I'm currently working on the Holiday Train #10173 by getting pieces off of BL. I am adding a few extra passenger cars on it too. The pieces are not that rare, but it does seem to fetch a decent price.

^ Good point 10173 Holiday Train has now been added to Advanced Models for the same reasons as the other sets. But should its subtheme be Trains or Winter Village? Are there any other sets that should be in Advanced Models/Creator Expert ?

We are currently cleaning out our basement of sealed sets to make room for a reno and would love to share these with others who might have a use for them now. We have sold and traded a few things to local bricksetters via this forum, and are known as kriskobrix on eBay. Here are some of the 9V and other train items we are…

Hi! I am looking for somebody that has the 1st book of the Holiday Train Instructions. I was wondering if they could scan the pages for the passenger car for me. I am looking at the PDF provided by LEGO and I cannot make out some of the black pieces. If anyone could help, that would be great! Thank you, Kyle

That window that @Pitfall69 has listed is the only window listed in the BL inventory period. There is no alternate part from BL. You can put glass in the frame, it has the holes for it. That and it is the same part in the #10183 Hobby Train and the #10173 Holiday Train. So yes, it would be wrong.

I am looking to clear some space while also getting a few things that are a little out of my price range by lowering the price with a trade. I know most of these items are small and inexpensive compared to what I'm looking for but I'm really looking to see if anyone is willing to take some of these sets plus cash for the…

Also, was lucky enough to purchase a #10173 Holiday Train for $34 on eBay, which has to be one of my better finds. Comes 100% complete with an excellent condition box and instructions. Excited to potentially put it around the Christmas tree next year... hopefully this doesn't lead to me being tempted to purchase the rest…

Hey everyone, I missed the Holiday train on ebay for charity and would love to pick up a used/open version. I know that these are extremely hard to find, but I was hoping to scour the depths of the BRickset community before I hit up ebay/bricklink. Cash is king, but I could also potentially trade for UCS sets, Tumbler, or…

Built a few of the older sets over the past week. Started with the 10173 holiday train...then 6210 Sail Barge, the 7018 Viking ship (the sail is huge), and just last night 6277 Imperial Trading Fort (Still one of my favorites)...Probably will tear them down in a week, as I still have the MVR, AC Earth Defense on tap and…

@Savage_Steel You can download the instructions direct from lego, just tap in the set number (10173) and download the appropriate PDFs. Of course, you'll need your computer on if you don't print them out, but it saves a bit of money. http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/BuildingInstructions/default.aspx (oh, wait. You already…
