But now I'm thinking, do I need white ones too???
It looks like the white ones are bouncing in and out of stock with Amazon. I was able to place an order for just 3. I tried to get in a second order but got a message saying they couldn't add them to my cart. Got them in the cart after a couple tries and then it wouldn't let me place an order with them in the cart and explicitly noted that their system was removing them from my cart.
As an alternative, to anyone is hoping to stock up on a bunch of white baseplates: They're $5.99 at Target right now, and Target is running the $10 gift card with a $50 Lego purchase deal right now. Not quite as good a deal as the Amazon one with the instant coupon, but it averages out to ~$5/baseplate if you order 9 and have a Red Card for that extra 5% off.
Edit: I just tried one more time. Now the message is more clear in saying that I have hit a purchase limit for the item. So, 3 seems to be the max allowed under the current promo.
Even a handful at a time at $5/each would be good.
Right now, 9 white baseplates at Target is $53.91 before Red Card and $51.72 after. Add whatever your local tax is to that. Mine comes to $54.95. Then figure the $10 gift card that I will use for something else I need anyway, and you're looking at ~$45 net for 9 white baseplates, or $5/each, so real close to the $4.79+tax from Amazon.
Can't decide if it's worth it to grab some of the blue too as, a part from the modules on the front edge of the display, the baseplate won't be seen at all. It looks like the plates are usually sold for cheaper than RRP during the year. Worst case scenario I end up paying $1.20 more each.
The blue ones are still discounted and still have the coupon. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like. Make sure to check the box that I have circled crudely. The box will show a green check mark. The price will not be reduced on the product page, but you will see a credit in the order total calculation.
Someone was determined to make it fit in the mailbox. 🥲
Thanks for the heads up!! Purchased a couple of each.
For whatever reason, they're not included on Brickset's discount roundup page.
Yeah, missed all the ones that were at 20 or 25 dollars at Walmart clearances in the area as well.

Slickdeals says the deal is over, but it's still active on Amazon right now. It's not Prime, but still free shipping. Thanks for pointing this out, because I missed it when they had it on Zavvi right before the price changed, and since I knew I was going to have to get 3 of them, I thought I was going to have to pay an extra $100. Nice find!
Yeah, must be coming in and out of stock as its not available again.
#41182 from 2017 for $24.
I like the long retired SW battle packs selling for $30+ #75079 & #75206.
A little of "to each their own" in this case, but the train station might win out slightly without having built the new offering.
