I am really looking forward to these Pirates sets, although the names do not fill me with confidence as they sound like a precise retread of the 2009 theme. How about a large port type set like #6277 Imperial Trading Post?

My first choice would be Medieval Market Village, but since its been voted so many times, I'll throw Imperial Trading Post into the mix. Like MMV, such a great combination of civilian and military. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6277-1

Hello. I have a few loose LEGO sets for sale. Most of them are complete, unless noted, minus the extra parts after the build. Many of them have their instructions. They have been sitting in my parents' house for 20+ years and are a little dusty. Lots of great $5 sets. Prices do not include shipping. I'm located in the…

When it comes to Lego it needs to be 80s for me. These sets are good: 6277, 6080, 6085, 6066, 6054, 6085, 6077, 6071, 6271, 6285, 6271 If you dont have these, smaller sets from same period might be of interest too. I dont need boxes, but manuals would be nice.

As you guessed, you've got the hull pieces from #6271 Imperial Flagship The red/white sails are from #6285 Black Seas Barracuda and the tan sails are from the merchant ship in #6277. Hopefully you'll have the rest of the pieces to #6271 around in your other bricks. If you're not too concerned with being a purist, there are…

@hoyatables : If rebuilding El Dorado Fortess was a bit of a letdown for you, I'm afraid to say that Imperial Trading Post probably won't be any different. I'm not alone when I say that El Dorado Fortress is the superior designed set. With that said, #6277 is harder to come by, so as a collector I will always treat it with…

I would bring 5 of the floating cargo ships, and hope their combined buoyancy will get me to the mainland. Seriously though, I'd probably go with: 10179 Falcon 10196 Grand Carousel 10188 Death Star 6285 Black Seas Barracuda (the surroundings would be ideal of course) 6277 Imperial Trading Post A good mix of a good build,…

Built a few of the older sets over the past week. Started with the 10173 holiday train...then 6210 Sail Barge, the 7018 Viking ship (the sail is huge), and just last night 6277 Imperial Trading Fort (Still one of my favorites)...Probably will tear them down in a week, as I still have the MVR, AC Earth Defense on tap and…

The Pirates theme was one of my main interests when I first started collecting, so I have most of the sets. 6276 El Dorado Fortress and 6277 Imperial Trading Post are one of my personal favorite sets of all time, let alone among the Pirates theme. To be honest, though, there are also a number of poorly designed structures…

There is always a white whale for a collector, it's never ending. My latest white whale hunt ended in buying a very nice copy of #6277 which I've wanted for years. My current white whale is #7755 which I've also wanted for years but I seem to constantly get side tracked away from. I just can't seem to find one at a…
