The new and the old make a perfect pair. I have two 630-1 in green and around 14 630-3 because lego put them in a few sets these days. I prefer using the two together but if I had to pick one it would be the 630-3. -

Pick a Brick: Quantities per cup/box
I'm currently working on a large MOC (for me at least) and it's got me interested in finding out just how many of a given element a cup can hold or even a box, and is there a difference in economics between the two especially with the bump in prices this year? I've done some measuring and felt I might not be the only one… -
