Is there a website that lists which pieces in the boxed set are extra bricks?

Every set I've ever gotten that was 100 or more pieces always has a few bricks that are unused. I assume that the inventory page (at teh back of the build guide) is listing every brick in teh set including the ones that are extras. If that's incorrect let me know. Is there any website that tells you which pieces in teh set are teh extras?

The extras are not included in the official inventory.
Bricklink's inventories do show the extras.

But do they show them separately  in some like how they do the Unique parts so you know which ones are the extras?

@Bubba Yes, if you check the set inventory, it shows "Regular parts", grouped by color, then "Minifigures", then "Extras". So, for example, it would list six 1x1 plates in white under "Regular parts", then one 1x1 plate in white under "Extras".

I just figured out why I didn't see them. Using 41-95 as an example, I was viewing the parts view this link:https://brickset.com/inventories/4195-1

    instead of this one: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=4195-1#T=I

Just an FYI - this isn’t off topic since it’s about Lego. :)

True but there's no just GENERAL section or OTEHR and this didn't feel like it fit anywhere else

    Well, there's "Everything Else".
FWIW I don't get bothered by people posting threads in the "wrong" place or going a little off topic... this forum is a place for discussions about LEGO. Discussions, not rigidly defined lectures.
We do need some rules and guidelines, but they should allow some "stretch" or "flex".

...Perhaps I should have put this in "Unpopular Opinions"... ;)

I’m not really that bothered (especially in Off Topic), but if someone is new I like to give a nudge in the right direction :)

I've moved the thread to "Everything else LEGO". No biggie, and I'm glad you got the info you needed.

Where exactly is this EVERYTHING ELSE section because when I look on teh right side of the forums page I don't see that section. Even if I go to ALL GATEGORIES there is no EVERYTHING ELSE section.

    It's under the 'General' heading.

You’ve just made me realize that I never use that list of links on the right side, and now that I’ve tried it, it does seem like things are missing (including anything called “General”). I just scroll through the sections you see after clicking “Home” at the top or bottom of pretty much any page.
BTW, I’m using Safari on an iPad.

Thanks thats very useful because https://forum.brickset.com/categories and https://forum.brickset.com definitely do not show the same number of categories.

You only get 6 minutes to edit your posts or replies.  If you click on your post a little tool icon shows in the upper right & a box pops up that says how much time you have left to edit.  Click on that box & you can then edit very quickly before time runs out.

I just click on DISCUSSIONS so I can see what topics have new comments on that I've not read yet! And yes I do, apparently, read everything!

OK. Seems kind of very short time limit

It does, but it’s not that rare that someone else posts either while I’m composing a comment, or within a few minutes after, so I assume it’s to limit confusion.
I think this is the only forum I use that has an edit timer. If they allow edits, they typically allow it any time.

Most of the forums I visit allow edits until someone responds to the post and then the Edit icon disappears to avoid future confusion.
