BendyBadger's Brickset BonusBall Bonanza - Bumblepants LEGO House Edition! (Drawing 08/27/2022)

SumoLegoSumoLego Member Posts: 15,229
Aloha Bricksetters!

Because it is a random Sunday in August, I have again returned to preside over another BonusBall.  This time it is at the behest of @Bumblepants and his recent excursion to the LEGO House.

Because these polybags are exclusive to the LEGO House, we're going to run two (2) raffles: one today that'll run until August 27th; and we'll run a second super-awesome bonus raffle that will start after the first drawing and conclude on September 3rd.  (I'll probably throw in a couple of mystery extras as well.)

The drawing will be run to coincide with the BonusBall the next two Saturdays.  We want as many unique posts in thread as possible, so please avoid double posts - but EVERY unique post will be counted.

Finally, I strongly urge everyone that enters to make a donation to FairyBricks.  If you happen to win the raffle, making a donation for FairyBricks would be even better.  If you don't enter the raffle, but still make a donation then you are awesome.

If you're new to the Forum, or not really familiar with what FairyBricks does, please check out their website.
https://www.fairybricks.org/

Direct Link for making donations:

Back to the normal nonsense with the drawing... the question for your consideration:

With the Forestmen Hideout, the Lion Knights' Castle and Galaxy Explorer returning, what classic set would you like Lego to remake/remaster as a set?

@SumoLego's answer:  SPACE SKULLS. #10192.  There is no other answer...

Enjoy!  And Good Luck!

Gotta be #6973.  One of my absolute favorite spaceships of all time, and also I REALLY REALLY want an Ice Planet 2002 return, it was probably my favorite space sub-theme ever.

    Thank you for hosting!

This is a tough one, and I could really sit and think and propose several, but the first one(s) that comes to mind is anything from the Ice Planets.  If I had to pick one, I'd say the station over any of the vehicles (we have enough vehicles these days), so #6983.  I missed out on the entire range as a child, but was lucky/blessed enough to score two of the original sets (in boxes!) in a local comic shop (see one of my posts, probably in the Brag thread), but I would have loved to collect the entire line.

Wow, all the answers so far are great!
I'll say #6952 Solar Power Transporter.

Best of luck to everyone! I won't enter this round since I won the last BonusBall but I can't refrain from putting forth an answer - my vote would be a remake of the amazing Eldorado Fortress #6276 to go up against the POBB!

It was a toss-up between Pirates and Forestmen for me, but in the end, #6077 won out :)

I have the Galaxy Explorer but won't be buying the castle - I sold all 3 copies of Forestmen Hideout to fund my Lego addiction! As I mentioned in the building thread I found the Galaxy Explorer rather disappointing so if I was to get another remake I'd only consider it for something special like the first technic set I built #8860 Car Chassis which remains to this day the only technic set I'd consider owning personally (yes I'm aware my owned sets list includes 3 technic sets but they were bought for the kids!

Without a doubt #75201. That thing was amazing and I'm sure it was responsible for bringing many many current AFOLs out of their dark ages.

I am a man of simple needs. With #10497 already in my grubby mitts - I'm pretty happy.

However, trying to enter into the spirit, I contemplated this question lots...
#305 or #306 Space baseplates would be welcome additions to the new GE...
but then a proper "lunar" base would be nice too #920, #6970 or #6971...
what about a "lunar" vehicle though? #6928 was/is a fantastic set - a childhood fave...
ah, but what about non-space sets, just to spice things up a bit?
So, maybe a classic big technic car #8860 or #8880 were great sets, worthy of a reimagining too...
    or perhaps here's a chance to get a goat? #7189 - although I'd actually prefer #10193 tbh...

but, after much cogitation, I think I'm going to choose #744, a random weird yellow universal building set, that for reasons I cannot fathom, I wanted as a child and for nostalgic reasons I would still like to own a good example of today... a re-worked version might be just the ticket though!

Thanks to @Bumblepants and @SumoLego - love and miss the bonusball!

    Nesquik bunny?

Seriously though, I'd love to get a monorail rerelease, so I guess I may as well say #6399. Space is awesome, sure, but I really like a terrestrial monorail!

Here for the thread more than the poly's but I'd like to see them remake perhaps #6067 guarded inn.

Lots of people have done their own remakes but always end up a bit busy.

#6986 Galactic Enforcer/Mission Commander. A great looking set that could be brought very nicely up to date like the Galaxy Explorer was! Could even have 3 updated builds for the set, one of the SP-Striker and one of the Galactic Peace Keeper.

Please disregard my answer as an entry as have some LEGO House goodies already so not looking for any more at the mo.

Saying that, I'm not really a nostalgia nut so none of the classic sets do it for me personally* as I only really had small space sets and a few basic bricks when I was younger so they hold no warm and fuzzy place for me.
The only set I actually want an updated (but at the same scale) version of, is #10212 Imperial Shuttle.
It was the one ship I never got hold of from the Kenner toys and I arrived out of my dark age two years to late for the original LEGO version so it's become a bit of a white whale for me.

    * I do love #10497 by the way but only because it's a new and modern take on what I would call a rather basic design. (One for the unpopular thread I feel).

Either #6057 Sea Serpent or #6260 Shipwreck Island. That would press the nostalgia button nicely.

Thanks for hosting, great to see BBBBBB back again. I'd love #6892 to get the remake treatment. It was one of my favourite Space sets, many a Saturday morning was spent dropping the command module off somewhere, driving around and then flying off to explore.

#4561 would be a great remake. Alas, LEGO sees no market for trains, it seems.

Ah. I missed this whilst on holiday (not bad, some nice weather, kids enjoyed it and so did the parents) but I can't not answer the quiz!

Unsurprisingly, more Space: #6990 would be perfect.
