I just noticed that I've now just had two transactions for £169.99 and £179.99 processed by Lego as a result of my call to CS. I don't think that was meant to happen.

I guess I need to check I don't end up getting charged double for these things. I wasn't expecting to be dropping £350 on Lego this morning!
  • PhoenixioPhoenixio Member Posts: 313
Are you sure it's not just a pre-authorization?  They did that to me then eventually those got dropped.  I barely noticed.  I'm actually quite angry at this method, if they end up actually charging when they ship.  I was certain I had accounted for those sets already...

I also received an out of stock email but when I check the status on the order, I see a "will ship by July 5h, 2022" so I'll just continue waiting until it ships.

My just received email said mine are all back-ordered.  All five.  I’m in Ohio, and @Russell844 & @rockethead26 are out west, so don’t know if location is a factor.
Mine said that too, but they are ALL backordered for everyone, as none have shipped yet. Mine said my modular Lego store would ship by August 2.

It was a good reminder that I needed to update my card details because I've had (yet another) new card since ordering these. I put in a quick call to CS and they were able to update their system.

By the time they actually ship all transactions will be in BitCoin via brainwaves.

The article also says instructions are out. I haven't looked at them yet, but if past BLDP sets are any indication, I expect to hear complaints about instruction errors or poor build choices any day now.
I can confirm that instructions for the Venetian Houses set are available in the Lego Instructions app. In that app, some sets only have PDF instructions (fixed images), some sets have 3D instructions (you can rotate it) and some have both. The Venetian Houses only has the 3D steps in the app.

But I just found PDF instructions. If you go to the set page at Bricklink, such as https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/designer-sets-for-adult-fans-of-lego/215680/Venetian-Houses  and then at the bottom right is a box that talks about instructions, and you click "Learn More", it talks about the app, and also provides a link to download a PDF. Yay!

Related question - does anybody know if the instructions from the 2019 ADP series are online in PDFs somewhere?
Brickset doesn't have them linked, I didn't see them anywhere after a quick search.

My round 2 sets total price got authorised on my paypal account and the order is currently ‘in warehouse’ on the LEGO website. Anyone else who got an update?
  • dspigeldspigel Member Posts: 478
I got an update saying mine will ship mid August. I’ll believe it when I see it.

    ^ I still don't have my round one set.......so, yeah I agree

But my Galaxy Explorer is "In Warehouse" so that's progress
  • wiggywiggy Member Posts: 351
A couple of charges added to my credit card today, so yes they must be on the way soon.
  • wardmwardm Member Posts: 887
Maybe the Europe ones will be shipped sooner? I usually only get charged by LEGO a day or max two before they ship…
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,268
My Venetian Houses set got charged to my card this evening, somewhat inconveniently!
  • bulbathorbulbathor Member Posts: 49
I was also charged, had an issue due to the fact I used a gift card for payment though, as their system now recognised the card as being used.

I guess I just had to say something - my round 1 set is "In Warehouse".....yay!

No email, but I just checked and my Bowling Alley payment was taken yesterday and is "In Warehouse".

Not saying they should stop having IDEAS projects that didn't pass the review, but I'd love to submit something for it.
  • PhoenixioPhoenixio Member Posts: 313
Mine was due today, supposedly, but I just got the e-mail that they are backorder and further delayed, but with no new ship date.

It's quite annoying that they're holding charging for so long.  Most preorder sites take the money upfront.  Waiting for them to take 1000$ is no small thing.

Plus, despite being warned in advance, they refused to change my order from Canada to France.  Companies on Kickstarter and other crowdfunding platforms almost always allow it if in time.  It's disappointing to know these sets will have to be reshipped, or wait for a visit back there to be picked up.

Just received an update. My Retro Bowling Alley is now scheduled to ship August 25th.
  • PDelahantyPDelahanty Member Posts: 308
Ordered the Retro Bowling Alley on November 11, 2021.
December 15, 2021: "They're now off to production" crowdfund success notice
July 4, 2022: "Will be shipped by Aug 2, 2022"
July 11, 2022: "Will be shipped by Aug 9, 2022"
July 19, 2022: "Will be shipped by Aug 17, 2022"
July 27, 2022: "Will be shipped by Aug 25, 2022"

It looks like shipping is perpetually 29 days out.  If I get a notice on July 31st, I bet it says it will be shipped by August 29th.

Finally....received notification #910010 Great Fishing Boat is being shipped.
  • BastyBasty Member Posts: 496
I check my order and it says please contact customer service. I assume the card details need updating. But they never emailed, was just pot luck I checked.

Got my shipping track number for Retro Bowling Alley at around 9pm UK.
  • VenunderVenunder Member Posts: 2,660
The Mountain Windmill shipping email arrived yesterday. Delivery from DPD email arrived yesterday. Parcel arrived this morning. Loverly...

But that order was also supposed to include the Venetian Houses set?

Hopefully the Venetian houses will ship separately and not require a call to customer services... ?
I await further notification....with baited breath.

Both the Venetian house and the Modular Lego store just have delivered. Unfortunately the box of the Venetian houses is slightly damaged because of the weight of the Modular Lego store (and thebox being slightly shorter).
  • wiggywiggy Member Posts: 351
Windmill arrived, a couple others on the way arriving Monday apparently.

My Bowling Alley arrived today. Only posting because I haven't seen anyone say they've received this set yet.

Venetian Houses arrived with me yesterday morning and is already half built! I take it you don't get VIP points on Designer Program sets?  Or is that just me that hasn't received any?

Yes, you  should still get the VIP points. I have got them all my from the program set I bought.
  • wardmwardm Member Posts: 887
I have received VIP points! The Venetian Houses and Modular Lego Store arrived together a couple of days after the windmill.

Got my bowling alley today, somewhat regretting not getting the Venetian house, but is what it is.

The prices for the Bricklink sets on ebay are just insane!

I'm not even going to look. I want to enjoy these sets - not worry about how much money I'm missing out on by reselling them.

August 4th and now I'm told September 2nd.  Still 29 days out.  Still super annoying.

On August 11th, I'll be told September 9th.

How long will this be delayed for the United States?  This is insane!
  • rockethead26rockethead26 Member Posts: 111
Yep, Sept 2nd here too, but for the Venetian Houses.

I’ve noticed that every time I go to my orders on Lego.com, the “will ship by” date for the Modular Lego Store is the current date. 🙄

With Round 1 there were big delays for all of the US deliveries. I assume they shipped a container by boat and it got held up somewhere. I fully expect the same to happen again with Round 2.

It would be nice if they were open and honest with us instead of just stringing us along with a constant promise of 29 days for more than a month.

With the very well known state of worldwide shipping, do we really need for them to be honest, or is it more that we're angry and we need a scapegoat?

I've just had a message that my Venetian House will be arriving tomorrow.  Now I did get a bit carried away with the BDP hype, and I was a bit trigger happy with my credit card and ordered something I regretted. And so I'm going to immediately sell it and pay for a Lion Knight's castle which I like a lot more.  Sorry not sorry what with inflation/price rises/limited space after years of modular buildings/£345 for the castle, what can you do.

Having bought four copies of 10497 (two from Lego, two from Walmart), I'm somewhat relieved the Space Troopers set didn't get funded. If I'd bought a copy of that at $200 I would have been much less willing to get the extra copies of 10497 in order to build the B and C models and give one copy away. The "Bulwark" from the BDP Space Troopers was a Galaxy Explorer in Classic Space colors, according to my loose way of classifying Lego spaceships, but the 10497 is the Classic Space Galaxy Explorer.
