I received my first Lego set, #565 Moon Landing, when I was 5 years old. That was about 38 years ago. I was actively collecting from 1976-1989 (well, "begging my parents" is actually the correct term!), then from 1999-present (Star Wars brought me out of the "dark ages"). I still have #565, along with #445 and #113, all my…

I've used the PAB tubs (and fill them very efficiently -- 565 1x2, with 1x4 tiles as fillers, for example) ... but where does one get the cardboard PAB boxes?? Last time I was there, I saw quite a few kids with them ...

The LEGO Dimensions game is The LEGO Group's first foray into the growing field of “Toys to Life”, where physical toys with RFID tags can be pulled into your gaming experience by placing the toy on a special portal. The gameplay is based on the hugely successful LEGO Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and more, by…

My first set was #565 moon landing. I need to work on getting it or bricklinking it after all my childhood Lego were given away by my dad. A close second is my sealed UCS MF which I plan to open and build with my son in short order.

Parents bought me #565-1 Moon Landing. This was only 7 years after Apollo 11...then I got #445-1 Police Units and #113-1 Universal Building Set. I had a blast building all sorts of stuff with those sets. Once Classic Space came into being, I was hooked for life!

^I second this; parting with 565 Moon Landing (my first ever set), 462 Rocket Launcher (my first system set), or 497 Galaxy Explorer (my favorite set) will be difficult. The modulars (I have the full set) look fantastic, but they'll be sold off before the space stuff when the time comes...

Don't know if I linked the photo correctly, but anyway ... my mom saved all my old sets and instructions. When I first got that box out a few years ago, the kids went a little crazy. We had a town with 1970's hospital, fire station, police station, plus current (at the time) Speed Racer cars and Anakin's Starfighter, and…

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3144&in=S I did look it up and your exactly right. The white aerial first appeared in 1969 and was included in many sets until 1973. Light Grey's run was from 1979-1984. Milky white had the longest run as it first appeared in 1976 in set # 565 Moon Lander. I received that set…
