Took a look today. There was only one deal to be had in all of it: the 60018 Cement Mixer, for about $15. Applied a couple of $5 off coupons and scored two for around $10 each, pre-tax. Not too bad, and at TRU, no less. Almost reminds me of the good old days when there were BOGOs you could even use on Technic, and life was…

I think a decent rule of thumb is if your comment to discussion ratio isn't *at least* 15 to 1, then you are probably starting too many threads. The mods here do the best job I've ever seen of closing or combining pointless or duplicate threads, but it's usually easy to spot a newcomer who can't wait to start a new topic…

Okay not that I would do this but it seems like an easy way to scam getting minifigures for collectors. For instance I'm looking for the three dwarfs from the Goblin King set.....If I were to take those (minus weapons) I would be under the 15 piece maximum for missing pieces. How do they replace something like that. It…

Hey, folks. To all of you who waited patiently, many thanks. I've now finished making my price list. It's here: http://lego.gondorian.com/legopricelist.html Please read the notes above the list carefully. Since the prices are based on undercutting eBay Buy-It-Now by 15%, they will change over time. I'll try to keep them in…

I remember waiting in line at the return desk at Walmart behind a lady returning 15 lawn chairs the morning of July 5th. She clearly had bought them for a July fourth party, used them, and tried to pack them back up in the packing like they were still new. In spite of the dishonesty it was difficult not to admire the…

My other big hobby is original comic book art. I have a very big and costly collection. I have bought, sold and traded comic art for the last 15 years. I have a question...are the pages the actual art or just production scans. I have seen lots of art sold as "original" when its either just the inks or scans.

Also picked up two TC-4 for $15, Revan for $22.50, Hulk minifig for $30, Iron Patriot for $36 (US prices, all still in their polybags). Also managed to score a Malgus for under $25 approximately (without shipping most eBay listing at the time were around $30), part of a bulk Amazon order, think the ship on each item came…

There were quite a few sets that made this deal a steal!!! I snatched up the Bulldozer. Which is probably the best deal of all the sets. I then got the snow plow and fire truck. I "encouraged" a hesitant clerk to price match the fire truck and give me the $5 off coupon. After tax I ended up getting both of those for…

YMMV of course, but my nearest TRU in Glen Burnie MD had what looked like all of the new releases on the shelves today. Agents, Elves, Ninjago, Pirates, Superheroes, City construction sets and Speed Champions. I picked up the two Ferrari cars ($15 each). The only Speed Champions set they didn't have was the Porsche 918 and…
