IMO that is how they should have been, I cannot image they take up that much space and I think they a neat little thing for VIPs to get if they so choose. In any case, if they wind up having 'too many' I worry that they will go back to miserly ways with other promos....
But looking in my VIP, the coins (other than the one I redeemed for) are still available. So there must be enough stock to allow each VIP to get them? But maybe limited time offering? I mean, the camera is still in my VIP stock also, so maybe that didn't sell well or they just had plenty around. I don't know.
In stock, or available for you to redeem them?
If you see them available to redeem that should mean you never bought any in the past as that is how LEGO has it set up. For example, I was missing only the VIP gold coin. So I saw all coins in my rewards, but only the VIP Gold coin was available for me to redeem. Now, LEGO has said at some point they may unlock them for all again if they have a lots of stocks of each left after a certain period (but they never said what they date may be). The Camera became available twice for me to redeem, so once initially and then again later (Im guessing the had a lot of stock on those), but as @karrit says, I would rather see stock available than the 'blink and its gone' way they have done things in the past.
Use some thick or photo paper though and wow, is it gonna suck up all your black and blue ink!
"Claim your welcome back VIP points for you to redeem on the Rewards Centre. There’s no catch – they’re yours. All yours.
You can use them for some very cool things, like discounts on LEGO® sets, tickets to incredible days out, exclusive rewards and a whole lot more."
Can someone remind me?
I had it in my VIP Rewards section.
Knowing LEGO's inability to know how many of something to produce (even though you know how many VIP members you have), I think people should also debate if its worth getting up at 6am ET to redeem points for the code to get them as waiting until later may mean disappointment....
But I noticed on the Spiderman cover print that it said less than 50 left. So not sure when it starts tracking inventory. I was debating on getting one, but I'm not going to frame it and hang it up so do I need a piece of paper to put with my instructions?
Hmm, I want that print, but not really at 450 points for it....
Thanks Lego....
That sucks, I would definitely contact CS about it, as they may be able to send out another in an envelope (hopefully not folded in half so it fits, either)
In any case, for Europe there were 16000 of each of the Space and Octan caps made available; only 9500 of the kids version.
Nice? Sure. Realistic? Probably not.
Considering that the 2nd batch of coins are still available 3 months after release (including the space one - that's pretty recent it finally sold out), TLG's original demand estimate for these was not that much off after all.
I'm definitely going to forget and/or miss the ten minute window they go live, aren't I?
