    So a little while ago I got a notification that my order from last night shipped. I’m actually pretty impressed because it’s been less than 24 hours since I purchased those items and things usually sit “in processing” and then “in warehouse” for several days…

    Stopped by the LEGO Store on the way home to pick-up some sets I wanted that were sold out online. The tin sign is only about the size of a license plate, so I only spent enough to get a second Santa set as I have an online order with the sign coming.

    Similarly, 17999 MXN is around 850 USD
    Higher than US MSRP, but exchange rates and rounding make that seen pretty normal for TLG

    Not personally interested in Santa's Front Yard, but I'll take it if I'm thinking about get $170ish anyway. Often promos and VIP points are a sweetener for sets that aren't on an outright sale elsewhere

    Points expire 18 months after your last points activity.  IE, if you don't earn or spend any points in 18 months, then your points will expire.  LEGO says that they will notify you prior to your points expiring as well, but I haven't experienced it myself :)

    I would call CS and tell them you never got notice they were about to expire. Maybe they’ll give them back.

    So... I got my order from the VIP weekend. The sets and the promos looked to be in good condition, but instead of the NES and Speed Champion Vette sets, I got a Pirates of the Barracuda bay and Hogsmeade village (with the Invoice showing the correct sets on top of that)... Apparently someone at the warehouse has been hitting the ol' eggnog already.... At least CS was able to fix it and are sending me the right sets and the RMA label to return the others, but now I have an errand to run with getting this to Fed Ex to return.
    So if anyone here was supposed to get the PoBB and Hogmeade village, but got a NES and Vette set.....

    It's a pity they didn't just tell you to keep those! heheh No, that would be way too generous. That's a pretty big mess-up by them though. I guess the boxes are probably a similar size? Someone was probably preparing more than one box at the same time and just accidentally dropped the promos and packing slip on top of the wrong box.

    I'm going to be pretty upset if I don't get my A-Wing and they tell me they can't do anything about it because they're sold out now!

    I got some power function accessories I didn't order in a shipment a couple of years ago.  I called to let them know & they thanked me for letting them know & asked me to return them with a prepaid label they supplied.

    ^was this from an unopened box you just opened?  I have sets in shipping boxes I haven’t opened from years ago also... wonder if I received any extra goodies by mistake? I need to start opening my packages.

    Anyone know if they will have discounts on sets for Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

    The only info so far is what has been released.. My guess will be any sets to be retired that are still around for Black Friday will get a discount.

    Really crossing my fingers for a smooth midnight release. My wife is going to try to order the AT-AT for me to get Luke’s Lightsaber. She has an alarm set to wake up for it, so she probably won’t handle any problems well, being 3/4 asleep and all.

    Just checked my wishlist again which still shows mostly everything out of stock so unless there is a miracle at midnight I doubt I will be buying anything.  Mos Eisley is out of stock again so I guess we won't be getting the 20% off offer they had in Australia.  I'll check to see what is on offer but I'm not expecting much.  Looks like Target & Walmart will be getting most of my $$ this holiday season.

    ^I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO was holding back some stock for tonight, but I wouldn't expect any good sales for us. On another note S@H is up and running fine for me right now, but not expecting that to be the case at 11pm

    Got on the site at about 11:30 and the AT-AT was magically available at 1!:55p. Frustration free order for I think the first time ever. After I placed the order and got confirmation I was then put in a queue to really do any further shopping... Think I just got lucky this time around.

    Going through Rakuten puts my wife and me in the queue. Going to the site directly does not. That’s quite frustrating. Means gambling with the queue for 12% cash back or making sure to get the AT-AT.

    I had hoped that some new stock would magically appear at 11 EST but no luck. (Unfortunately most of my wish list is out of stock)… Oh well that’ll save money til the new year I guess…

    Yeah Glad I did not find anything I wanted as going through a certain site that shall not be named in the forum it takes you to a LEGO waiting room, then I get an XML error page. Exiting out of that shows that the addin button is not taking the cash back offer so it basically does not work.
    Still holding out hope that LEGO is not done with the discounts as if this is it, its pretty sad IMO
    Though I wonder if the lack of sale items means that LEGO updated their system to not list items that are no longer available online as sale items (like they used to do in the past-like sets showing as 'sold out' but yet had a 20% discount attached to them even though they were sold out a week or two before the sale was to begin).

    are the VIP reward certificates on sale? They mention VIP reward sale but I can't remember what the numbers are normally.

    The sale items are pretty lame. The one I might have gone for was the Bird Of Paradise at 30% off, but I already got it for that price plus redcard discount at Target last week.

    Okay, I can understand the limit of 4 on the $5 voucher, but "while supplies last"? It's a virtual item, how can they run out?

    Unless some better offers appear over the next couple of days I'll wait to see what comes back in stock to meet the minimum for the next GWP next month.

    Last year's ice skating rink GWP offer started on December 1. Are we really possibly going to have another promotion as early as next Wednesday?

    I'm really hoping Santa's Visit and the Santa Sleigh are in stock when the next promo comes around. I'm trying to keep those as the only two sets I allow myself to buy for the rest of the year!

    Agreed.  How do the physical "while supplies last" offers work? If you trade in points for a code then are you guranteed the item or is there a risk they may run out if you do not place an order right away? If they do run out, will they refund the points?

    Anyone have an idea on how long the UCS AT-AT and Luke's saber GWP lasted?  I kept it in my cart and kept refreshing almost 3 hrs after launch and they were still there (though I'm not sure if it would've been in stock if I proceeded with checkout).

    Similarly, anyone know if the VIP camera set is still available?  I redeemed the offer last weekend so can't see if it's sold out or not.

    Just curious how in-demand all of those things are.

    In the US both the AT-AT and lightsaber were still available around 8:00 or 8:30 EST and the AT-AT was gone by noon. Don’t know when in that window it ran out. Obviously there’s no way to know for sure what the status is on the lightsaber until the AT-AT is back in stock.

    I also redeemed the camera offer so I can’t help there.

    Wow, so the AT-AT lasted for quite a while.  Even if it qualified for the Rakuten 12% and as much as I want the saber GWP, I couldn't pull the trigger considering the set would just gather dust unopened for a long while.  I'm betting it'll go on sale for more than that at some point.

    Or maybe I should've just burned through all of my VIP points to lessen the hurt but the current rewards certificate redemption process is such a pain that I couldn't be bothered.  Either way, I'm not really feeling any pangs of regret.  :)

    Any one that bought the AT-AT online have it ship yet? Had an issue with S@H and two orders got placed, and showing in warehouse. Called CS twice. First person said nothing could be done and would have to return one after I got it. Was worried they would cancel both of them. Called again and second person said they would send it to the department in charge to manually cancel one, but they wont be in till Monday. Still afraid they will cancel, or send both.

    So one of my orders is showing it shipped with an estimated date of Nov 28th. It's a little after 8pm, and it still hasn't made it to the in transit stage on the tracking bar. So that's not happening, but there is a possibility of at least one showing up. The 2nd order (which was actually the first one placed that got screwed up) is now back to in process. I can't wait for this for this all to be over.

    Wow.  Such a hard no for me.  Happy with the pre-Black Friday VIP stuffs I got.  Fleece blanket is an interesting item, but only interesting in that it's different...still a hard no.

    Curious what December will bring for promos...

    The VIP rewards page is now working.  It actually allowed me to get 4 vouchers for online and 4 for in store or by phone.  Didn't see anything else of interest so I don't think they added anything else.
