I'd pay $80 just for those baseplates! Great score!

It's been a slow week for Lego Star Wars but I still made a couple of other impulse purchases today.

I picked up #31125 Fantasy Forest Creatures from Tesco, reduced from £13 to £8 something. I like the animals, but I'm not too keen on the colours, but I'll likely part it out anyway

I also picked up #11021 90 years of play reduced from £45 to £30 from Smyth's. I'll probably build everything once before parting it out, though my Lego boxes are starting to get a little bit too full and I'm going to start needing drawers very shortly, particularly as I'm currently on my 86th set this year...

a ton of blue and gray goodness
Reviewing the pictures closer and cross-referencing unique parts, I'm pretty sure the lot contains at least:
    #497 Galaxy Explorer
    #6950 Mobile Rocket Transport
    #6952 Solar Power Transporter
    #6970 Beta I Command Base

The seller has already shipped, so it will be here at the end of the week and I'll start parsing through it. Wee!

We’re off to a good start, I have five crater plates, four landing plates (one is definitely the one for #497 ) and three T plates. The parts are used but not abused. Next to sort through everything to remove junk, then I’ll start building.

Bought #21328 from Target. 5% off with my RedCard plus received the $10 gift card promo for spending more than $50 on Lego. Wanted to grab it before it retires in a few months.

I’ll be using that $10 on more Lego!

I just picked up #11015 Around the World from Argos for £30, down from £45 to build once then part out into my collection.

I'm also tempted by #11020, but my wife is out shopping with me, and I'm already getting it in the neck for one set, so two today will be too much LOL.

Just bought a couple sealed copies of D-O on BL.  Never even watched TRoS in its entirety until Sunday night killing time in a hotel room with nothing better to do.  This little guy - along with Babu Frik - provided some much needed comic relief.  A little reward for getting through that film ;)

I managed to snag a new copy of #75050 B-Wing Starfighter in a sealed, albeit damaged box for the price of a used set, and given as I only really care about the ship and the pilot, I'm considering it a win.

The strangest part is that my bid sat uncontested for the best part of a week, and I was expecting to get sniped in the last 10 seconds, but the price remained the same, and now it's on its way.

That leaves me with just the two more original trilogy vehicles and a Hoth Leia to get out of the way before moving onto other franchises on my to do list, one of which will take some time to pick up and not come cheap.

Honestly, that's why my LEGO collection looks like right now. I think I'm within 3 months of my house being built and can start busting sets out to build!

I had a £140 Amazon gift card as a promotion for joining an ISP and with some things on my wanted list, the discount was much better than waiting for the upcoming Double points / GWP has to offer, so I knocked a sizeable chunk off my to do list.

It's mostly Duplo for our future baby and visitor's children, but I still spent the lion's share on myself hehe.

#10913 Duplo Brick Box - a few more bricks for the collection and a place to store the Duplo vehicles.
    #10950 Duplo Tractor
    #10967 Duplo Police Motorcycle
    #10969 Duplo Fire Engine
They will complement and add some variety to my existing Duplo construction vehicles nicely.

And last, but by no means least #31132 Creator 3in1 Viking Ship. I have been waiting for the opportune moment to pick this up ever since I went to the Lego store in Cardiff and it was out of stock on launch day (the store never took delivery of this and another set...) I suppose you can't beat a reduction from £105 to £83 to essentially free, so good things do indeed come to those who wait.

All in all, I only had to pay £7.95 out of my own pocket for sets that I was eventually going to buy anyway. Result!

Just had my #10308 Holiday Main Street, #40566 Ray the Castaway, and #40513 Spooky VIP Add On Pack arrive!

Can't decide if I'm going to open the WV set and build it now so I can figure out what pieces are needed to expand the depth or if I'll just build the buildings digitally and then figure it out that way. Likely the later so I can save the WV build for the holidays.

Glad to have these all in hand!

I'm way too lazy to MOC-ify sets like you're going to do, but if I were going to do it, I would probably build them stock this year and then expand next year so you've got the experience of building them as the designers intended and will have some time to get to know the sets and how they will best fit in your village.

Picked up #10305 today at my local LEGO store. They had a shelf full of them. Used $130 in VIP rewards to take the sting out of the price.

Well, considering I will likely not get the chance to fully set up my village this year, perhaps I'll just run with the standard build for now and can play around with the layout later. I might have some other ideas come to mind in doing it that way.

    ...plus 2x VIP, of course.
I'm very picky when it comes to Technic stuff, but every once in a while a set comes along that I'm certain I'll pickup from this category - just a question of when.  Now was a pretty good time!

I built the Airbus two weeks ago. Very fun set! And I got it for $10 less than RRP from a local hobby store.
Edit: I might never take it apart: it's so complex, I'd need to go backwards through the instructions!

This might end up in the Brag thread, we’ll see. I just ordered a #75252 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer for $100. He listed it simply as “broken down star destroyer”. Who knows how much of it is there, there is only one picture.

I asked him to send me proof that the parts say Lego, and he did. The instructions are in the picture and look legit.

Low seller feedback but all positive, he also has some Pokemon cards for sale so I took the gamble.

Edit: he just wrote and asked if I want the original box as it’s a little beat up. I said sure if you can. I don’t think a scammer will be this attentive for $100, I think he just doesn’t know its value.

Edit 2: he just printed the shipping label and eBay sent me tracking info. It will be hard to contain myself if anything resembling a legit UCS ISD arrives next week.

Uh oh, they printed a Media Mail label, probably because it was the cheapest option. They’re going to get a shock when they drop off the package at the PO and it requires more postage. Still not holding my breath yet.

With nearly the last of my birthday fun money I snagged #75335 BD-1 at Costco yesterday for $80. I figured 25% off RRP was more than worth it. Considering I was planning on buying it at full price in the coming months, it was an easy snag while out shopping for groceries.

Plus, I can keep growing my large scale droid collection.

There are quite a few Stuntz set on sale on Amazon, so recently I added one of the small bikers to an order to reach free shipping...  5 € for shipping or 5 € for a Lego set with free shipping, the choice was obvious.   Too bad that now the rest of the sets are more expensive, or out of stock!

Just back from a relaxing week away down in Yorkshire and have come back with a random selection of purchases.

#76208 Goat Boat looked like a good deal at £43 in Smyths, picked up the Ninjago mag to sample the new paper bag, which could be used for CMFs but probably wouldn’t cope with heavy fondling, also the Minecraft mag as it had two figs and I have nothing else in the theme,  plus a couple of S23 CMFs - spare Robot and Dragon, just because.

Decided to pull the trigger on a few BL carts and a PaB order I've been compiling. First time ordering through the new parts system directly from LEGO. They sure do make it tempting to get over those service fee levels for Best Sellers and Standard Bricks. Then you might as well add some more for free shipping too!

The order will complete a couple of small builds for my Winter Village as well as a MOC of the WV Cottage. It should also finish off a few sets I got in a bulk lot.

I feel pretty good about this order and that I've trimmed any fat off of costs. I love knowing that you've worked down the best assortment of parts to cost ratio. Of course, there are a billion other parts I'd love to order, so it's never ending. But in total, the three orders are about 600ish pieces, give or take.

...and got a reply back from one of the BL sellers that they were short one of the parts on my order. Just so happens to be the one stickered tile that caused me to start putting a cart together. I likely would have gone elsewhere if they hadn't of had this. Figures.

The seller has since replied that it might be available still, but in a different storage location? They're going to check and get back to me. Fingers crossed!
