I was able to make it out and buy the polys for everyone who reached out. It was a lot of fun picking bags off the display and filling my basket! The clerk who checked me out did a double take when he kept pulling bags out to scan.

Assuming the shipping goes smoothly enough, I'd be more than happy to do this again for others!

I'll send out confirmation messages tomorrow morning for everyone I bought for to confirm what I was able to get.

Curious if this will deplete their stock or if they'll reload?

Which Scheels store did you purchase these at?

These were from the Billings store.

That's it, a schojourn to Scheels is officially on my list.  Nice haul @Switchfoot55 for sure!  Beautiful part of the country, too!  Awe-inspiring landscape.

My Holiday Train from @Switchfoot55 came today! He's a joy to work with. 10 billion stars out of 5.(Give or take something like 2 for rounding. I'm no mathmetician.

Am I late to the party on #30510? Did it have its US run and gone, or is it still out there at Target or Walmart?
  • Russell844Russell844 Member Posts: 2,483
Never saw it at Target or Walmart. Saw it at the Discovery Center back in June.

Only place I've found it is Scheels.  Haven't seen it at Target or Walmart near me.

Finally found #30435 Hogwarts Castle and #30590 Farm & Scarecrow at my local Target tonight.  I already had them but wanted a few more of both so was happy to find them there.  No other new ones like the 90 Years of Cars & the Holiday Train.  I expect they are holding off putting out the train until they switch the seasonal section from Halloween to Christmas.

@karrit can I ask what part of the US you found these?  Besides Scheels, this is the only other retailer where #30590 has been spotted that I know of.

No sign of #30590 at my local Target. Hopefully they show up in the next few weeks.

I wish I had a LDC nearby.  No Blain’s Farm and Fleet here either.

I guess sometimes they pop up where you'd least expect. Maybe I should make a run to Best Buy in my new town and see if they have any random LEGO taking up shelf space.

I used to do that at Game Stop. A couple of times me and a friend would go in and find random polys that were game GWPs hanging on a wall.

Is anyone seeing the Harry Potter poly show up on the East Coast yet, specifically in the Newer of England states?
  • rd1899rd1899 Member Posts: 211
My local Meijer has some more polys now in stock (presumably online only, until the seasonal "Stocking Stuffer" section gets set up in a week or so).

My local small Scheels had the new #30435 Hogwarts, plenty of the 90th Anniversary Cars and the #30433 Technic @$4.99ea, which I hadn't seen.  They had plenty of the older ones also...some City, Speed Champions, Disney, and Jurassic World.

Where are people finding them at their Targets??  My 2 local Targets have quit carrying polys and minifigure bags at the checkouts for quite some time.  Minifigures are on a rack at an end of a toy aisle and polys sometimes too.  The last minifigures were Series 19 and polys I only found a Mario Bros. and Disney Cinderella? on clearance shelves for half off.

You have to look everywhere in Toys- I've seen them at the ends of aisles of non-LEGO toys. I don't understand why they would put some LEGO away from the LEGO section.
Of course, if I ever understand corporate "thinking", I'll probably give myself a lobotomy.
  • pxchrispxchris Member Posts: 2,438
My Target had the polys on a rack at the end of the LEGO isle.
However, I have not seen any CMF packs at this store for quite a while, maybe the Muppets was the last series I saw there.
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 1,070
The Targets I go to are a mixed bag of where to find them.  In the past I've found some in the seasonal area where they put candy, stocking stuffers & small gift items depending on the season.  One store had a ton of different ones in this area around Easter on an end cap.  Two of the stores have hanging racks at the end of some aisles in the toy department not always in the Lego aisles that they place polybags & sometimes minifigs in.  One store has a round multi-level basket that they put both polybags & minifigs in recently which is shoved against a pillar at the back of the toy dept near the Lego aisle.  In the past they've also just piled them on a shelf in the lego aisle or on an end cap shelf.  One of my stores also has a Disney Store section that I usually find Princess, Marvel & Starwars themed polybags in a round multi-level level display table along with other small Disney blind bag items and various other small items.

Typically I find them more often than naught in the seasonal section. The Targets by me also tend to have polys from a year prior on their sprues as well.

I recently found the Harry Potter #30435 City #30590 and Yoshi #30509 at the check lane area.

As I mentioned (possibly mistakenly) in the Target deals thread, I was able to get 10 of the HP polys the other day.  I did see some other new ones out, but I wasn't after those.

Well, hopefully I'm not speaking out of turn, but I know @jmeninno wanted 10 of that HP poly to have enough sets to do each of the micro builds at once, plus a couple of extra.

As for other polys/people, no idea. One to open, one to save, one to sell, 17 to look at?

Just a question....maybe for the sake of my own sanity...whatever's left of it....why do people do with their polys?  I understand making Mocs or cities, stuff like that...but as mentioned above...what do you do with 10?  I ask this because, I have 70gallon tubs full of polys....some 10-20 of each...and now I'm wondering...what the heck was I doing this for?  Now I buy 2-5 a year but just for unique parts inside.
I use polys as sources of parts, a lot. It's often cheaper to get a bunch of polys with a part/s I need, then it is to get that part from LEGO/BL.

Like @Switchfoot55 said about @jmeninno I also got 10 of the Hogwarts polybag so I could build all the pictured versions.   I bought about 30 or so of the Hermione one for the chocolate frog tiles because I was able to choose the ones I needed to complete my collection and get doubles and more of most of them to use in the two dorm room GWP's I have and the display from the Icons set as well as some to hang on walls for pictures in some of my other sets.  Also I wanted multiples of the owl. Likewise the previous Harry one I bought a bunch for the owl & some other parts and because I got some really cheap on clearance in Walmart.  Years ago I got a bunch of the Harry Potter one with the Potions display and the Olaf one on clearance in Target. The holiday ones I always get at least 2 or 3 because they are festive and can be easily modified with different colors of the common elements.  Others that I buy multiples of it's because of unique, licensed parts like Bruni & Pascal in the Disney ones that I know can't be bought without price gouging.  Most of the regular ones I only get one of unless they look like a good parts pack or they are free as GWP's.

@scotty12 I like to use the parts but I also use them at workshops for breaks, fidgeting and to spur discussion.  I also get an extra of interesting ones so I have some to give - same with collectible minifigs.
