^ 6212 should never do much, given that the newer X-Wing is such a better set. 6212 was out for 5 years, "limited edition" indeed! :) 4841 and 8129 are the two really good sets that he has, those two have already gone up to about double RRP.

^ Good points. But, another thing that hurts the 6212 was that it was out for 4 years. Allowing most people to get it if they wanted. ^--- Agreed, but the added part is of finding out what are the older sets that you want and get those first as those will most likely be the ones to be gone first. Unless it is a 6212 XWing of course.

It is the same reason I didn't stock up on 6212, the last gen X-Wing, the new model is far superior. I can see a much better MF in a few years...

Another problem with 6212 is that the only portion of it that's exclusive as far as the minifigs go is Wedge's helmet, so you don't even have the minifigs working to drive the price of that particular set up.

6212 goes for about 50 right now if you are lucky (that is after eBay and Paypal have their way with you of their fees). MAYBE around Christmas they may stretch to 60 but I doubt it will be much more than that.
