   I like #2150 / #4554 #7822 #7824 The newer stations are OK, #7997 harkens back to #7822. Just like the new one I think harkens back to #7824

   It is one of the best for sure. I also think that, for their age, #7822 and #7824 are pretty nice too IMO

   Made some BL orders for those 12V-era train sets where I have missing parts ( #7750, #7823, #7866 and #7824 ). Once these sets are complete again (at least all electric parts seem to work) I'll put together a train layout so I can decide how strong I feel about going down the collecting Lego trains rabbit hole...

   I'm cheating slightly as it's not 'a' set, but my 12v train
sets are my favourite. #7710 retro fitted with the standalone 12v motor, with
#7866 level crossing and #7824 station. I've bought more since, but they were
amongst my first childhood sets and it's those that evoke the happiest
Lego-related…

Loco is great as is spool car, gantry and the little office, but it seems like they kinda phoned in the design with the open cattle car (one cow?) and the .. whatever the octan tank car is IMO.
