Back - Not sure for how long

Hi all.  I've been gone for a little over 5 years.  Just fell out of the hobby with my son aging out temporarily.  I am sure once he has some time he'll be back into it.

Not sure with all of the price craziness going on if I'll stick around, just because this hobby is so expensive.  Also wondering what some of the best sets I've missed out on over these years.

Looking to display some of my prior year sets in my basement.   Thinking about Besta from Ikea.

Welcome back!  Someone will chime in soon of display options, I haven’t gotten to display options yet but use kallax with storage bins for Lego parts.

Almost pulled the trigger on The Razor Crest when it came out....loved the Mandalorian.  No longer a big fan of Disney.  That Dieselnaut looks awesome.  Thanks for the idea.

@Rainstorm26 Monkie Kid is based on old Chinese stories, The Monkey King, and Journey to the West. Pretty much everything I know came from others on this forum, so maybe someone will chime in.

Somehow I forgot to mention #10497 Galaxy Explorer! It's still available. You might be old enough to remember the original #497 #928 Galaxy Explorer.

My first memorable sets were #565 and #775.  Never had Galaxy explorer but loved the space sets.

I never got #565, but it sure looked great. I bought #775 with birthday money in 1979 (I was 10).

I just read the notice that the forum will be shutting down in November 2023.  That is sad.  I would like to know some alternative discussion groups.  I don't currently have a FB account, but could always get one if it comes to that.
