...So as not to stray too far, my Status is idle for the moment.  However, I'm currently waiting on a couple deliveries of non-LEGO items that could zhuzh up the backgrounds in my photos.

Trying to find the "trader feedback" system here to give @Switchfoot55 a well deserved Positive on finding all these for the Ill-Tempered Old Ones here.

The "Marketplace Feedback for Buyers" thread in the Marketplace section is usually used by traders to give feedback.

Already seeing the Knight from the new CMF going for 250% of RRP... can't wait to see what happens when they move from bags to boxes...

Picked up a used Carousel (10257) to go with my Ferris Wheel and Rollercoaster. The seller disassembled it partially to put it into the mail, and I realised that I'm going to have to spend time taking everything apart and sorting the pieces before I can actually get to building. Time to buy some containers!

@bpk2300 I love those slides!  Can I ask where you purchased them?

@Yo_dA I bought them from the adidas website, they are on sale right plus there is a 20% off coupon code:

Bummed. My #76949 was missing one of the lime 1x2 w/hole that goes into the base of the tower, but it should be an easy replacement once I log onto Customer Service.

Since I gotta order a crapload of parts for my Uncrunched Explorer #4 anyway, I'm tempted to just eat the hit and slipstream it in with those. (What do you call something that uses the design and colors of an existing set but new decals anyway? Not a MOC, not even really sure it'd be a Semi-MOC... Lightly Customized?)

So, back behind the computer for "work" after a week in Billund.
Had a great time, in Legoland, Lego House and the Aquadome of Lalandia. I can really recommend going there - especially if you manage to go outside of Denmark&Germany's holiday period if you can. Friday we managed to do 42 turns in a ride in 4 hours with our 7 and 5-year olds :)

Sorting of the PaB I got in LH and at the Oberhausen Lego Store on the way back home to do, and build #40306 I got at LL yesterday as a detoxing agent. Nice to build a castle again.

Oh w8, what's that in the corner of the living room... it says 10305 on the box...

    ;)

Looking at the Ideas Review line-up and totally blown away.  I honestly think it's one of the best line-ups we've seen, and it's a shame that we'll likely only see maybe 1 or 2 of the sets make it through.

I am very much hoping for one of orrerys to make it through (maybe they will combine the two?) as I currently have another one on my lists of todo MOCs.  I also am totally blown away by the Great Wave submission.  That paired with the van Gogh set would make an absolutely amazing centerpiece for a LEGO art display.

Finally, I'm totally ashamed to admit that I didn't even KNOW there was a Taskmaster idea project out there.  I know it's very unlikely to make it through review due to limits to its audience, but it's definitely the set I want the most out of all of them. (Although it IS a very close race :P )

It's an interesting wave of Ideas submissions, mostly because of the amount, but also the weirdly low amount of licensed ideas.  A ton of the builds are 100% original and deserve attention.  I'm curious to see what will make it through.

So much easier identifying CMF in the privacy of my own home rather than in the middle of a shop aisle!

Now to decide if I should sell the rest as individual minifigs or as a set! Time to see what a set currently goes for…

What's the ratio of each figure? Is it just 3s across the board now?

And then the downer that the lime grill pieces for my Explorer aren't available from Bricks & Pieces OR Brickset. :( The trapdoor frame and bubbletop to make the roof being Bricklink only are annoying, but Unobtainium components are a Showstopper, and #76956 is a rather big and expensive set to part-out.

They appear in a cheap Creator set, might be a solution?

My box contained 3 full sets, I would assume that's default now? As long as there's only 12 figures in a set and each box contains 36 packets it would make sense. Eliminates chase figures too which is a relief!

Impatiently awaiting my #75337 AT-TE! Estimated delivery Wednesday. I ordered it about 3:30 this morning; info from the tracking number says label created 8:04 a.m.!

^^ I'm surprised we haven't seen a motorized walking AT-TE - either UCS or not.  It's got the low center of gravity, 6 legs - very stable for such a feat.  They figured out the AT-AT stability issues, why not this?  No demand?  Cost?
So I guess my status is: puzzled.

  • Diamondback_SixDiamondback_Six Member Posts: 491
No, but I was just trying to imagine the nightmare of linking six separate lift-and-pivots to one central motor and control. I'd probably set it up with left front/rear plus right center as one system, right front/rear and left center a second so three legs in a "triangle" are supporting and pushing forward while the other three are up and moving forward to take the next bite out of the ground.

Bit of a cross post from the S@H thread, but I was able to grab #40547 Obi Wan and Vader BHz this morning. I imagine it'll be back in stock for awhile now, but didn't want to take the chance and have to pay double (or more) in the long run.

Now the debate/race/wait for when to purchase the WV set. Last year the inventory stayed available through most of the Fall/Winter. But, go back two years to the Elf Club House and it was basically OOS from day 2 until mid-December, back in stock for a day, then out again for a couple of months.

Those winter GWP's are always appealing...but I don't want to miss out on the set when they show up!

Just an interesting note, if any of you guys use Aftership Package Tracker app, whenever somebody mentions a carrier name and a set number in the same post Aftership adds it as an inbound shipment automatically as soon as the topic reply notification pops in your email.

Was putting some BL orders in to replace some broken parts, and decided to finish out my Chocolate Frog cards and my Beat Bits.  Just have them bagged up right now, but I feel like I need to find a way to display them nicely alongside my complete set of Nexo Knight power shields.

He's from Hidden Side! Spencer, I think. I use him to stand in for Zero.

Spencer is fantastic!  Definitely one of my favorite things to come out of Hidden Side, which, in my opinion, had quite a lot to like.  And he's dirt cheap compared to other dogs on BL; you can get boatloads of him in the 20 to 40 cent range.  I have a pretty decently sized army of Spencers growing in my previously shown doggy bag :D

Honestly I'm just a giant freaking nerd that loves LEGO animals, and I collect them so that I can just have an army of them just for having around.  I will say, once I get the space, my LEGO city build out is likely to have an over-representation of animals :P

I thought Spencer looked like a really wet dog so had him in a Christmas display on the edge of a hole in an ice pond his owner had just fallen in with him.
A collection of Spencers would look great in a dog parlour as if in mid-cleaning.

Regretful.  I passed a guy yesterday lunchtime who was pulling a little trolley.  In the trolley, multiple 80's Lego sets (including a Black Seas Barracuda) and an old Scalextric.  I should have stopped him for a chat, but I just walked past open mouthed...

Well, let's see, between last night and today, I've been reading Romans, finished #76944 bought a #10497,(I wonder if Buzz,(toy, not the impostor from Lightyear) will like it, when I sneak it into his fleet, beside his 2010 ships and his two XL-15s(carefully stolen from the impostor.) Star Command needs a big fleet to protect the galaxy, you know.
