Here is a picture with the lights on:
Looking forward to expanding my trolly line with the old gray track pieces. I plan to more fully encorporate it into the street/sidewalk. Thankfully, I had a few parts to play around with this year.
@Switchfoot55 so the blue building on the right is a customization of #10229 Winter Village Cottage?
it is indeed a taxi, it was a gift from my Secret Santa last year.
super layout Lase!
The roof comes of for easy access to play and put lights in the tower etc.
Hope you like!
So good to see you back on your game (or at least a bit (a big bit, as this church testifies!)) :)
@snowhitie, is that your own design? It's absolutely fantastic! This is the size I'll be looking to aim for once I finally get around to starting my own Church MOC. I really love the small details!
Yup, it's my own design. Been meaning to make a church for ages as well and thought, this is the year :) It was a bit of a hit and miss to find the size, you want to go big enough so you can detail, but not that big that you can't lift it and have enough bricks. I made sure I had a strong roof and then tried to balance it from there.
I first made the main walls with just bricks/big windows, then started fiddling with the details to try and get it more of an architectural thing. Getting the glass in lead windows on the side was the biggest challenge, especially since I was just using what I had lying around and I didn't have as much 1x1 straight translucent plates (and I used them for the main building).
I wanted to be able to remove the roof to add the details since my son asked to be able to play with it. And I'm glad to have done it. I actually made the floor outside of the building and then slided it in afterwards (removed the brown beams to do that. I then put the chairs and the big things in while it was on the inside of the building. I've got some progress pictures, shoot me a PM if you fancy them. Good luck with your project!
@eMJeeNL thank you that's very nice thing to say. First big MOC for a long time and it's done me the world of good to get it finished this Christmas. I'll be doing something else in the new year for sure.
Fantastic job, Lois! I love what you've been able to put together thus far. I think filling out a village with minifigs is among my favorite things in a Winter Village. Always nice to find little hidden things to sneak in, too.
Can't wait to see it develop!
I agree that populating the village is so much fun.
That looks amazing!
I also had the thought of using some of the other winter figs from this last CMF series as "photo-op" mascots of sorts. I'll have them around the square posing with people and having pictures taken.
With the scale of the new 3 in 1 tree, I might need to pull the trigger on it after all. I think it looks really good. And, quite the stack of presents you have there!!!
I have Pritchett’s volume one so am looking now - might have to mode a bit I don’t think I have gold elephant trunks. Thanks @eMJeeNL for the recommendation!
I want to wish everyone in the LEGO community a happy and healthy Christmas.
Ole kirk and his familiy is ready for the christmas days with a traditional dinner.
I hope there might be a rattling present under the Christmas tree :)
I am very curious about what's under your Christmas tree?
In my case there is a Pick a Brick package and a book called the secret life of the LEGO brick under the tree.
Already anxious for next year when I'll have everything back together under one roof!
only really the track is still out is that I was considering building the Disney Train Station soon.

I definitely like that submission, Marshallmario! I've long wanted a farm of some sorts in my village (or rather, on the outskirts as you mentioned).
