I'm a retired IT guy. I was thinking about creating a web site for Lego instruction books. Ones that are scaned and easily downloaded. What do you think. Looking for an instruction book for 8458 Silver Champion.

Hi. I recently picked up a Silver Champion http://brickset.com/sets/8458-1/Silver-Champion that has seen better days. I'm guessing this model was either kept as a display in a smokey bar or pool-hall, or was on display in a serious smokers home and then locked away in a damp storage area. When I got the model, I wore…

I have #8458 and #8461, was exited to build #42000 but it was such a let down (+ many people reported mismatched colors, if buying for resell, that could be an issue). It might do good after market, but it is not #8458 quality.

Ok, I got the bug. For the last year or so I've been putting together some Lego for my grandson, now I want one for myself! I don't know much at all about Lego, but I know what I like and I'm looking for a large Technic set. Most I've been looking at are out of production and very expensive. First on my wish list is a…

You mean the older wider F1 tires from the 8458, 8461, and 8674..? Yeah, they were better for this kind of car... It was nice to see the larger ones(rear tires) from the Nitro Muscle get back into production though...

Was digging through my photo albums (proper old school printed pictures like we used to have years ago!) looking for something else when I stumbled upon this snap from the Birmingham Motorshow from 2000.... ....I presume it was built to highlight #8458 Silver Champion that came out the same year.

I would have to vote for 8880... am I really the only one? I just like that it uses true bricks! And then there is the V8, 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering, gearbox, etc, etc, etc... I also, have a 8448, and a 8458, but the 8880 is still my Fav! Guess I am always a sucker for great Technic Cars!

Got ya... You just said "set" in your initial post, that was why I mentioned the 7471... This subject had come up at Eurobricks before, what would you consider the #8653 Enzo, #8145 599 GTB, and some of the other "Racers" sets like the #8682 Nitro Intimidator, #8146 Muscle, and #8649 Menace..? I know they say "Racers" on…
