   Lego Status: Just finished reconstructing #4559 from a bulk lot of 50 lbs. Now officially addicted to 9v trains 5 years to late.

   You should be able to get a good used motor from Ebay for about $35.00. If you are patient and wait until summer comes along it can be had for less. You can also sell your broken motor believe it or not. Many of the Lego 9V trains don't need the center pin to operate correctly, such as the 4563, 4559, etc.

   I don't even see trains as a product category on Lego.com. I'm surprised Lego doesn't have more train related sets like they used to. Are they missing another opportunity or have trains gone the way of the western and kids aren't interested in them anymore? I have set 4559 set up right now. I'm building a "town" right now…

    Without including train track sections for obvious reasons I would say I own 32 of set 7566 because they were cheap when they went eol. But for actual large sets I own 8 or maybe 9 4559's just because I like the color scheme and it doesn't flip off the track at full speed like other 9v trains tend to do. Really it's not…
