   Ha! The instructions for #70838 insist that you build Star upside down, despite the fact that all of the box art shows him correctly, and this configuration doesn't allow him to sit in his pod.

   Following the top tip re Smyths from @Brainslugged and a jaunt to Ipswich this morning I’ve just started #70838 and loving the scaled down versions of ice cream cone and queen W. Trying to think now of another set with minifigures or mini dolls where you don’t get anybody to assemble in bag 1.

   They're readily available figures already released. They were in #10599, #6862 or #71209, and #41235. I don't expect them to be re-released for the movie line, much like the Master Builders in the first film who weren't original creations weren't. It's coming (#70838), but not as a D2C set.     Right? It's really the only option for a bunch of basic Duplo bricks that you need to make the types of creatures featured in the film. I actually browsed TRU's shelves, looking for a set with the rounded 2x4 bricks with eyes to make the ostritch(?) and the little flying ones from... but all of the sets currently…
