Good choice. #60052 is the only train I have. It's a nice one and I thought it was far more interesting than the intercity style one.

Hi Brickset world. Wanted to share that Costco.ca (Canada online site sorry) has several sets are discounted prices. Being a train fan I zeroed in on 60052 for $178.99 and 60051 for $134.99 but there are other sets marked down as well (Jokerland for $134.99 as an example) Here is the link…

Built 60052 and 60050 last night. Both are really nice sets and I can't wait to build all my other trains for the holidays and have one gigantic train setup.

I have #60052 Cargo Train and #7895 Switching Tracks... and both have the newer, all-plastic piece! So it would seem that LEGO changed that part during the life of #7895.

I would say watch Amazon, as they have #60052 right now for 149.99 USD, #60051 (passenger train) 124.99 USD. Not hugely great deals, but not bad and they already have their motorization.

I really like the look of the 60052 train set. I grew up right beside a railroad track and this reminds me of many of the engines I would see multiple times a day.

I'll remain perplexed - #60098 was perpetually not on sale either via the main
[email protected] site or Amazon. It must have been a true "exclusive" in that sense unlike the #60052 which was HEAVILY discounted at times.
