@Mark_C I wasn't around during the 'golden age' of Lego, but I do believe it was much better. I also agree that there are far more licensed sets now than in previous years. As @CCC has said, there are more licensed themes, but it's not so much that unlicensed sets are being 'taken over' by licensed sets.As others have…

I know it may raise some eyebrows, but I sometimes let my Fabuland figures co-mingle with my regular minifigures...🙂 I’ve chimed in before on the box issue, but I’ll state my case- 1. I really like the box art 2. I have room to keep them 3. Walking around a room filled with lined-up vintage boxed sets makes me feel like…

I think that's more just because the City theme tends to have less complex and detailed buildings than Creator 3-in-1 by default. I don't see the buildings in sets like #60291 and #60292 as any sort of departure from the norm in that regard — if anything, they strike me as an improvement on their previous counterparts…

I never understood the ending of BTTF 3, sorry if this is a spoiler but the film's been out for like 40 years so I don't care. So in 1885 there's a main line going ahead and a siding with a wooden bridge under construction. The steam train pushes the Deloren off the bridge, in time for it to time travel and land on the…

I do think Lego should release more battle pack sets for things like knights and Imperial soldiers (as well as other themes). It's really annoying when you can't even properly defend your castle/fort (eg Creator 3 in 1 Castle with only 2 knights....). My Kingdoms King's Castle had a decent amount of troops although a…

@Casper_vd_Korf @Lyichir I agree with both arguments. A time travel theme that covers lots of different eras would be great since we would get lots of historical themes rather than just one, which could include sets both for classic themes like pirates, castle, western, as well as new ideas. On the other hand, I also agree…

Probably not an unpopular opinion, but I'm getting somewhat jaded by all the "Adult" sets that LEGO seems to be pumping out. Even without the drab redesign to the black background -- "Drab" being a fairly popular opinion -- it felt like LEGO was getting away from what made it enjoyable. There was a sense of wonder,…

@Aanchir You make a good argument. A little late to the debate but still valid of course! Nevertheless I would still argue Avatar is at a minimum in a grey zone as although it's fantasy, the human tech could definitely be considered reminiscent of current (and very near future) U.S army tech. They have modern (current, non…

@Aanchir Yes I did have those old Town racetrack sets in mind. Now that we have road plates, perhaps we could bring back the old town type sets with baseplates (but roadplates for the road section and regular plates for any buildings or side builds instead). I'd be open to a proper racetrack set, even better a whole…

Like @KungFuKenny said above, I mainly think sorting tends to come down to a question of size, with a secondary question of what your main building goals are. On the size note, I think that sorting follows a pretty natural progression:1. Not sorted -> 2. Sorted by color -> 3. Sorted by color and general size -> 4. Sorted…
