...Interesting and fun build - it's a nice addition to the other smaller scale sets in my opinion.
I'm just happy we have the UCS version that is something close to minifigure scale that vaguely matches up with UCS MF.

This isn't it - and it looks very toy-like compared to the figures.
I quite like that aspect of it - it's kinda chibi-like.

I'm half done with #71756. Work is in 7 1/2 hours, I should go to bed, but the radio station keeps playing great songs! (Metallica's "Enter Sandman" at the moment.)

@WesterBricks I think I have those same cases. Never thought to check them sideways. Now I need to check them when I get home, as it opens up so many more usage for them.

I originally mounted it right side up, and was disappointed at the wasted space. Then on a whim, I measured the vertical, found it was a perfect 12 studs, and just went for it. Ordered dozens of black 6x6 plates and voila.

No regrets. It literally fits twice the figs as before. Now I'm saving room for the Series 2 Vidiyo BandMates.

@WesterBricks ...really nice display! Did you cut it into the drywall as it looks flush with the    wall ? Where did you get the shot glass case? Thanks!
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,831
@Marshallmario if they're the same one's I have they were from Michaels by Studio Decor. Didn't notice in picture, but if they are the same it would definitely have to be cut into the wall to make the door flush.

    A) Thanks! I enjoyed repurposing it.
    2) It’s an optical illusion in this photo, the whole display sits proud of the wall.
    D) The case was a “curb alert” freebie, but I’m sure it was purchased in a nearby retailer.

Just finished 41055: Cinderella's Romantic Castle | Brickset: LEGO set guide and database. Aside from one apparently wrong 1x1,(white instead of gray), a missing white 30367, and an apparently completely gone sticker sheet(to my knowledge, I made the mistake of opening it, and not noticing it had 2, then never building it, for some reason), it's all there. Alas, too late to get sticker help from LEGO, as it's 7 years old, so Bricklink had them.

I’m curious how y’all have handled the hardware to put those shot glass cases sideways. Did you just pull and move the hanging cleats? Add new ones?

Also, did you do anything with the door? I assume just hung it with the hinges at the top and just held it open with one hand while putting figures in with the other?
  • WesterBricksWesterBricks Member Posts: 860
^ I moved the sawtooth hangers from edge of the top to the edge of the side with the clasp. After careful deliberation, I decided to hang it hinge-down, clasp-up, since the clasp was likely to flop around if it was at the bottom.

If I end up with a reason to worry about it, I'll replace the clasp with a beefier mechanism.

Carrying on with the Town Hall, I'm on the top floor now (I found the missing bricks, literally down the back of the sofa!).

It's been a lovely build. Pics incoming when done (not that you don't know what it looks like!).

And apparently 7 (or 14) were goats and the same number of cows. Just those animals would be a big wedge of cash on Bricklink before moving on to the rest of the 35,000.

I am currently planning to make a build that's a combination of a themed restaurant and Star Wars! For those of you who don't know what type of eatery that is, it's basically a restaurant that's entirely based around a certain theme. For example, the Rainforest Cafe tries to make the diners feel like they're eating in a rainforest. Hard Rock Cafe surrounds the guests with all sorts of props and decorations from famous figures through the history of rock.

So... my current idea is to have a Star Wars-themed restaurant MOC. Right now I'm calling it The Rancor Pit, and it would have three sections. The first section would be in the middle, and it would be the main floor. In the middle there will be an elevated stage with the Rancor bigfig towering over everyone, and it would likely be the main draw to the eatery. Surrounding that would be a lot of tables with servers taking the form of astromech droids with trays. I'm still working on what the other sections would entail. Thinking a raised area themed after the throne room in Jabba's Palace could work, and a gift shop run by EV9-D9 somewhere.

Digital build here, because real bricks are so expensive.  But if I had the money, I could order all the parts and build this in the brick.  No digital tricks here.

#8408 Desert Ranger / V2 Sports Star (🤣🤣) in blue.  Meh. At least it's a 2 seater. I was looking up a part & happened upon #8286; the base vehicle looks pretty badass, I may attempt  it.

@gelkster Very nice! I like #8286, although I don't know how it's a "3 in 1" car, unless it's for the winch, crane, and camera which are swappable between the car and helicopter. The B model is decent, too. I haven't built mine lately... perhaps I should!
