Over None of them Available!
That said after a week the Jan 1st sets came in my local shop. Bought a fair few of the ones they had. Technic Batmobile, and Hoth AT ST being the highlight in mostly City sets.
@iwybs - I've had this happen a few times, and I tend to try and pay it forward. Either buy another product and help defray that sunk cost that Amazon lost on this mis-delivery, or make a donation to FairyBricks or another similar entity. There are all sorts of creative things you can do to put some positivity into the Universe!
One was of particular interest as the box had only a partial delivery label, none of which had any address or name. The only explanation is that the driver literally just picked a house at random to drop the box off to.
It ended up being a very heavy and very expensive extension cable for a welder.
I promptly contacted Amazon who said I could either return it, keep it for myself, or sell it. They were also able to track down who it was supposed to go to and shipped a replacement out to them.
A few days later I was a sum of money richer after selling it off.
All that to say, I'll start shaking mis-delivered boxes from now on just to make sure I don't hear that LEGO rattle before I walk them back to my neighbors where they should have gone!
Reminded of something similar as a currency nerd - The Bureau of Engraving, US paper currency manufacturer, has a system where if they find a damaged bill after packaging, they'll replace the whole pack rather than open the pack to salvage the undamaged bills. Similarly, they'll replace a whole sheet if part of it is an error.
I'm not much for modulars, but I do like the idea of #41704 as a modular-scale/style Friends set.
I often mix Friends and similar models in a display. For example, #41092 was one of the first things I bought when I came out of my dark age and I combined it with #10036 from my old collection.
#41702 is another good idea even though I don't want it myself.
#10946 is a DUPLO camping set that I might want to go with my outdoorsy LEGO, like how I bought #10834 for my LEGO food collection
Kidding aside, I bet most of us could if they were side by side.
