So - having a go at my first rebrickble project, figured i would go for something big(ish) so going to put this one together, for me the best example of The Outlander I have found (that fits with the system scale and looks good and is better than anything I could design) - might take a few weeks though :)

Isn't that Dash Rendar's Outrider? Or was there another YT-2400 named Outlander?

^ That just looks like it would go into a catastrophic spin any time you turned the engines on.

That figure does cut a pretty impressive pose @TheFew! Thanks for sharing all of the progress pics.

What I've built in the last week: I added a few DOTS tiles to the Monkie Kid's Staff Creations just because.

Basic build done - overall very good model - the curved roof is a little awkward - but so it is on all the falcon sets as well.
overall the instructions were very good - a tiny bit of interpretation needed and being a MOC allowed for flexibility with parts.
the scale is fantastic and she look great.
I’ve had a go at a Dash figure (I have MOC printed one somewhere) but liked the idea of creating a new on. I’ll create some other characters to crew the ship just for fun later.
well worth the build if you are a Shadows fan.

The shelf turned out great! So those look like chrome tanker cars??? Never seen that before?

The chrome curved slopes only came in one ugly set in 2003, #4654

I came across the idea on Brickshelf many years ago. It took several iterations to get the look I wanted, but I love them.

To hide the yellow, I have pearl gray curved slopes along the top, and a cleverly attached 6x6 dish on the ends.

Wow, I assumed the chrome Octan bits were homemade stickers. Guess there are hidden gems in the jack stone era after all! Nice job

Unfortunately, life has been quite busy so not had much time for Lego. But I managed to get to the Lego store and picked up the free Valentine’s Day heart jewellery box which I’ve just built. Nothing says I love you more than a Lego heart! :)

No free valentine box offered over here in Virginia.  Fairly long line of men at the Pandora store I pass on way to Lego store though.

After watching this Adam Savage video of Grant Imahara’s BB-8 recreation, I was inspired to finally build #75187.

I really like how they recreated the characteristic head bobble motion. While building it, it seems unpromising, but the effect once the head is on is spot-on.

None offered at the store in Natick, Massachusetts either.  (However, my wife did get the free Friends set with her tree house purchase.)

I have made some more progress on our Legend of Zelda map. We (my daughter and I) are still undecided on tiles or studs for the ground. Thoughts?

I build a simple Angular to help layout the project. You can view one screen at a time, or the entire map with or without guidelines. It can be viewed here: https://angular-ivy-cmnxck.stackblitz.io

^ For those techies out there: only 50 or so lines of code :) I love Angular.

Aren't you a little short to be a Sith Lord?

Had a spare half hour to kill yesterday so after spending 15 mins looking at what to build, decided to just grab #40539 Ahsoka Tano from the stack of unbuilt stuff and put it together.

Master and Padawan back together again although Vader seems a little stubby compared to his younger apprentice.
Fun little build and makes good use of the small bracket pieces in places. Also liked the way her shirt went together as it made a nice change from the usual printed affair that Brickheadz normally have.

@FollowsClosely, I would vote for tiles (though I know it's a larger expense) as the studs may give it a less finished feel? Assuming the border terrain is finished as in the examples above, then perhaps the studs on the walkway portion would be totally fine.

I'm excited to see it continue to come together!

Got smaller Eternals sets on sale and trying one to see if I want to go back for a bigger one

Loving the color scheme, bright but not garish
Lots of detail on the deviant, sore fingertips putting all those little parts together

You mean skip as in a big garbage bin?
Early after the end of my dark age I found at the curb a Star Wars set complete except for the fig, still unassembled, fueled my BL part out operation
I've found piles of used pieces since then

Some progress on our Ledged of Zelda Map. We are half done* with the left half of the map. And by done, I mean the first 3 layers of plates. We will add the terrain and details once our orders come in.

@FollowsClosely if there are instructions for your Legend of Zelda build they should start with "it's dangerous to go alone. take this!" :)

Hi, I am currently working on MOCs for a project over on lego World Builder. The project is called Buildovian Adventure, and I have mentioned it here previously.

I am looking for some advice on my project's subject matter.

Now there is a thing on World Builder called Pitch Fest, where world ideas are given the chance to pitch to The Lego Group and the world could become a new Lego theme, or a movie/TV show, game etc. It's sort of like Lego Ideas except you don't need to meet any threshold of supporters and, if selected, you basically do an interview with Lego employees. The applications for Pitch Fest begin in April of this year.

As apart of my Buildovian Adventure, I have three parts to the story. Buildovian Adventure, which introduces the characters and main conflicts/problems of the theme, Buildovian Treasure, which introduces a new location and 'problem' to be solved by the heroes and to beat the antagonists, and The Afolanian Affair, which I am working on now and continues the location of part one but with a new problem, namely the introduction of a neighbouring country to Buildovia called Afolania.

Now a quick run down of the plot for part three. The antagonists from previous adventures (Von Kaltenblock and Zargon), have manipulated General Von Barron (the bricktator of Afolania, although he is only a bricktator in that he's not elected leader, everything else is democratic and there's no violence or control of citizens etc. also yes, he is a cousin of Baron Von Barron) to invade part of Buildovia to gain the areas where Von Kaltenblock lives. The 'invasion annexation' part of the story is purely about Zargon and Von Kaltenblock trying to make personal gains at the expense of others.

In fact I add an Afolanian character who sees through their scheme and tries to maintain peace (which also allows me to further develop one of my main characters Princess Rachel).

Spoiler alert the invasion is foiled, and there is also no violence or military action, aside from a sword and pistol fight on a train between the main good guys and bad guys)

Now the heroes of the story split into two groups, one engaging in diplomacy (where I introduce more characters and some dialogue and humour, including The Legoland League which is obviously loosely inspired by the League of Nations) and the other stops the Afolanian airforce by humorously putting potatoes in the exhausts of the enemy aircraft so they can't start. Later the heroes are on a troop train and after some more dialogue and a sword fight on the roof of the carriages, the heroes just pull the coupling pin and send the bad guys sliding all the way back to Afolania, thereby saving the day.
There is lots of Marx Brothers/Three Stooges humour throughout and the whole thing is meant to be only the seriousness of a Tintin or Biggles story. (speaking of which, I have characters inspired by both Tintin, and Biggles and his friends)

Now to get to the point, as we are all aware there have been some concerning occurrences between Ukraine and Russia these past few months, and recently Russia invaded Ukraine.

I would hate to go to all the trouble of making this project only for it to be rejected due to the world situation, despite my project never being intended to replicate or comment on current affairs and the Lego countries and characters being entirely fictitious.
In fact I started this project long before any of the current situation arose, and was in no way inspired by it.

I have put a lot of time and effort into this and therefore I reach out to the Lego community for your opinions.

Do you think the idea is too controversial (which is completely unintended); and is it likely the admins/Lego Group (as this is intended for Pitch Fest) will reject my ideas?

Or is it still worth submitting? (if it is rejected on other grounds well that's rotten luck but there's no point if it will be rejected before I've even had a chance to 'pitch' it)
