Far too much lego. Also, not enough lego. :) :) :)

GWP's, the VIP Pirate and Dragon Rides...
Several promo codes, that can't be used until later orders.

COME on TLG allow 3 or 5 promo codes with each order.....

Well, apparently I'm not buying another Galaxy Explorer right now.

    #31130 Sunken Treasure Mission
saw it for the first time while looking for deals at Target and was immediately interested - cute/fun looking, good deal for the piececount even considering a bunch of small parts and 2 basic minifigures
helped that it was 20% off

Mine isn't cancelled yet but it seems to be hung up somewhere and I am anticipating cancellation sooner or later.

Placed an order on Pick-a-Brick that will double the height of the loop coaster elevator and I have not even cracked the seals to it yet.  Also added a storage head to get the fleece blankie.  There's another central part I could use in the Earth Blue color I found for my MOC, but I should wait for my other orders to come in first in order to figure out how many parts left I have to order.

I recently grabbed #10303 Loop Coaster during the VIP weekend, with the £70 off voucher and snagged the two GWPs as well. Which was nice.
More recently, the other half asked what Lego I would like for Xmas (She's learning... No repeat of a #75177 First Order Heavy Scout Walker this year! ;-) ), so I ordered #21058 The Great Pyramid of Giza and also redeemed the "TRU" Dragon Ride set at the same time.

Interestingly, the one I was expecting was #6427894 Dragon Adventure Ride, as that one was the one displayed in the VIP offer, however, #6432433 Dragon Adventure Ride turned up instead!
Now, I'm not complaining, as the one that arrived has a minifig with helm, so slightly more useful overall. I can't see what torso it comes with though, without opening it, as there is no inventory listed yet and it is difficult to see from the database pic. Does anyone know what it is? I don't think it's exactly the same as #6427894.

Ordered the fleece blanket, Pirate Ship Adventure Ride, Santa's Workshop, VIP add-on kit, and train and should get the 1989 Batwing for free with my order. Also added Defense of Hoth and Snowtrooper Battle Pack so there was something shipping immediately and to have both sides of the battle that's going to pop up in my winter village.

The #6748 Boulder Cliff Canyon set I bought off eBay arrived today. It's missing a few pieces (which I knew about from the listing) which I've already placed Bricklink orders for, but was otherwise in great condition.
With that, I'm down to only one more set to go to complete the Western theme! Hopefully I'll land on a good listing for that last set ( #6755 ) soon!

    @pxchris what theme is next?

Are you going to display the western sets at a show like you did with the pirates?

@pxchris, I envy your theme collections! Perhaps one day I'll embark on a similar journey with a particular theme.

If you haven't already seen the channel, YouTuber Brickcrafts has an awesome "Wild West" themed layout. It incorporates a lot of MOCs that he's done, but includes some of the standard sets as well from the Western Theme. He has plans to expand it in the future now that he's acquired a new space to display. (His overall layout is unbelievably impressive)

    Congrats on the final set!

    Yes!
I'm pretty certain I'll do a display of them at the upcoming Bricks Cascade in Portland, Oregon this next May.
I'm already thinking a little bit about how I might want to organize and set up the display.

As for what's next... I think I need to take a little bit of a break on classic themes collecting since Lord of the Rings is looking to require a pretty big investment this next year.
However, I do have a few themes that I've been considering for next (for my own sanity, and for the sake of my marriage/bank account, I need to really limit myself to only one theme at a time for the most part - I can get a bit hyper-focused in my collecting). Adventurers Desert and Castle Dragon Knights are two I've been thinking about a lot. I also might go a completely different direction and finish out one of the other Classic Space themes that are near and dear to me, M-Tron or Space Police I. I have at least a 1-2 set start on each of those.

Thank you buddy! It is sometimes a path of madness. I was bitten with the collectors bug at a young age though, so something I'm well accustomed to.

I don't believe that I've seen that YouTube channel, I will check them out. Thank you very much for the recommendation!

I was sorting the parts from Vidiyo beatboxes into my collection and the compulsive collecting bug bit me, so I placed a few BrickLink orders to complete my collection of BeatBit tiles. Thankfully they’re cheap, and I was able to knock a few other parts off of my wanted lists at the same time.

I did the same a while ago, every time I did a BL order I checked my beatbit tiles wanted list against the stores inventory. Slowly but surely I managed to complete the collection - not sure why as I don't plan to display them but I have the completionist bug...

Lego on credit, yikes. I don't even buy real cars without having all the money for down payment.
I only had credit for my house. Different mindsets, I guess.

I'm hoping he is paying the card balance off at the end of the period, but yeah, I definitely wouldn't be paying any interest on Lego purchases!

I do all my LEGO purchases on the credit card, and pay it off as soon as they go through.  I haven't made a TON of money back doing it... but enough to buy a decent chunk for sure.  I would have been in trouble if I didn't pay it off right away though!

Grabbed a decently priced Cull Obsidian bigfig, somewhat as an addon to #76218 , and somewhat as a "would be nice to have at least one bigfig before they're gone", seeing as LEGO is making fewer and fewer of them, with none this year.
Okay, NOW I'm done with buying LEGO this year. I think...

This is how I do it. I just used points earned to purchase a T2 camper van on Amazon. As long as you are responsible enough to pay the balance in full each month and don’t outspend your abilities to repay, credit cards are a good tool to use to build your credit and also earn rewards for your purchases.

We don't have that over here, the "build your credit thing". You just provide income statements and they see if you'd be able to pay back or not when wanting to take a credit. For me this makes more sense as I was able to get a house credit when I was 24 at a pretty decent rate, when I was independent and on my own money for barely 2 years. If I'd have to wait for xx years to build my credit to be able to get a house I'd lose some good deals in the meantime.

I found a new case of cmf at Wal*Mart. I found six knights in the middle bottom section.

They are I'm my stocking waiting to be discovered Christmas morning.

And, um...How do you know that these are 100% knights? Feel, or another way?

^ Expensive, but worth it. You just have to be *really* careful around shopping carts, you don't want to end up in someone else's viral video.

The shield and visor are easy to feel for.

I found quite a handful via feel method. It is easy for the knight thankfully. Shield is easy, visor, even the horse head is easy once you feel enough of them. And outside of the candy cane or broom (both of which have a different shape at one end), it is the only rod piece and there are two of them so that helps narrow it down too. I would quickly feel and once I found the rod I'd toss them in my cart. No wrong answers yet.

Found #75939 Dr Wu’s Lab sitting on a shelf in the Lego Friends section of my local Target. I built it tonight to insure that it wasn’t missing any pieces. The set looks great, but where did it come from?

Picked up Mia's Wildlife Rescue in Target this evening.  Also found 4 of the series 24 CMF's.  I took 3 of them because the fourth one was the referee which I really don't want.  Not sure about the other 3 since I haven't opened them yet but I think one is the Carrot Suit one and maybe the Conservationist with the Koala

A returned gift, maybe? I really like when they're still a scrap of wrapping paper taped to the box!

My CMF bag feeling is a bit rusty.  I ended up with the Referee, Potter & Newspaper Kid.  Not the Carrot or Conservationist that I thought.  Hope the one I passed on that I had thought was the Referee wasn't actually the Spaceman & Baby.  At least it's early days before the official release so I expect I will get all the ones I want eventually.  The Newspaper Kid is really great and the Potter is decent.  Now I need to make sure I don't end up with duplicates of the Referee.

With the latest haul, (new purchases today and some prizes from some contests) I passed the 400 sets mark. Although I struggled not to achieve this by selling older sets as much as I was buying new ones. I average 599.25pieces per set, for a total of just over 254k pieces, plus the additional 30-40k of bulk pieces that I use for Mocs, takes me close to 300k pieces. Pretty scary number (although I'm sure many people here have quite a lot more)

Plus, #75325 is 20% off on Amazon, so I took advantage of that with some recently acquired gift cards :)
