The Batman legos sets got me back into the hobby since I was a kid, here is my first build of many more dceu movies and other movies to come .
I had to start it off with Aquaman, one of my favorite movies in the dceu so far base on the mix of heart and humor.

Here's a solution for adding a curve with the new LEGO Road Plates, hope you like it!
I then decided on a mid-sized ship for the police faction, complete with storage compartments, missile launchers, and a prisoner stasis cell, and then posed it in “space”…

The result is a mechanical model with Santa and sleigh flying over the rooftops.
More pictures and videos in the Flickr album. Will add more at some point.
Has been great fun figuring out the design and all the little details.
The sleigh went through multiple iterations, but was mostly settled before #40499 was announced. I ended up borrowing the seat design from that, as it was better than the bench I had. Has been interesting seeing what is similar and what is different between the designs. I wanted a nice big cargo compartment to hold lots of gifts, and a red and gold theme from the start. The ladder and lantern came later when the back looked quite plain. The golden frog was required and a hood ornament, because you have to have a frog.
The battery and motor rooftop box was a a particularly interesting challenge. Had to figure out what gearing was needed and how to fit it in along with motor and battery into something that was not too bulky and fitted with the rest of the model. Am very pleased with the result.
During the designing I went back and forth between bricks and Studio. Finally, building a white box model out of whatever colour parts I had to validate it before committing to the BrickLink orders. I am now reasonably proficient with Studio, and learnt that it is much quicker to render out on a Windows box that has an nVidia GPU than on anything else, as it will use the GPU instead of just the CPU.
Not sure if you have instructions or design photos you'd share, but I'd love to modify something like this to fit my village. I already have JK Brickwork's motorized design, but would love a way at getting some movement in with the new sleigh and reindeer.
Well done!
