Went to the Ideapark today which is near Tampere. The MiniManni store has a lot of Lego and some nice older kits. There were quite a few nice and unbashed versions of Toy Story models - marked with 40% discount so the Train was €51 (bought 1 left 4). There were also some Star Wars sets including the Slave1 8097 at €99. I…

I'd rather have a UCS AT-AT. No chance of an ISD in 2014 with SSD still in circulation in 2013. I could live with a Slave I if it's significantly better than #8097. Is Slave I big enough in reality to be a minifig scale UCS? 8097 to fig ratio seems a little small, but not massively undersized.

6209 and 8097 are pretty similar to my eyes; hard to believe that a new paint job and better minifigures = 50% price increase....

Some sets really do have worse stickers. The Slave I (8097) has stickers that are already peeling and I bought it this February!

well...now having seen the set...looks like it's time for me to sell my 8097 to make some space and raise funds for this one

^^ lol 8097 EOL'd at the end of 2011. Inventories were basically exhausted by March... Already doubled in price from what it last sold on amazon for...

but @muffeman when you have a batch that rapidfires like on 8097 then it makes it all worth it (it was the set that returned me to Lego aside from the new ambulance and calendar, and my intro to flick fires)

found these. The seller says he has 60 pounds of it with maybe 15% of it being megabloks and knock offs. What really caught my eye were what appears to be parts for #7676 and #8097
