Does everyone else have a better PAB wall than mine? We just have carrots and sand green 1x1 clips.
I know that it depends somewhat on the manager of the store. At our local store they wait until the wall is getting low on pieces before they make a new order. Some of the pieces in the picture above have been there for over 6 months (I got home and realized I already had a huge handful of those sand green modified bricks!). I was really hoping that they would’ve had those foliage pieces but no luck. I’ll just keep calling back each Friday morning to see what arrives in the weeks’s shipment…

PaB wall seems to run like my university cafeteria did ice cream in the self serve line. They almost always filled it with unpopular flavors like buttered walnut because when they put in flavors people actually want it would run out in just a day or two.

In talking with employees at my LEGO store, they have all mentioned an extremely high turnover rate of parts on the PAB wall. There are actually two other LEGO stores within a 45-60 minute drive, so there are other locations to check out too. I guess there is just something about that location that drives a lot of traffic.

Unfortunately, I don't feel that translates to them regularly getting in "good" parts. When I compare the offerings they have to pictures people here post all the time, it's like I've gotten the short stick. My store never gets panels, foliage, masonry bricks, trans-light blue anything, etc.... It feels like a lot of wind screens, 2x4 red bricks, carrots, and 1x1 round eyeball tiles.

    Yumm!! =oD
I daydream of approaching a PaB wall to find light grey tiles of all types, floor to ceiling...would that it were, would that it were.

I'm currently facing a dilemma of whether or not to get #71368 for 1.5x as much as it'd cost to BrickLink #77907 ($73 after discount vs ~$50 or US$55 vs US$36, no exclusive parts, excellent overlap making it very cheap to BrickLink the parts found only in the latter to complete it). Seems much better value for money given that there's so much more stuff in the bigger set (in particular I like Toadette, the Cheep Cheeps, the treasure blocks and the tree), but it's still more money that has to be spent and I don't have that much room for course building. I might actually part out a portion of the bigger set for this reason. But I'm also trying to save some for next year's shopping...

I got too excited and bought a tote full of used parts, against my better judgement. She set the trap, and I walked right into it.

"Some lego some mix blocks Cants guarantee the full sets are in the bin, you get what you see on the pictures including the bin and books"

It was obvious that there were instructions for a lot of sets but not everything was there, and that there were non-Lego blocks in the mix, but it wasn't clear just how much of it was knockoff, and what poor condition the minifigure parts were (no full figs). I'll sell a few parts and absorb some into my collection and write it off as a learning experience.

    Tomorrow is a new day.

I’ve been slowly tracking down the Space Police 3 sets - (with several added thanks to @SumoLego ).  I still need a couple, (including the #5984 Lunar Limo, if anyone has a spare 🙂)…

I have a lunar limo but I love it and will never part with it. Wish I had collected more of the line though.

Bought Corner Garage, the Mini Disney Castle, the Christmas Penguin, and 2 sets of train track expansions today.

I think that means the only retiring set I need for the rest of this year is the UCS A-Wing. Some others I might buy if there's a really good discount on Black Friday, but otherwise I'm caught up on what's retiring soon. Still plenty on my wanted lists to pick up the Christmas GWP, of course!

I picked up the Fender Guitar today for AFOL Appreciation day as well as a couple other small things. Last night was a lot of fun too with the Bricks & Minifigs Bulk Bash - well over 100 pounds of fresh unsorted bulk including premium pieces & for to fill up a gallon bucket. Very happy with my pickings from that (a lot of old light gray and old brown pieces).

I had the Minecraft Sky Tower in my cart for 21 Euro while in a meeting and it was gone before I had a chance to checkout. Did I need it? No. Was I even aware this set existed until it popped up as cheap? Not really. Am I still gutted to not have gotten a copy for the nice parts? Absolutely.

Amazon finally put the Advent Calendars on 20% off, so I grabbed one of these.  I’ll get the Friends version as well, but will probably pass on HP this year…

I just bought #10273 Haunted House and #71043 HP Castle off FB marketplace for a total of £200, which i'm pretty pleased with. Both came without box or instructions (yes they are genuine Lego, it's just the AFOL I met, discards the boxes and instructions and prefers building from her tablet). Anyway £20 later I have both sets of instructions. Boxes may be trickier to source due to their size for posting, but I intend to keep anyway, so not a big issue.

I just bought NISB Lego 76040 Brainiac Attack for $60. Is that a good price? I always feel weird buying retired Lego because of the hiked price.

Got the creator castle for 60% off, and the ATAT for 55% off (no, not the big one, but the 75288).

Check #76040 on the main site as it will list the secondary markets new and used price. Mine shows UK prices so it's £43 new which is around US$57

At the end of the day only you can determine if the price is good or not but I hope this gives you a small amount of help in coming to a decision!

My shipping scale maxes out at 55 pounds so this collection exceeds that. I know the Roller Coaster is in here, and lots of City and Jurassic stuff but no dinos (texted the seller to see if they are still around somewhere).

    Not bad for $160.

    Since Brictober to now been busy. Wanted all the TRU weekly give away sets. Now we are into "early black friday sales" and TRU has 15 to 20% off most sets plus I get an additional 10% on top for military discount so been there again to hit up christmas shopping for the child. so far past 6 weeks bought;

    3 x   #75301   x-wings
    3 x   #75300   ties
    2 x   #75311   marauder
    4 x   #75280   501st!
    1 x   #75319   forge
    1 x   #75312   slave1
    1 x   #75283   AAT
    1 x   #75316   starfighter
1 x   #76184   Kid wants mysterio and we don't have him yet
1 x   #76175   Kid has been drooling over set for months now in stores
1 x   #76172   Kid wants the new sandman (can't blame him looks cool)
1 x   #21173   Kid super excited for this one as it has an elytra

I also bought a ton of used lego, multiple hoth battle packs on both sides and lots of old clone wars sets as I am actively building up clone wars because it is the show my son and I really enjoy together and he seems to be more intense with his building when it is clone wars mocs. Anything to keep him building!

I plan to probably get him the pig house and ruined portal too as he seem to really like those as well. The star wars was basically all for me lol. I also think I will scoop up the bad batch shuttle as I regret not picking it up yesterday well there and the figures in it are awesome.

Well, I thought I had completed my Christmas shopping but I didn’t even think to get a gift for Grogu…maybe a new gearshift knob? 🙂

These 2 arrived today - I’m debating on whether or not to add the Hogsmeade set to my winter village, but I do like the look of that coffee cart…

I thought the Hogsmeade buildings a little "thin" for the WV, but found a great MOC on Rebrickable which does the WV justice IMHO (an inn).

So I ended up getting some stuff I couldn't put off after the end of this year due to retirement dates and limited availability.
#40426 Christmas Wreath is back so I grabbed one. As well, managed to order not only #71368, but also #71383 and #71382 all for 36% off. Unfortunately the series 3 Character Packs have vanished from all but the LEGO store, where the staff simply will not allow searching, even with gloves on. I don't know if I want to gamble for the three characters I want, as I can't imagine the rest being easy to sell.
Family ordered some IKEA stuff so I asked for a medium BYGGLEK box as well as a second large box. But they ordered a small and large by mistake so now I have two of those. So I had to head down to the physical store to grab the medium one. My BYGGLEK collection is now complete.
Was at the LEGO store the other day and gave #40442 and #40482 another look. Still unsure, particularly because I'd only want #40442 for the parts and the base — I'd be replacing the goldfish with a different sea creature.
Other than that, I don't have any other plans. I'm hoping that #21331 is indeed coming in January, which will be my birth month and I can get 20% off it alongside #40516.

@KungFuKenny I have that top one in my childhood collection. You jogged a long forgotten memory of trying to make those alternate builds as a kid. That often ended up being a lot more challenging than expected going into it.

In a hotel, so I can’t sleep well. Woke up at ~3am EST. Ordered UCS A-Wing and Bad Batch Shuttle. Get Santa’s Front Yard, Tin, and also redeemed some VIP points for the camera. VIP weekend is done for me. Yay! ?

Now… can Santa’s Sleigh and Santa’s Visit please be in stock next weekend? Or maybe in December when the next GWP happens? My budget is tapped, but I still need to get those this year. And maybe the AT-AT… who needs a budget, right?!

I tried to buy some Vidyo today as it's -40% in the local shop but it's still too much to justify, especially with the random boxes.

yeah, some of the sets are cute but the price per piece is crazy on most of the theme
