Hmm just found out that some of the Earth-blue pieces I picked up are quite rare... The 4 (or even 6, unsure) Brick-With-Bow 4519933 even only appear in 3 sets, 2 of them being #10182 Cafe Corner and #10187 the original VW Beetle... (and #8893 Bionicle). Almost had to be a #10187, as they also had a bunch of medium…

In my opinion #4842 Hogwarts Castle #10187 Diagon Alley #4840 the burrow #4841 the hogwarts express #4738 Hagrid's hut These will cost a pretty penny though. #4866 Knight Bus is also rather nice. I am biased or call it sour grapes, I do not have anything from the earlier years. :-(

I am looking to clear some space while also getting a few things that are a little out of my price range by lowering the price with a trade. I know most of these items are small and inexpensive compared to what I'm looking for but I'm really looking to see if anyone is willing to take some of these sets plus cash for the…

^Totally agree. In fact I think a damaged box hurts a sale more than if you didn't have one because it portrays an image that the set was not taken care of. I just sold a used 10187 beetle, everything practically new except the box was in terrible shape. Took awhile but someone bought it and just told me to trash the box…

http://www.toysnbricks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=10187 I called yesterday in the hopes of conversing with a competent human being at Regal and was instead treated to a high dose of clueless apathy. They told me they didn't have them, weren't doing it, check AmStar, goodbye. Thanks "bro," that really helps us adults…

I too like the idea of hiding the studs on LEGO in models as often as possible. The real beginning in this practice was the 1970s LEGO Homemaker sets that had lots of LEGO tiles to hide stud surfaces. When TLG came out with the 10187 in 2008... I really disliked the very rugged studded design. So when the 10252 came out in…

+1 here. coming out of my dark age 2 years ago, I turned down the chance to buy a second hand VW Beetle set for £100 because by my logic they were only £70 new. Second to LEGO, VWs are my thing and I have owned 8 Bugs (still have one) and tons of other VWs. However £300+ is just ridiculous for a used #10187 now, so I will…

Oh dear, how ironic. It's best you make sure you don't fall foul of the very thing you accuse me of. Not once have I mentioned three of the sets you refer to. To the contrary, I actually said, "I can't speak for the older models." My #10187 shares some characteristics of other UCSs. It has a 10*** set number, it has a high…

Dear All, Got some sets to offload, currently just after all kind of Super Heroes sets and new wave of LOTR, interested mainly in mini-figures but can trade for a set also (doesn't have to be sealed), plus this sets: Pirates #6286 Skull's Eye Schooner #6289 Red Beard Runner #8157 Ferrari F1 1:9 #8169 Lamborghini Gallardo…

I purchased a 10187 from the US to the UK. I paid approx £250 including shipping which I thought was a fair price. Unfortunately I had to pay another £60 on top if that price for import duty! If you add the extra import duty to the price and the fact that the product may travel half way around the world, I would rather pay…
