I just got 2 of the #41999 at the Sacramento Lego Store. They had 6 left in stock but would only sell 2 to a person. There were people calling on the phone asking for them but they wont hold them so you have to show up to grab them.

It would make sense that the 9398 would be a tad bit faster considering it has less weight due to part count including an extra motor... I would also expect the 41999 batteries to drain a little faster considering it has the extra functions like lights...

Finally got my #41999 delivered from
[email protected] (They were on backorder, due to an issue with my initial order). The boxes are so nice! and are in perfect condition. Would love to open one but they will probably go in the pile with all my other larger sets waiting for the Lego room to be built before I crack them open.

I'm sorry, is there a joke here or something? From what we have been told (and have known for a bit): 1) The set # is #41999 2) Only 20000 were made 3) Each box has within it, a license plate printed with a unique # from 1-20000 4) Yours is # 18799 What'd I miss?

I just noticed this morning when checking my order of this, clicking on the set link http://shop.lego.com/en-US/4x4-Crawler-Exclusive-Edition-41999 the error "page can not be found" shows up for the US store and when checking the UK store it is listed as sold out! If so, I'm really glad I ordered mine when I did.

Saturday morning I was in the Lego store in the Rockefeller Center. To my surprise they had three #41999 on display. By the time I popped back to pick up the one they put aside for me, the other two had gone. Having said that I didn't ask if they had any round the back. So yes I guess some stores may still have some.

http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/11702/expired-us-41999-crawler-exclusive-edition-set-is-now-available-on-s-h-us/p4 YellowCastle asked me a 2 word question basically the same manner that the poster above was... It is expected... I certainly didn't take it as being disrespectful... Most people here that are "In the…

What if they just bring out the set in a regular style box with no printed plate numbers..? If they change the product enough from the original's "exclusiveness", they really wouldn't be breaking any rules... But they would be foolish to continue to sell a product that directly conflicts with one of their other products in…

I can offer free rain to go with your parade: every ID is equally unique. In fact that's what unique really means in the first place, one of a kind. I haven't built mine yet, so can't comment on the speed, but I've heard people say the exact opposite thing, that the 41999 is actually faster than the 9398. I have no idea…

Went Tuesday to the Sunrise,FL store to buy a couple of Modular buildings and saw 41999 on the shelf right by them. I could not believe how nice the box is! Needless to say that I changed my mind almost immediately and drop the modulars to get this. Even though I've never built a Technic set before, this was impossible to…
