How does one pick a single favorite? Guess at the minute I'd pick the Frankenstein we just got in the bulk Lego we bought today because it only came in set #1382-1 Scary Laboratory. It's very cool and complete!

    Cannot name just one...

Really like Deadpool as well, or whatever his name is. Not rare or valuable but he looks really cool. Same with Magneto. I'm such a big minifig guy I could list the ones I like all day.

The sentimental part of me wants to list off a bunch of castle and classic space figs from my childhood, but the details on the new ones they make now are astonishing. I would probably have to pick the Falcon Knight in the new Joust set, he is fantastic

Kashyyyk Trooper- rare, super cool minifigure. One of my prized possessions. Wish I could have multiples of this guy.

@sidersdd - Thanks for the link...I was struggling to find it.

Like others I can't choose just one, some I like because they are unique such as the Frankenstein from the Scary Laboratory, and the Troll from Harry Potter, others I like because they are colorful like the Islanders and Indians. But then, what's not to like about the figs from the Black Pearl set. Just because they are different I'm currently collecting all the 4 Juniors figures! Nope, can't pick just one!

My current favourite is the CMF Hippy. Waiting for someone to split the new city garage on ebay so I can buy him a nice little brown camper van.
Original blacktron was (to the then-eight-year-old julian) a great leap forward in Cool.
I have the redneck trucker 4-junior figure: image and he is both rubbish and great at the same time. My kids just don't see the appeal though!
I too love both Alien Conquest Commanders.
Given the universal appeal of POTC to the rest of the non AFOL/sci-fi world, Captain Jack has to be up there as the most instantly recognisable minifig for the average non-lego fan.

    He's not that unique ...

Imperial Guards/Soldiers. I put the image of Imperial Guards because for some reason as a kid I really liked the blue colored epaulettes. Now as an adult thought I prefer Imperial Soldiers (Difference being Blue coat and red epaulets.

I also really like the Gold Knight mentioned on the first page, but I don't physically have that figure yet...

I used to love the black astronauts as a kid. A more recent favorite is Jango Fett

Baron von Barron from the Adventurers line. He was the ultimate villain for playing with Lego. Monocle, scarred cheek, hook for hand.

I would say that Chrome Darth Vader would be my favorite minifig ever, he's so awesome!

My favorite minifig that I actually have is either Jango Fett or the Chrome Stormtrooper, because they are both (kind of) rare as well as really cool!

    Great thread!

    1) Mola Ram
    2) Kashyyyk trooper
    3) Greedo
    4) Cloud City Fett
    5) Jango Fett
    6) Professor Trewlany
    7) Bib Fortuna
    8) Chrome Vader
    9) Chrome C3PO
    10) Emporer from Imperial Inspection

Of the above I am only missing a Chrome C3PO from my collection, but not for long ;)

Honourable mentions go to original Gam Guard and Cloud City Lando.

Do you guys count larger moulded Lego such as Jabba as a minifigure? If so he would be in the list for sure!

I also couldn't pick just one... or even 10! In the CMF alone there are too many, as ones I thought I didn't care for grow on me and all of a sudden I love them. I am pretty partial to the Pharaoh and Egyptian Queen, though.

Tell you what I won't ever pick as favorite (and I've tried so hard!) are the mini dolls from the Friends line. I like them as their own thing but they dont feel Lego-y enough for me. It's such a pain because I really like the sets!

Yep. They're absolute crap. They don't attach to seating, their hands don't rotate, they can't be equipped with accessories (I'm talking headgear etc, not those bullshit pink hairbrushes or whatever it is they come with) but most importantly they just look like complete trash. They don't fit in with other LEGO themes. It reminds me of those effing repulsive Technic figures of the olden days.

If anybody ever brings a Friends minidoll over the threshold of my home... I'm going to cut off their thumbs, so they can never enjoy LEGO again.

@Jawascrump - Great idea! Somebody should organise a secret Santa here on Brickset.

My top five Minifigures would be:

    1. Darth Malgus
    2. Greedo
    3. Boba Fett (the newest one and the Cloud City one equally)
    4. Original Winged Geonosian
    5. Pre Vizsla

No one takes the cake more than Dr. Inferno from the Agents line ("1.0" and 2.0). There is just something about him that just says "awesome".

    Pic to come...
    As promised...
  • JawascrumpJawascrump Member Posts: 112
Yeah secret santas work really well in the vintage sw world. It's nice to go out on a limb and treat your fellow collectors. Also it means your guaranteed a decent Christmas present!!!
Normally there are £20 spend limits, but if you wish you can spend more. This last year I gave a Jango Fett minifigure and a small toy story set.
We will have to implement it in a few months time ;)

Back on topic the new Fett looks fantastic. TLG have really raised the bar with this years figures.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
No one has mentioned the "not another bloody skater" figure from the CMF series, soon to be superseded by the "really, another one?" in S8.

I love image Woody, Buzz, and Chip Nebula from RoboForce.

This is great! I am surprised that so many of people's favorites were ones I hadn't even thought of. There are even some that I didn't know about. What is also interesting to me is the way I feel about my list 9 months later. There are a couple of figs on the list that were fairly new when I wrote it, so they had that initial newness pushing them up into the list. Also, in the 9 months since I wrote the list, a whole host of figures have been released as well as 5 entirely new themes!

I am definitely going to have to redo my list now, and it is going to be even harder. I would have a hard time picking 10 of the greatest that were released just this year with all the super heroes, LOTR, Monster FIghters, Friends, new star Wars, Amidala...

I'm going old school. My favorite are the knighs from the origial yellow castle. While the legs and torsos were pretty generic back then, the helmet with the Grille and Feather makes the figure. It is such a unique piece and one that is extremely difficult to find intact as many of them were lost/broker 35 years ago. My favorite by far!
  • YpresYpres Member Posts: 200
My favourite minifigure, while not a "true minifigure" to all, is the newest General Grievous.
I'm also in love with the Kingdoms (red suited) King, the Fantasy era (blue suited) King, and the Fantasy era troll/goblin King.
I also loved some of the Pharaoh's Quest and Atlantis minifigures, although my favourites of 2011 were still the NinjaGo DX outfits... those were hot.

The bat boys from the Vampyre Castle are pretty cool as well..

as @huw mentioned in the Brickset newsfeed, for me its the new Boba Fett minifig found in set #9496 too... it's quite simply superb! my fav SW character immortalised in LEGO!!
  • DiggydoesDiggydoes Member Posts: 1,079
One of my favourite one is the Jawa from SW! But maybe it's just because i don't own one;) but i remember that as a kid i always liked those little guys from the Movie! On a sidenote: i never really knew wether they are meant to be evil or good? Or even neutral (do "neutral"characters even exist in the SW-universe?)?
  • bellybutton290bellybutton290 Member Posts: 453
Looks like the new Boba is going to knock my beloved snowtrooper off the top of my best minifig list when I get the skiff set at the end of the month!
  • JawascrumpJawascrump Member Posts: 112
As you may have guessed I have a bit of a Jawa passion lol! I personally think they are "neutral" they are outside the Rebellion and the Empire.

They do like to torture Droids though.... So it is a bit of a grey area!

The Lego Jawa minifigure is a corker though- I am still hopeful of getting a 10144 one day. I just can't justify the £220 it would cost me for an open one!!!

Aayla Secura (excuse the possibly poor spelling) is a nice fig too. Took me ages to find one!

Bellybutton: Just finished the Skiff - Boba is very well detailed.

^seems everyone is in agreement can't wait to get paid at the end of the month and get the set.
  • DiggydoesDiggydoes Member Posts: 1,079
    ^hmm somehow i feel like i gotta buy me "Droid-Torturer" a.k.a. Jawa ASAP :)
Ah yeah and another favourite Figure is the common Stormtrooper! I would love to own 1k of them!!!
  • CancanCancan Member Posts: 31
Jawas are lawful evil, I think, though the case could be made for chaotic neutral.

    Ooops! Wrong forum!
  • soundczarsoundczar Member Posts: 21
Greatest of all time? Wow that's tough, but I can say, as a comic collector for over 30 years, the "old school" Batman with blue cape and cowl and the yellow circle bat was a welcome addition.
  • mrseatlemrseatle Member Posts: 410
I meant Space Police III, I think.
  • SherlockbonesSherlockbones Member Posts: 411
Ouch, toughie here.... Going to say TC-14 for the specials and maybe the new Boba XD

As I was looking at the comments under the "Series 10 minifigs revealed" news topic I noticed a comment from @csilla77 about a favorite minifigure that would never be replaced. That got me to thinking, I'm fairly sure we all have one of those!

My personal favorite has always been Pepper from the Xtreme Stunts sets. He was always 'my guy' as a kid (I know... he's not that old, but neither am I) and so I've kept this one safe in my collection.

So I want to know, what minifigure will always be your favorite? Is it from your childhood? Is it because of a favorite theme? Maybe a newer figure that you just can't get over? Give me the story! Post a photo!

Alright, thanks! I had searched pages and pages to make sure there wasn't a discussion with this title already and couldn't find it so I just went ahead and made one.
To my knowledge I can't delete this anymore anyway though, correct?

^ Correct; actually, you can't even delete a post within the 6 minute edit window. But don't worry, the mods will move it when they get a chance.

I don't even have it yet, but come May, it will be this one. Just something about it that is so cheerful, nostalgic and awesome.
