Valuation of a replica Cafe Corner 10182

I was wondering what you people on Brickset what the value of a replica Cafe Corner would be. The only parts not original are the 5 windows & frames ( 4113220/ 4218638) ( replaced with 60608/60598), the grey framed door is right hand instead of left and has minor scratches, and the 4 parrots are dark grey instead of dark bluish grey.

Also, the 1x2x3 white panels have side supports. I am thinking about selling it but am unsure what to ask. If a Cafe Corner with all of the correct parts minus the minifigures goes for $650-700 how much would a modified/Bricklinked version cost?

    I'd say $600-$650.

Personally I'd go around $500, as the parts you are missing are quite expensive, especially the door and the 22(?) white panels without side supports. The fact that a prospective owner would have to go chasing down these parts to make it complete in order to have 100% identical. If you don't have the instruction manual that's an additional drawback, it's worth over $100 in itself.

Mind you, the parts cost of what you do have is probably $350-400 unless you're great at finding deals, and the labor of putting it all together is worth a lot, so hopefully it won't be much less than $500 (I'm hoping the same as my CC has some of the same parts substitutions).

Ok, I was thinking $400-450. I see what you are saying about the 20 1x2x3 panels, but the windows and window frames are fairly cheap.

but if the person is buying a known replica, would they care about replacing those parts? I wouldn't think so. Of course, they would want a 'discount' commensurate with the missing parts, but doubtful they would go out and source them later.

Should it be listed as a replica with blaa blaa replacement parts?

^ yeah. something like "custom-built 10182 cafe corner. All parts are same as factory-original 10182, except the following:"

The value is equal to the value of the parts themselves. If it cost you $300 to assemble it, the value is $300.

It cost me about $425 including shipping.

I would say there is value in the effort you are saving someone else to do all that legwork.

Then there's your value. You might argue adding a bit for your trouble but that's pushing it given that you're not really talking all that much labor. Time perhaps, but not labor. ;-)

I was thinking of listing it for $450.

I think it would be a bit better if you just round it off to $500. But your choice! Good luck selling it.

^ That would be great if someone would buy it for that price.

Nice! That's a good price for a CC with that many substitutions!

Yeah, I think the buyer will be happy. 99% of the pieces are new.
