Bro Thor has been available online for a long time on the Target site but has only shown up en masse at my local stores in the past 2 weeks.  My assumption was it was all due to the supply chain issues and it was one of the unlucky items that got held up for way longer than anticipated.
I was glad to be able to pick it up at 20% discount today. Thanks everyone for reminding me.
Nice, I picked one up from .com for that price last week during the gift card promo as well.  If I recall correctly, it's been at that sale price even before last week's GC promo.  What's weird is that it rang up for full price in-store last week; not sure about this week.

That many Bro Thor sets remind me of the Targets doing that exact same thing years ago with the DC Universe Jokers Steam Roller and if memory is correct, the Marvel X-Men Guardians of the Galaxy #76020 Knowhere Space Mission.  There were 30+ at various stores and they sat for 2-3 months and then finally clearanced at 50% off.
I picked up several of set #76013 The Joker Steam Roller went it was 50% off.  I think it's a great looking set with some unique minifigures and parts.  I'm surprised that this set hasn't appreciated in value over the years.  You can still pick up this set at RRP.

My target also has a ridiculous amount of Bro Thors. At least 16 rows x 7 deep plus scattered other rows.

I think its because those were on discount so much that they have not appreciated. I am surprised as well though as that Joker figure was never redone.. Maybe people are suffering from 'Batman' fatigue.

I received the LEGO x Target Fun in Space puzzle for Christmas today. I was surprised that the 500 pieces are sealed inside the new biodegradable paper bag instead of the plastic resealable one.

#43111 Candy Castle Stage is 20% off ($23.99) but the particular box on the shelf had a $19.99 sticker. Service desk cashier let me have it for that price no problem.

One seal was torn, but the box was not creased so not forced open from there. Opened it in front of the cashier and baseplate and 3 bags were still there sealed with minifigure parts still in them. Speculation is accidental damage during being bought and returned.

had been thinking of it, but was unsure.
built #41393 last night, liked it, and this goes with it for bright food themed aesthetic

The website is only showing 19 sets on sale for me, mostly Super Mario, Minecraft, City, a few Starwars sets and a couple of Jurassic sets.  None of the Friends sets are showing sale prices online. Maybe they haven't loaded everything yet or they are leaving it up to the individual store managers.

When I looked online and at the local online ad, it was only for 3 sets total, 1 duplo ( #10940 ), and two sets that have been out for awhile; #60305 and #71388.  I'm really hoping that it's only the start and they just haven't finished putting sets up...
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,352
#76940 looks cool amongst the new sets
Some 20% off SW sets but no other deals

Did find some 30417, and #30583 for a new poly

I was going to post last night also but I wanted to be sure my order went through before posting.  Mine have been shipped.  Couldn't decide between Red or Blue so I ordered both.

Restock / new stock of many huge sets such as Ideas, Botanical Collection, mosaics, #10292 #43179 #10265 #71374, maybe some of the big SW models are new, and some small/medium sets

#71383 listed at $29.49 instead of $39.99 but I didn't see any other deals on Mario sets
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,352

They had the White, Red, and Blue plush spacemen in stock today.  (In the Lego aisle.)  Picked up the red one.  I figure white would get dirty too easy and blue is interpreted as "Benny" these days.  ...so I've got a nice generic red spaceman to give my son when he comes home from daycare.

I ordered the red & blue ones when they became available online.  Was only going to keep one but I think both are staying.  I need to come up with good names for them because I really don't want to call them Benny & Denny (red).  I wish they had made them in Yellow & Black too.  Hope your son enjoys the red one.

If this is directed toward me I Just don't like the whole Benny, Denny, Lenny, Jenny, Kenny naming.  I think they need more interesting astronomical type names.

^In the tone of certain 4th grade cartoon characters, "Oh my gosh, you dislike Benny, Denny, Lenny, Jenny, and Kenny!  You unkind person!"

Target has the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 #10274 It's been out of stock at LEGO for a while now but they are popping up on Target shelves and on the website for shipping. With a Target RedCard you can save $10. I had fun trying to find one on the shelf without the Spider Wrap security straps cutting into the box edges.

Target ad starting April 3rd buy one get one 40% off select sets including Harry Potter, Classic, Speed Champion & Friends.  Will be interesting to see which sets are included in the sale.

40% off of LEGO..at a retail store.. are you sure this is not an April fools day prank? :-)
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 1,064
Well it actually is only at most 20% off if you buy two sets that cost the same.

Yep, BOGO X off is at best half X off on 2. One of many annoying deal structures.

Gray baseplate included and already below MSRP online but I don't think I need more

#41701 looks like $1 off online

There seems to be a lot included starting at MSRP though. I have #41448 already, though

All the sets I would want I already own. And while it may not be the best deal ever, any deal on LEGO these days is a good one IMO. I rarely find deals.

    #41697 is included.
Cute animal figs and the baby turtle is new at least to me and a nice beach scene.  But I don't see any other $9.99 sets in store that I want, similar for 41701 and other $50ish sets

Maybe I'll look online or get a 2nd of 41697 for a gift.
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 1,064
I still need the HP Hospital Wing but nothing else in the $49.99 price point I want.  I did grab a couple of Friends sets that were $29.99 each.  Would have gotten the Classic Creative Monsters set with The Turtle Protection but my store was out of the Monster set.

Yes it is.  They currently show 62 sets as part of the deal but some of them aren't really available anymore at least not online & no stock in any stores near me.

Grabbed two Hogwarts trains yesterday.  Also got a couple of the passenger trains earlier this week which are also 20% off.  Might go back to get the HP portrait.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,352
#41677 is $9.99 and included but I think I might already have it

Still not seeing any other $50 sets I want to go with street food market. Would even take a slight inefficiency on the deal with a $40 set
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,352
saw a #41335 as is for $69.99, issue appeared to be just a dimged up box, seals intact
But by the time I decided to get it, put enough in the account linked to my redcard, and get back there, it was gone
Maybe I should have gotten it the first time but I don't want to overbuy and overspend because of FOMO.
At that scale the difference between 1% circle rewards and 5% redcard is noticeable
I suppose I don't need more backlog anyway, which may have to do with my initial hesitation
  • Sethro3Sethro3 Member Posts: 1,015
^That set is a $30 Friends set, I hope you didn't try buying it for $70. Now I'm curious on what set you were looking at.
