Hillary Fisher Page/Kiddicraft, at least according to what I have read. It would seem that a big opportunity in the market right now would be for a manufacturer that can match LEGO quality to produce bulk packs of bricks, like the ones listed here http://brickset.com/sets/theme-Bulk-Bricks, or sets like #4496 and…

Not quite riots, but Black Friday promos like #10697 do annoy me when there are zero available from the retailer and lots on eBay at 200% markups on the day of the sale.

There's another one on eBay with a Buy-it-Now of $998. At least 7886 is a set that came out in 2008. To me, profiteering is the 464 auctions flipping the $30 Black Friday #10697 box.

Keep an eye out for Black Friday ads. #10697 has been on sale the last couple of years, about as close to the "Classic Pieces" set as LEGO is making. #10702 is another good one, and was on sale for $10 last year

Walked into my local Walmart today and found a #10697 for $19. At Target store found 40 packs Batman polybag #30522 for $3.99, a few Star Wars polybags # 30279 and 1 Joker bumper car polybag #30303 for $3.49

I recently listed a #41067 - some of its figures have stickered parts. I initially put them up unstickered but changed my mind. Since I was using the sticker sheet, I also added stickered versions of other parts. Other recent additions include 6 #10697, 2 #30447, #41118, #41172, 2 #41174, 2 #70312, 2 #70600 . #10622 is…

The 1-per-customer rule is great in theory, except the biggest scalpers will have 1000 minions with 1000 email accounts set to buy as soon as the set goes on sale, just like they do with the Black Friday sales. If I remember correctly, #10697 had a limit of 2 last year on Walmart's Black Friday sale, but Toy Wiz was…

MattsWhat has an excellent point about sorting and cleaning and the value of your time. I'm usually sorting while watching TV in the evenings, so for me that time was already lost. Walmart has the 1500 piece 10697 box bouncing in and out of stock at $50. Almost two years ago I emerged from a long "dark age" when I found a…

^The same thing has happened with #10697 on Walmart Black Friday sales, resellers grab a lot of them and immediately list for resale right on the Walmart website. Since I refuse to buy LEGO from scalpers, it took me a couple of years before I managed to get that set. For stuff in brick-and-mortar stores, your best bet is…

For display as a set it has to be: #10696 #10697 #10698 These are wonderful for play, but the builds as instructed in the sets are just not display objects. I don't know if they all make the $50 threshold, probably not for the smaller bucket. Although I also wouldn't display any Chima, Disney, Elves, Juniors, Friends,…
