  I hadn't even heard about this set before. Neat how LEGO keeps creating new versions of classic sets. I had built a 1980s version of this last year, which I found at a yard sale.

  TLG is clearly breaking both the 10 cent per part rule as well as the $100 per large boxed set rule.
  
  Garage # 7642 retired a year ago was $99 and had more parts than the new City Garage does at $119.
  
  The new set is 13 cents a part, which seems to be the new baseline price, everything goes up from there.

  TRU is no longer marking up LEGO (for the time being). No clue on how long it will last.

  ^ It's done. Prices are back up above MSRP (except the sets which are currently on sale - including many Star Wars sets).

  Bought this set a few weeks ago from korea for less than the [email protected] cdn price and it is awesome!!fits in great across the street from my airport in lego city,also the vw van is perfect for the hippy.

  Looks like the Hospital / "Helicopter Rescue" is also now available. $60 is pretty steep for what looks like a pretty simple building. Though I guess the Bank was smaller and cost $50 at retail. Will have to wait for a decent sale because the concept is cool and Tables-Town could use a medical clinic.

  I just got back from a local TRU and they had a 2 day sale here, July 27-28: get 5891 Apple Tree House for 37.49. While they have it listed at 25% their overpriced cost, it is still 16% off MSRP price. Again, these 2 days only, but I am not sure if this a nationwide sale or not.
