The lot also contained bags 2-4 and 6-8 of #75318 The Child, a #75892 McLaren Senna missing one part, and some badly beaten and chewed hunks of Star Wars sets. For a bulk lot weighing only six pounds, it’s very random.
I'm super excited for the return of the theme, even if it is just a receding hairline Frodo at this time.
I also bought #76917. This is by far my favorite movie car of all time. 2 Fast 2 Furious had a massive impact on my 13 year old brain when it came out. I'm very happy to have it in Lego form.
I'll buy the new Star Wars stuff I want at some other time.
She said I still need an extra baby - apparently a squad of babies is 5 strong.
I still haven't opened all of my 2019 City Space sets either, but I really liked both that series of these as well as this series. One of these days I'll open them all up and set up a really fun space/moon base!
$67.99, but I used $5 of rewards points- I'm not even sure what % off their rewards program offers, but all they need is your phone number, so why not.
I was glad to find it (there are four more on the shelf, if you "need" one)- none at Lego store at MOA, none at Target or Walmart, a Barnes & Noble couldn't find the one their computer said they had- but the employee was very helpful in trying to find it.
Started at Barnes & Noble. It was later in the evening, but the store was quiet. This was my first time to this particular store, so I wasn't sure where they might have them. Sure enough, they were in a box at the central help desk. There were two workers and two customers chatting it up, so I lingered and looked at other sets for a bit. Once the finally left, I started to walk over, only to hear over the intercom that the store was about to close. I figured I needed more than 5ish minutes, so decided to go elsewhere.
Stopped briefly at Khols, but no luck.
Finally, went to Scheels. I think I only ever saw a single box worth of Series 23 figs be put out, so I wasn't sure of my odds. Thankfully, they had between 4 to 5 boxes worth of bags hanging on pegs near their LEGO. I was really only after the Brown Spaceman/Baby, Paperboy, Conservationist, Carrot Guy, and T-Rex. On the first row, the first bag I picked ended up being the Brown Spaceman. The second bag was the Paperboy. The third bag was the Conservationist. The Carrot Guy and T-Rex ended up taking a few more bags, but I had everything I wanted within the first line of bags. (Figured I'd leave the Orcs and Falconers to everyone else!)
Lastly, at midnight EST, I logged on and snagged the Disney 100th Anniversary BHz, the LOTR Brickheads, and the Tusken Raider.
Busy LEGO day for me to be sure!
