I had promised myself that after our trip I would be done buying for a while but the Forest Hideout GWP made purchases irresistible… This weekend I plan on pulling out my original version and building it side-by-side with the new one…

I just bought a bunch of PAB I have had my eye on because I grabbed a $20 VIP voucher for my big Forestman order last week and promptly forgot to use it. Primarily excited for the coral 1x4 masonry bricks and the trans green 1x2x2 window panes.

Forestmen GWP no longer available online, so I’m going to wait and try to pick up Galaxy Explorer in my local store on release day.

#21334 Jazz Quartet. This will have a special spot above my jazz record collection. I'm a big fan of the 40's, 50's and 60's eras.

Wait, is the Forestmen GWP still available in stores?  If so I might go take a look at mine, as I've wanted the Blacksmith for some time...  Especially more so if it's during a 2X VIP session...

The promo period is over but you could call and ask. Rumor is it will reappear when the castle launches.

Since my last post I've bought a job lot from Facebook marketplace for £180 which had several sets in, which are listed in the building thread. Sadly none of the sets advertised which I wanted were in the box, but hopefully I should be able to get my money back restoring and selling the remainder.

I've also picked up #75239 Action battle Hoth Generator Attack from eBay to provide some scenery for my AT-AT, Snowspeeder, etc.

And I've also just made an order on Lego.com with around £20 worth of pick and build / bricks and pieces to restore the majority of missing parts from the aforementioned job lot, Sadly that will not be the final tally as there are several minifigures and accessories missing that will have to come from elsewhere but oh well. And to bump it up for free delivery I did think about getting something for my wife to play with which has been on the to do list for some time, but then I thought nah (haha!) and added #76188 The classic TV series Batmobile to keep my Tumbler company. As it has been an expensive month for other reasons, I redeemed 3200 points for £20 off, and got the lot for £30 delivered with double points, which is nice considering the Batmobile alone is normally £30. Sweet :)

    Some PaB:

6x1x5 frames plus trans light blue doors
Curved windowframes + a baggie of trans windows
    1x1 black clips
    Some black round windows
A bunch of 2x1x2 SNOT bricks
    and some taps.
Trans light blue 1x2 and round dark blue 1x1 tiles not in picture.

    Great haul!

I'm pretty positive I've never once seen Trans Light Blue elements of any shape/make at my local store. I could easily fill a large cup worth of those if that dream ever came true.

    Great PAB haul!

I was able to get some of those Light Trans Blue Doors Last time I was in my nearest store but they didn't have any of the door frames.  Wish I could find some trans colored window panes, I did get some clear ones and those black round windows.  Wish I could get my hands on some of the curved window frames.  I hope they have some good stuff when I visit this coming Saturday.

I’m a sucker for a cheap “How incomplete is it?” puzzle. I think it’s nearly complete, without  minifigs. We’ll see what happens when it arrives next week.

Bought #76216 at my local Lego store today to take advantage of the AFOL Appreciation Day discount. Really wanted the set to add to my existing Armory sets but could only justify it with a discount. $90 USD was just unpalatable.

I’ll post in the brag thread if it deserves a brag after it arrives, but this morning I jumped on this bulk lot on eBay.

It’s like a Rorschach test - I see a #42083 Bugatti Chiron. Seller stated it’s 7 pounds of parts. BrickStore estimates the total weight of the Chiron’s parts at 6.7 pounds, so either we have a winner and the wheels are buried in the pictures, or there are some filler bricks.

I finally managed to win an auction for something off my to do list without paying over the odds for it haha.

#75167 Bounty Hunter Speeder Bike Battle pack. I don't care at all for the speeder bike build itself, but the minifigures will make for a nice addition to my Star Wars shelves.

How many of you are stocking up on sets before the August price increases (anywhere in the world)?
I'm considering #10297 Boutique Hotel before it increases $30 / 15%.  Other price increase sets I might buy are #76908 Lambo, #76911 Aston Martin, #76946 Jurassic World.  I really hope City Space doesn't increase in the USA like #60348 Rover is in the
Question is:  Do I buy now to get double points and a weak GWP, or wait until 8/3/22 when #10305 Castle is released hoping for #40567 Forest Hideout GWP to be offered again.  Timing the price increase is like timing the end of a sale...

I actually took advantage of the double VIP points to clear out about 20 of the sets that were on my list of sets I was going to get eventually, that overlapped with the sets that are increasing come August 1st.  A good number of the sets seeing increases are larger sets that are unlikely to go on any kind of significant sale in the US, since we don't usually get sales like the seem to in Europe, so this double points even ending today is probably your best chance to get them at the cheapest price we're likely to see them.  For #10297 at least, I would pull the trigger if you were planning on getting it anyway, and have the money.

either we have a winner and the wheels are buried in the pictures, or there are some filler bricks.
The Bugatti was a bit of a bust. Obvious omissions are the wheels, engine, and transmission. It seems most of the body is here. Now I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth doing an inventory and ordering the missing parts, or selling the lot as-is to recoup my money.

On a positive note, the filler bricks were most of the sub from #71756 Hydro Bounty. I would never have bought this set for myself, but it’s a neat set. Ninjago always brings novel building techniques and great colors.

Definitely something to consider: The Bugatti is on Stonewars' list of retiring sets for this year.  There are two pieces plus the sticker sheet that I know are unique to this set; the wheels/rims, and piece 98138pb087 (a printed round 1x1 with the Bugatti logo on it).  It would probably be worth picking up what you need from these three items NOW, even if you intend to sell off the set later, since they will both add value to the set to have, even incomplete, and also likely shoot up in price once the set retires.

(For comparison, the rims for #42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which are similarly unique, currently cost $38.55 per for the cheapest 'from anywhere/ships anywhere' set.  The Bugatti rims are currently only $6.55 per for similarly filtered pieces.  The sticker set for the Bugatti appears to currently be running ~$13-14, while the Porsche sticker set is running ~$29.)

Another slow week but my wife dragged me into Poundland today and I spotted several of those fugly Lego books on sale for £2-£3 each. I picked up these two on the off chance I get a #75055 Star Destroyer on the cheap without minifigures.

Granted, SW0877 and SW0769 aren't quite the same as the original minifigures, but they're close enough - and I'll finally have a use for the Stormtroopers that came with my pair of #75300 Tie Fighters too. Bricklink lists the minifigures at a good £5-£6 each so win win.

They also had a Biggs Darklighter minifigure book which would have gone nicely in an extra #75301 X-Wing but I didn't bother on account that he came with hair, and not his own unique helmet.

Now to find me a cheap Imperial crew member and a reasonably priced Star Destroyer...

After some unsuccessful bids on some sets and some offers declined, I bought a retired set I never knew I wanted until recently... #75137 Carbon-Freezing chamber for the Boba Fett minifigure to go alongside the other bounty hunters from #75167. Now to add Zuckuss, or not to add Zuckuss, that is the question.

My gut feeling says in for a penny, in for a pound, but it would cost as much for a whole other set to add that sucker in and I don't know if it's worth it. Maybe I will when I've ticked a few other more important things from my to do list off first, namely a Star Destroyer, Tie Advance, Y-Wing and A-Wing.

I got outbid on #75291 while watching Revenge of the Sith and sent off an offer for Zuckuss. The seller was surprisingly awake this late, and after a bit of back and forth we agreed on a deal, Zuckuss is on his way, and then I spotted they had a #SW0969 Cloud Car Pilot too, so I nabbed that for combined shipping.

I'm thinking of doing a bricks and pieces order to make the #75222 Cloud Car without the uneccessary expense or unwieldy bulk of buying the whole Betrayal at Cloud City. Here's hoping I can get hold of all of the parts and the sticker sheet to put that minifigure to use!

Pre-order for Sanctum Santorum thanks to the Target misprice. $200 instead of $250 is worth jumping on.

Now I'm looking at placing at least another order or two on sets that are going to suffer from the price increases in the US tomorrow. Looking really hard at NES, Ecto-1, Daily Bugle, and a few others. Home Alone is now probably off my list for good. Haunted House isn't showing on any of the US price increase lists so far but it jumped a good bit in Australia, so ... uggg... I don't need to spend this much today!

Do we know if there'll be a bonus on Lego.com for the Sanctum Sanctorum?  I'm thinking of pushing back this purchase so that I can afford the Castle as well...

OK, ended up placing orders for NES, Haunted House, and UCS Landspeeder based on the price increases in Australia and Target.com (Landspeeder jumped from $200-$240 this evening). UGGG!!!

I’m kinda surprised #10497 is still in stock currently. LEGO seems to be getting better at anticipating it’s customer’s demands.

I’m trying to decide if I should jump on #10305 when it’s released on Wednesday, or hold out for a double VIP points event.  I’ll be kicking myself if it sells out quickly.
