Taking an annual family trip that has a nearby Walmart that we always do our grocery shopping at. I've lucked out a couple of times there as it's more rural. Crossing my fingers I can land a good deal or two.

my Walmart finally got Mickey's prop plane in. I was able to order it at the online price and pick it up. but for some reason, it took two days to be ready for pick up. oh well, I have it now, lol.
They also have Friends Forest Waterfall #41677 & City Wildlife Rescue ATV #60300 for $6.49 each.  I picked mine up yesterday as well as going to Kohl's to pick up the Harry Potter First Flying Lesson #76395 that I used my $20 Kohl's cash on to get it for $10.

#11011 Bricks and Animals 1500pc box for $29 starting November 3rd. Also a Duplo 175pc set but I can't make out the number from the ad.

    Starting Nov. 10, #75254 and #75947 and #75940 will be $30.

Picked up a couple of Looney Tunes minifigs for $2.50 each. Not the best deal I've ever got on the mini figs but I didn't have any from this series and there was only two left. Lucked out and got two I definitely wanted.  Daffy Duck and Wile E. Coyote.

I've seen other's mention it but the Walmart app price checker is essentially useless for checking clearance items after the recent update. I hate it so much. It has put a major dent in my LEGO shopping.

Yup, and I've heard that they're getting rid of all price scanners in the stores as well.  That's certainly true in my local store.

That sucks. But I’ve not felt the need to even check Walmarts lately since they’ve had so little stock.

Scanners disappeared from all the Walmarts near me over a year ago.  The app update removing the ability to check prices/stock at multiple stores in one glance has pretty much rendered it beyond useless.  When I try to check on anything it says Loveland Super Center with no address but there are two of them so I never know which one it's giving me prices or listings for.  My nearest store of the two is beginning to set up some of the Holiday Toy displays but still no new polybags to be found, just the same dots bunny cube, red city car & blue speed champion that they've had for most of this year.  There were a few Marvel Minifigs in a box on the shelf but I got all the ones I wanted already.  Stock seemed a bit more plentiful but still a lot of empty shelf space.

I'll echo that the updated app is useless. Brickseek is now what i have to use. It's definitely more cumbersome when in a store but the price has always been accurate.

So true...the new version of the Walmart App is beyond worthless.  Most of the time now I scan something in-store and it'll say "out of stock"...and there's clearly 8-12 on the shelve.  And you can't check online prices or another WM store to compare.  Not sure what it's good for now...nothing for me at least.  Is this an upsell for WM+??
But I've notice lately too that Brickseek says multiple items aren't currently available at Walmart(like the Darth Vadar helmets, Venom) when they clearly are.

They probably removed clearance pricing thanks to Karen's trying to price match with it. In any case, I deleted their app as that was all I used it for.

The #66684 Vehicles Gift Set (bundle of #60256 Racing Cars, #60285 Sports Car, and a travel case) is currently $20.
(For me, it's showing up as shipping only, so would need to add $15+ or buy two for free shipping.)

Walmart currently has most of the Disney Mickey Mouse sets selling at 20% off rrp as well as some other newer sets including most of the Vidiyo sets.  I actually was able to price match them at my local Target today so got an extra 5% off with my redcard discount.  I need to decide if I want to bother with any of the Vidiyo stuff.  Just realized I forgot to check stock on the City Wildlife Rescue Off-Roader set while I was in Target.

^^Adding to my earlier post, based on the LegoDeals reddit, #66684 and the other Walmart bundles have been available at these prices for a couple weeks.

There's also a Friends bundle #66673 that is out of stock, at least online (Walmart link).

Not only did I find several #11011 at a nearby Wal-mart but they were marked down to $15! Grabbed two and a SW advent calendar. I have not seen the last three sets mentioned by @thenos above at any of my local stores though.

I was just browsing the Walmart app and noticed several Vidiyo sets on sale 20% off for early Black Friday…

    #43111 Candy Castle Stage $24
    #43112 Robot HipHop Car $24
    #43113 K-Pawp Concert $40
    #43114 Punk Pirate Ship $48

Plus most of the BeatBoxes seem to be $16 including the dragon and fairy.

Saw some beatboxes for $14 in the Target app though

Walmart app LEGO highlight for me was #11717 for $39.97

#41393 and #76385 are only 20% off sets but they're on my wantlist

    #75254 #75940 #75947 20% off

Many more 20% rollbacks in the locked case

Some beatboxes are down to 11.99 at Amazon... likely price matching whatever Target and Walmart are doing.

I don't know about anyone else but the Walmart app has been working for me again. I actually found some of the Advent Calendars marked down to $15.00 a week ago. I picked up one City and two Marvel Advent Calendars. The City set had been moved to the clearance aisle and was marked with a sticker. I went to the LEGO aisle and scanned the sets there but only the Marvel calendar was marked down.

Usually I would wait till the calendars were less then 10 bucks but these were the last ones they had so I grabbed them.

I've had a challenge at Walmart before trying to convince them at the checkout that the Advent calendars should be marked down with the same discount as other Christmas items.  Their argument was that the sets are LEGO and thus part of the toy section rather than a seasonal item.  This didn't hold up when a manager was asked and I eventually got the markdown.  :)

How so? They can price them any way they want. I’d just be thankful that the manager agreed.

Agreed, not sure how this rates as a "scam"? Cashiers usually have very little control over pricing, and managers can adjust prices if they agree with the customer's rationale or if it's worth it to them to just do whatever to make the customer go away. I wouldn't be pushy about getting a discount like this, but to each his own.

Has anyone noticed any significant "Clearances" at Walmart??  First time I'd been at my local WM since before x-mas and obviously, most of the aisle was empty.  But many items(tags) were marked clearance...anywhere from 20-30% off.  There were a few items left...nothing that interested me at that price.  But I did notice a couple SW items (Vader Meditation Chamber & X-Wing) were 30+ and. 50% off).  And the Creator Pirate Ship was $75.

Every Walmart I've been too for the last few months have been empty. And I didn't see any clearance stickers anywhere. I think our supply was just diminished enough they didn't need to clearance anything out. This was just a few days ago when I last went.

I was just curious if anyone actually found a few things.  There were dozens of stickers...just not many items.  So I wasn't sure if they just threw "clearance" stickers out there...which would be odd for WM employees to do 'extra' work or if it had been a sale for awhile and I didn't hear anything about it.
I found a large pile of Vidyo boxes for $11 and $12...and a couple of Friends items that were originally $29.99 down to $23 and $20...yes..with clearance tags not rollback.

And lately...at least for me....Brickseek can't seem to find many items in the area to search.....like Darth Vader helmet.
  • BrickWatersBrickWaters Member Posts: 20
The Walmarts in my area are the same, there's hardly anything on clearance. Some store have bare shelves while others are fully stock. My local store which marked down some Advent Calendars before Christmas was an anomaly. All the other WMs that still have some calendar are at full price.

I've never seen WM go this deep into January without a significant clearance.
  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,481

There's not much to clearance, and no need since there's plenty of shelf space!

^Quite true...but when has Walmart...or frankly Target ever done things sensibly.  I guess they obviously do much more research.  I was confused as to why Target was having Ideas type sets 30% a month before x-mas.  It's gonna sell regardless of the price, so why such a discount...it's not lack of shelve space.

My local WM has 3-4 City Advent calendars still..but at $22.xx.  The only sets pretty much left on the shelve around here at the Helmets...Darth Vader, Batman, Gauntlet.

Shelves were well stocked today but weirdly there were a bunch of Squishmallows stuck in the middle of all the new Lego.  Grabbed a few more series 22 CMF's, I think got a few of the Alien which I still needed.  Also Grabbed the Punk Pirate Ship thinking it would be $48 as the shelf tag said but it rang up $36.

Went back to my neatest Walmart today & as expected I was able to get the Vidiyo Candy Castle stage for $18 as well as the Robo Hip Hop Car despite the shelf tags saying they were $24.  Also got Raya's Heart Palace for $48.75 & the Dots Spaceship Pencil Holder for $12.  Someone else grabbed most of the rest of the good series 22 CMF's so I'm still in search of the Robot Repair Tech one.  The Walmart App Scanner is definitely your friend for price checking in store.

My local Walmart had the new SW poly bags and 4 boxes of the Collectable Minifigures 22.  So much for "Limited Edition".  Otherwise, it's still shelves of "clearanced" sets.  Still waiting for the 'clearanced' SW The Child and Creator Pirate Ship to drop passed their 25%off.

Had a Walmart today lower SOME of their clearance prices...which would let me to believe it was a corporate markdown, since some were dropped and other weren't. Found:

#75318  Star Wars The Child   $48  (closest WM had 1 all fall at $64 now has 4 for $64)
    #31109  Creator Pirate Ship       $59
    #76319  Mario Bros.  Bowser's Castle    $24.99
    #60215  City Fire Station     $14
    #76196  Avengers Advent Calendar    $11.99

    and others like
    #41690  Friends Advent Calendar     $20
#76382  Harry Potter Hogwarts Moments Transfiguration Class    $15
#71752  Ninjago Ninja Sub Speedor       $24
#31116  Creator Safari Wildlife Tree House   $20
#43111  Video Candy Castle Stage     $10
and lots of the smaller City sets were still  $7.48  (race Car, Roadwork)
