Picked up the Speed Champions Mopar duo ( #76904 ) today for $20. I loved this 1970 Challenger T/A when it was released a few years ago, but I couldn’t pony up $50 for the pair, since I don’t care about the dragster at all.

^ I guess I'm not the only one that assumed the brown space figure was relegated to septic maintainence and removal.  :))  I plan on building a spaceship/sucker truck and a couple of space porta-potties when I have the time to get to it.

More sets have revealed themselves. Getting close to the end, at the current rate I'm going (i.e. all my free time) I should be done by next weekend- this was a huge undertaking & took 1 month+ even with a few long weekends in there.

@evancelt, which lights are you using for the lanterns on the front of that building?

@evancelt, which lights are you using for the lanterns on the front of that building?

They look like a lantern piece with a transparent yellow 1x1brick inside.

Sorry, I meant the actual light element inside of it as, from the earlier videos, they flicker.

I found them on AliExpress - they are 1x1 trans studs (official LEGO ones) that have an LED shoved inside of them and are connected to a male USB plug on the other end. I then plug that into an LED light strip (think those ones people put behind their TVs) controller so I can switch between different flashing/pulsing/flicker modes.

I think each light is $2 with free shipping, and the controller is ~$1.50

I've seen those on Aliexpress before. Might need to revisit them. Any chance you have a link to the ones you purchased?

#6085 Black Monarch's Castle. IMHO, the best Lego castle. The string is not original.

Twelve minifigures! Only the Yellow Castle, #375 #6075 had more. (#10305 is an Icons set, not Castle, so it doesn't count. Fight me!)

I always wanted this castle when I was a kid, but I couldn't afford it.

Now that I'm an adult and it's been retired for 30 years, I still can't afford it.

@Bumblepants I'm not sure where the instructions for #6077 are hiding, so I'm building 1995's Royal Knights. Emilie the cat is supervising, and making sure there's plenty of cat hair available.

@evancelt Really appreciate you sharing the build from the start.  For me at least, I haven’t done much MOCing and have ideas find it hard to get the starting steps worked out and the layers of detail you are able to add throughout are great to see and learn from.

Seeing a bit how you organize parts is good also.

@evancelt Yes I too really appreciate seeing how your builds progress. I'm trying to advance from plain flat plate bases to something more natural and organic and seeing the in between steps really helps.

Thanks! The quickness just comes from practice - doing it a bunch makes it easier to expect how it will turn out

Just finished building my Swing Ship Ride GWP from 2021 #6373621.  It's missing the blue tile that says "LEG GODT 2021".  Sent a request to Lego for a replacement tile so it should interesting to see if they still have any available or what they will offer for a replacement.  Nothing even comes up for that set number on the website or any of the alternate set numbers I could find.

    After much Bricklink struggle...

Sorry for not many other pics of the build... I'm just really focused on enjoying the build on this one. Due to the brittle brown issues, I will likely never dismantle or rebuild this ship ever again.
I ended last night being about 3/4 of the way through I'd estimate. I will certainly finish it up today after work.
Good news on the brittle brown front - other than the issues with the hull pieces, so far I haven't had a single other piece break or crack that I've heard. It truly is a beautiful ship! I've started clearing off some shelf space for it, it definitely takes up a commanding footprint!

Seeing the problems with brittle brown in your used Imperial Flagship makes me happy I didn't pull the trigger on buying one when I could have, instead I waited and got Barracuda Bay .... Hopefully that one won't have the same brittle brown problems in the long run. I built it twice but it's been in storage for a couple of years.

I think PoBB should be safe from the issue - it came out after TLG purportedly fixed the issue. That set is truly a masterclass of design! I hope to be able to rebuild and enjoy it many times over the years.

Would you believe it was autocorrect?
When you type in 2 (or even more) languages on the same phone, you'd be surprised to see what autocorrect thinks is right or wrong.
It is my mistake to not proof reading everything, all the time, that I admit.
