That Exo Suit is awesome!
Sorry to say it, but that EVE thing is hideous! I know that these are supposed to be ideas that will get fleshed out later, but that just doesnt look good to me, but hey its clearly another set that is based upon a game with a cult following so will make the 10k even if very few of the voters have any intention of buying anything.
The Bladerunner set is nice, love all that blue, the designer has also created a great little batmobile: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/1759
It will be interesting to see the market response to the Mincraft stuff. TLG seem to have done a nice job on the design and packaging https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150675231288403&set=a.10150175674793403.303596.6665038402&type=1&theater
Still no word on the Winchester debacle... Do you think they are waiting to see how the minecraft project pans out?
I didn't vote for any as I do believe that you should only vote if you indeed to buy the product, which is why ultimately why I think Cuusoo will be short lived, atleast in its current form (and soon) I think we will start to see lots of sets reach 10,000 votes a lot quicker, as popularity and awareness on the site grows, and thus not really a good indicator on what the public actually want.
Anyhow that's my little rant but it is cool to see the creativity in the sets you posted. Some really good builders out there to.
But i think thats the problem with custoo. No matter how good a build it is it wont get the votes unless its linked to some thing. And as @shannon69 says people will vote as its cool not because they will buy it or that its a good idea.
A couple of sites I'd try for promotion are Gizmodo and Engadget, I've seen Lego on there more times than I can remember and they have very broad and large audiences.
Do you know WoW? 10+ million people play it and it would be really easy to get 10k people to support a project. Hell I could probably pay people with in game gold to vote for something and get 10k votes. But since WoW isnt very "modular" or vehicle based it would be hard coming up with good sets.
Now I get that lego have to make money and the best way to see if it will sell is to try and hit the 10,000 vote mark. If they all buy a set thats good business. However we already have those mass market sets such as star wars and ninjago which keep lego in profit. I think this would be better served as a kind of catering to the AFOLs site where good sets could be made in a limited number and sold like the modulars. And if such as Monkey-roo's idea or the evo suit you come across something that is both well that is even better.
@Atkinsar I'm with you, I love checking out the different projects. One that has really caught my eye that would be sweet is the Legend of Zelda project.
Thats what I always thought
BTW, I like the Spinner.... maybe it's not Cuusoo material, but I'd like to see it happen.
Others seem to be inspiring Lego themselves to release similar sets, such as a Haunted House. So limiting or curtailing ideas because they don't fit current or existing marketing is short sighted. Maybe this will give rise to the next "Bionicle-like" novel theme, like seen in the upcoming Ninjago Samurai Mech. My favorite Cuusoo entry for this is the excellent Gundam model:

To get decent sales I just think stuff is going to need a broader appeal and potential market than the same old computer-based fandom.
I also hope CUUSOO lower the 10k threshold for the piece designs on there. We'd all buy packets of cool new pieces, right? Or would we wait until they were cheaper on BrickLink :o(
Also the alpha stage comes before not after the beta stage.

Check out the videos... completely crazy.
Here's a non-Technic one to pair with as a mini-version:

for the technic one, there are probably too much pf included, tlg would charge a fortune for that model.
I really like the UCS Sand Crawler on CUUSOO. I want that one to be reality. That, and the western modular town.
LEGO is kind of putting themselves in between a rock and a hard place on this one. The publicity and views and traffic are great - but how many of those people voting for something are going to buy it, especially when many (most?) of those people probably don't buy LEGO currently. More importantly, how many of them will buy OTHER LEGO sets later?
Then you have the licensing issues, along with content/values, etc. It gets a bit messy for LEGO. I think the best/only way to dig themselves out is to modify the TOS to simply just exclude third party IPs to begin with.

Clearly great minds think alike as a couple of my picks have been mentioned by others on this thread....

It was one of the Factory series of fan-made sets, so in some ways not too unlike Cuusoo.
