Amazon has white (and blue) baseplates for 4.79 when you clip the coupon on the page. It will add the discount based on how many you buy.

The blue baseplates are now $4.47.

Isn't the correct question around here: Why would you NOT need white ones?!

It looks like the white ones are bouncing in and out of stock with Amazon. I was able to place an order for just 3. I tried to get in a second order but got a message saying they couldn't add them to my cart. Got them in the cart after a couple tries and then it wouldn't let me place an order with them in the cart and explicitly noted that their system was removing them from my cart.

As an alternative, to anyone is hoping to stock up on a bunch of white baseplates: They're $5.99 at Target right now, and Target is running the $10 gift card with a $50 Lego purchase deal right now. Not quite as good a deal as the Amazon one with the instant coupon, but it averages out to ~$5/baseplate if you order 9 and have a Red Card for that extra 5% off.

Edit: I just tried one more time. Now the message is more clear in saying that I have hit a purchase limit for the item. So, 3 seems to be the max allowed under the current promo.

Seems that I've acted too late. With officially deciding to move to a MILS style layout for my village in the next years, I'll need to collect a decent amount of baseplates. Seeing them at this price is the way I'll need to go to make it more cost effective. I think I'll end up needing around 36 for the main footprint.

Even a handful at a time at $5/each would be good.

Yep, I went on and ordered the 3 that I could from Amazon to start building up stock. My ambition is smaller than yours at just 15-18 base for the next few years. Still means I need to get a LOT of 2x2, 2x3, or 2x4 bricks and even more 4x4 white plates. Every dollar saved at these volumes will help!

Right now, 9 white baseplates at Target is $53.91 before Red Card and $51.72 after. Add whatever your local tax is to that. Mine comes to $54.95. Then figure the $10 gift card that I will use for something else I need anyway, and you're looking at ~$45 net for 9 white baseplates, or $5/each, so real close to the $4.79+tax from Amazon.

I tried to add them to my cart and they were coming in still around $6/each. Admittedly, I haven't used Amazon coupons often, so perhaps I'm missing something?

Can't decide if it's worth it to grab some of the blue too as, a part from the modules on the front edge of the display, the baseplate won't be seen at all. It looks like the plates are usually sold for cheaper than RRP during the year. Worst case scenario I end up paying $1.20 more each.

Make sure you clip the coupon on the main page.  The coupon doesn't automatically add.  There are times where I needed to clip multiple times too.

Thanks for the notice of the 32x32 white baseplates as I got a few coming my way, almost forgot about those, and when you do that, you only tend to remember you need them when they are gone.
  • autolycusautolycus Member Posts: 1,432
Looks like the price for the white baseplate has jumped up to $6.84 and the coupon is gone.

The blue ones are still discounted and still have the coupon. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like. Make sure to check the box that I have circled crudely. The box will show a green check mark. The price will not be reduced on the product page, but you will see a credit in the order total calculation.

Is Amazon still shipping via USPS? Even when they were here, they only ever put a package in my mailbox once, even when it would have been easy. And if it ain’t USPS, they shouldn’t be using your mailbox.
  • MynattMynatt Member Posts: 632
@Astrobricks Just checked, the package arrived through USPS. Even got the notification through Amazon, “the package was left in the residence’s mailbox.”

Just noticed that a lot of the Vidyo sets are 20-40% off on Amazon if anyone's interested.
For whatever reason, they're not included on Brickset's discount roundup page.

They have been fluctuating in price for the past month. Its a bit annoying really.
    Also
#76125 Hall of armor has been going from 65 down to 47.99 at Amazon
#75254 AT-ST Raider has been fluctuating between 36.04 and 27.99

I finally snagged the Hall of Armor one of the times it was listed at 47.99.  Gave up hoping for a better deal since I missed the half price one around Black Friday.

Yeah, missed all the ones that were at 20 or 25 dollars at Walmart clearances in the area as well.

Wow, Prime day is Awesome. I found the Creator mustang for 149.95 instead of 149.99, actually a couple of good deals, the Hall of Armor is a good deal for those who missed out on the insane Walmart clearance prices

Amazon hasn't had much to offer.  They did have a few decent deals earlier with a 50% lightning deal on one of the small AT-ATs.  The best deals right now I think are the 20% off Land Rover or The Child.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
Not really great, but if you feel like you need to have a #21318 tree house, they are down to 189.99 (only 5% off)

#76192 Endgame Final Battle is on sale for 55.99 (20% off) as well

Slickdeals says the deal is over, but it's still active on Amazon right now.  It's not Prime, but still free shipping.   Thanks for pointing this out, because I missed it when they had it on Zavvi right before the price changed, and since I knew I was going to have to get 3 of them, I thought I was going to have to pay an extra $100.  Nice find!

For the "Prime Early Access Sale", there are several sets at 30% off, most of which were originally released in 2021 or earlier.  The highest-priced set is #43179 Mickey and Minnie, followed by a couple Monkie Kid sets.

The train station has been retired for awhile now and odds of that being even close to retail is slim to none.

@Pitfall69 I know but thought if elves were showing up maybe 2019 wasn't totally out of the running. I’ve been trying to decide whether to get this year’s set which I’m lukewarm on or put that money toward getting the station for about twice original price.  Interest in opinions from those that end up with both sets what they’d do.
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,476
I've just received my Holiday Main Street set. I personally enjoy it (though haven't built it yet), but it's likely slightly biased by my love of all things Winter Village. I think of the two, I'd lean more toward the train station if you have the train (or A train to use). I made some modifications to mine to make it a bit longer.

A little of "to each their own" in this case, but the train station might win out slightly without having built the new offering.

I do have the holiday train.  I haven’t had a chance to figure out what I don’t have in parts for the train station and what it would take to bricklink but will try to soon as I expect the station will only go up closer to the holidays.  It’s currently around $200 plus 25-50 in shipping on eBay and about the same on bricklink.  Plus I may already have more ideas than time to work for a go at a winter display for the holidays - 75 days tick tock already feeling late🙃

@Lo1sJess , for me it's hands down the station. If you already have the train it's even more the clear choice. The station is only going to get more expensive and further out of reach...and the more you will want it! Main Street will be around for at least a year (?) so plenty of time to get it next summer with 2X points or a GWP you have to get. Maybe wait till after Christmas for the station as demand goes down some and people decide they need to pay for Christmas.

@Marshallmario thanks I did go ahead and buy the station off eBay - no box or manual but just a smidge under $200.  Looking forward to the build and maybe getting a winter village display out this year.
