It was my first time 'in town' since I posted that(8th).  The same sets are still on the shelves on clearance prices.  Not a one has been touched.  There's still 8-10 Throne Rooms

Eagan, MN Walmart: #41723 and #41733, each $4. On a table in the main aisle next to Toys. I bought a #41733.
    Cheaper than a polybag!

I picked up 60345 Farmer's Market Van and 76238 Classic TV Series Batman Cowl each for $20.00 at two different Walmarts.

Was very happy to get the van at a reasonable price. It was over price and should have been $30.00 max, as MSRP of $44.99 was insane. Glad I got it for the price of a normal food truck.

The Batman Cowl was just a lucky find. It was the only one left at a Walmart I visit infrequently. This is my first ever helmet. I've never bought any before because of the price and I've never managed to find one marked down enough to grab. For $20.00 I couldn't pass this one up. It was an awesome build and I'm very happy to have a helmet now.

@BrickWaters thanks, I may have to venture out to Walmarts and check for a market van on clearance.  I like it but mainly for parts so not at close to full price.

My local store has piles of 76213: King Namor's Throne Room for $15 (57% off). Not marked for clearance, just on an end cap. Figs alone are worth more than that. I tucked a few away on my shelf.

I haven't been finding any good bargains like some of you in my local Walmarts lately.  Any sets I've scanned recently come up with prices cosiderably higher than their current online prices.  Also the Lego shelves have gone back to being almost as barren as they were in January.   I have two local stores and one a bit further away I can easily check. One doesn't seem to put the reduced price tags up until there is no more stock of that item available.  The further away one has a very small Lego section so it's very rare to find much of interest unless I manage to visit it on the exact right mark down day which happens about once a year for me.  The third which is my second nearest one doesn’t ever keep much stock on the shelves ever despite Walmart.com constantly saying they have certain items in stock.  The few times I've tried order pick-up from them the items they give me are pretty beat up with no stock out on the shelves to exchange for.  They also always condense the Lego aisle to almost nothing after the holidays each year.  On rare occasions I've actually found a good bargain in their clearance aisle.  This is the store that had the City Lunar Research Station in the clearance aisle for months at full price last year.  There are two more stores that keep almost everything locked up so not worth the effort to check for deals unless I'm there for something else because the shelf tags never match the products that are on the shelf.  One of these still had some overpriced Vidiyo Beat Boxes in the clearance aisle last time I checked about a month ago, and I haven't been to the other store in almost a year.

Local Walmart lowered their clearance prices again. There wasn’t anything left except a lone #11019 for $9, but they put the shelf stickers up anyway.

^ Yep!  Collectable Minifigures and polybags were dropped to $1.50.  I ended up finding about 15 Series 24 and there were about 50 The Muppets.

Boba Fetts Throne Room #75326   $49
    Classic   #11020        $49
Minecraft The Training Room #21183.      $35
Ninjago #71772 The Crystal King   $40

     So 50% of RRP now

I got two more #30646 Moana's Dolphin Cove for $1.50 each. Same price on shelf for #30654 X-wing and CMF 24, but none there.

^ Thanks for the heads up!!   My nearest WM still has the Farmers Van clearanced at $35...but checked another store that I knew had clearance and I was able to find:

    1   #76216 Iron Man Armory  $15
    3   #31143 Creator Bird House   $5

I just popped into that same store 2 days ago and there were 3 Iron Man and 8 Bird Houses...so someone beat me to them.

Apple Valley Walmart has #30634, #30651, and #30652 polybags; the Disney 100 CMFs; SW dioramas #75353 and #76353; #75356 SSD; #75346 Pirate Sub Fighter; and #75348 TIE & Fang Fighter.

#75348 is on the top shelf- look for the image of the Fang Fighter on the box end.

Finally get around to checking Wally World, no luck. Another guy un the aisle said he saw the clearance gone last week and he doesn't expect another wave of markdowns for months. D'oh!

My Walmart continues to rock rather old product at this point at full MSRP too. They have a couple of HP sets I'd like to snag at a discount for my Winter Village...but not at full price.

Hopefully the markdown will happen at some point and coincide with a visit.

I got a couple thankfully! Not interested in the set itself, but for the pieces at that price and unique figs, might be worth it.

when I looked it didn't even get brought up on the app or website, so must have all sold?
  • scotty12scotty12 Member Posts: 852
I checked less than 2 hours after @CaptainRogers had posted the deal and it was already sold out.

This was one of those "gone in 15 minutes" deals. Still, wanted to share ASAP!

If I were you I'd set a "LEGO" alert for the Slickdeals apps. It's paid off for me.

I saw much of the same.  I had to go an hour away to move before a vacation so I hit the small WM.  I have to small WM that seem to clearance out 'newer' stuff 6months to a year earlier than other WMs.   Saw much of the same as above.
Except my Mandalorian Helmet was $61, and there were HP poly was $3 and Dr. Strange poly was $4.
      #76909 Speed Champions   $31
     #31131  Downtown Noodle Shop  $31
    #31131  Creator viking Ship   $84

My Walmart too had a whole slew of sets on clearance, most seemed to be in about the 30% off range. So not too bad.
I picked up just a couple off my want list #10777 #60354 and weirdly enough the #30651 polybags were also on sale, so I picked up a couple of those too.

So my Walmart had #75330 down to $63.00 (from $90.00). They all had big crunch marks from the wire anti-theft device so it was a no go for me but I was impressed by the markdown.

Stopped at Inver Grove Heights WM on my way home from the park. Quite a bit of clearance, mostly 20-30% off, a few even better.#76399 Hogwarts Magical Trunk was $38, down from $65 RRP.

Found a bunch of the same a few days ago, I've been so busy I forgot to tell you guys.  Notables were the Tie Fighter #75300 for 28.50 and the AT-ST for 34.50.  Mostly SW, HP, Friends and a creator set.

I store near me had the Viking ship on sale for 80, but the box was really beat up and had that stupid security string around it so I passed. I saw the Ministry of Magic set for 70, but still could not bring myself to buy it.. Wound up just getting a couple of #31131 Creator Noodle shops for 31 each. There would have been a time where I would have cleared the racks of these, but the prices just are not that good anymore to me for that. Maybe if I could find a Walmart that had a couple of the viking ships in good shape, but I tend not to wander from Walmart to Walmart anymore, I just went to this one because there is a Super Target across the street and went there for a bunch of stuff I needed (sadly no Batman polys at either though)

Apple Valley WM has #60346 Barn and Farm Animals for $49- that's 30% off! I'm glad I waited.
Edit: some of this store's clearance prices are higher than other WMs. But I haven't seen the barn elsewhere lately.

Wish the Walmarts would all have the same markdowns.  There was a lot on clearance in mine but some of the prices were higher than what some of you have reported elsewhere and not all the same sets were reduced either.  I picked up another Ministy of Magic to expand the one I already have & another Hogwarts Trunk for parts.  Also got Emma's Art School for $49.  They had the City Mission sets marked down to I think $27.50.  Only polybag was the Quidditch one but it was still regular price & I don't need anymore of those anyway.  I've actually not seen the shelves so well stocked in months.

Ugh!  Now I need to find a discounted copy of #76420.   The only HP sets I've bought so far this year are 2 of the banners using Kohl's Cash and the polybag.  Been waiting for discounts or HP GWP's.

Rumor is a Gringotts Vault, it could be Harry's or Bellatrix's, with the rumored release of the rumored D2C Gringott's in September supposedly.  No confirmation if it will be available with other HP sets yet.  As yet all unconfirmed speculation.  And most likely the Quidditch Polybag will be offered in store as in the past.

Considering that set was just released, I am surprised that it was on clearance. But stranger things have happened. Years ago I stumbled across multiple Hobbit sets that were just released at the time and they were all marked down 20%. Very odd.

I've only seen the Trunk set on clearance for HP. Which I bought because it was on clearance, but I didn't really need much out of it to be honest.

Went to three different Walmarts today.  Mostly the same as what's already been listed although I saw reduced prices on most of the Wakanda sets.  I think I saw the SW trash Compactor for $49 in one store.  Thinking about getting it but now that I've seen Eldorado I think my money would be better spent on that.  No luck finding the HP Lake Task set at the previously reported reduced price.  A couple of the new Friends Bedroom sets were reduced in one store.  The only set I got today was #41705  Heartlake Pizzeria for $9.50.

Stopped at the West St Paul store yesterday. They had several sets on clearance at up to 30% off, but everything including polybags is locked up. Didn’t see anything that made me want to deal with that.

I was out of town about an hour away at the farm mowing and decided to swing by the local, tiny WM.  They tend to clearance newer stuff out 6 months ahead of other stores.  They were clearing off their normal spring shelve to make room for clearance toys.  They said they'd lower the clearance in a week or two. (I doubt that).  But they had a carts of NEW Lego to be put out....new Jurassic World, Vespa, Starry Night, Fender Stratocaster.

I was returning from taking my son to camp a few hours away and my family stopped at Walmart in Bowling Green, Missouri. I've had pretty good luck with Lego clearance at this store, and this time proved to be another successful trip. I picked up the #75341 UCS Landspeeder for $168. They had a few of them, too.

I visited my parents over the 4th and it is about 500 miles from where I live (where there is rarely any clearance).

They had multiple sets on clearance prices, all about 30-40% off and some 50%. I was shocked. Unfortunately I didn't need most of the sets, or really any of them technically. I Bought a few duplicates at the price to build up some piece supply.

I did see that UCS Landspeeder, and I almost pulled the trigger being $70 off, but I don't care about the set. And while I could sit on it and resell it later, that is always a hassle too. So I left it. Maybe someone else will actually enjoy building it with that discount. I can spend $170 on a lot of other things I actually want. (I guess with that mindset is likely why I'm not rich lol)

@Sethro3 I went through the same thing with the clearance stuff in Walmart & Target recently.  Tried to weigh which sets had pieces in that I wanted or wanted more of and ended up being good deals for the package vs. buying the individual parts on PAB if available.  There's a lot of sets on my wishlist but many are ones that I would grab at 50% off or more but otherwise rather spend that money on something else.  There were a few sets I went ahead & grabbed a second copy of like the Friends one with the Giraffe because the cost to buy just a Giraffe & Zebra was only $10 less than I paid for the whole set.  Sadly missed out on getting a second copy of the Creator 3 in 1 Viking Ship at a discount but if I find one I'll probably grab it.  Did get a 3rd HP Trunk on sale for the parts as well as a few other sets that were low priority until the markdowns.  Passed on a second copy of the City Farm because I did buy a bunch of the Animals off PAB.  I did also grab a second City Farmers Market Van off Amazon the other day because I wanted more of some of the parts & refused to pay the $5+ they were asking on PAB for the Corn pieces before they stopped selling them.
I get the whole not wanting to buy sets to eventually sell in the future.  Not worth the hassle to me to go down that rabbit hole.  I already have collections of other stuff that no longer interest me that I'm struggling with how to try to get rid of without just giving it away.

I have noticed I have been more selective in getting clearance items at Walmart, same with Target. The prices are nice, but after looking around I realized I have far too much LEGO at this point. I got a couple of those noodle shop creator sets as I wanted that set.

I've been getting 'selective' also over the last couple of years.  Since the price increases.  I have a couple places near me that have many sets I'd love to have(Landspeeder) but then I look at Ebay prices....and realize if I really wanted the set, I could get it anytime for 20-30% off.  There's no need to spend like crazy at the moment.
