I added them to Bricklink as minepanda01 and minepanda02.
I actually made an End City myself a couple months ago. Here is a picture:
Don't forget elytra!
The "Abandoned" Mine looks a bit basic and bland, to be honest. I'm not sure what it brings to the table really, but getting another slime is nice.
Looking at Minecraft in general, we've had some recent sets for the major releases and it looks like plenty coming in the near future as well:
1.13 Aquatic: #21152 Pirate Ship with Turtle, Turtle Eggs & Dolphin. No Drowned yet though, which is a shame, but may well appear in the rumoured Coral Reef set.
1.14 Village & Pillage: Loads! Pillagers, Illagers, Ravagers, Panda, Fox and upcoming Llamas & Traders.
1.15 Buzzy Bees: Upcoming #21165 The Bee Farm with Bees, Beehives and Honey
1.16 Nether Update: The Warped Forest coming next year.
1.17 Caves & Cliffs: Plenty of new blocks, which may possibly appear in future sets, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for Goats, the Glow Squid, some kind of Axolotl and, most of all, for a Warden!
Teal 1x1 Heart of the Sea? Possibly! I'll have to think of a way to create a convincing Conduit in Activation Frame.
Obviously, this is just a recolour of the standard Minecraft helmet, but nice to have.
#21168 The Warped Forest - As expected teal bricks for the trees and, slightly different to @veyniac's MOC, has purple trunks and I'm disappointed they haven't used the Plant, W/ 3.2 Shaft, No. 2 in teal to represent Twisting Vines or Warped Roots. The big ones here are the new Player Skin figure, Piglin minifigs and the Hoglin build. The Piglins look great, while the Hoglin is okay to my eyes. Not brilliant, but not bad.
#21169 The First Adventure - Looking at the mobs, this set is definitely themed to Minecraft Earth, with a new Moobloom build, a Dyed Cat and a Horned Sheep, all of which are unique to Minecraft Earth and not present in the standard game, although the Dyed Cat is not even confirmed in ME, I believe! The set looks good, with a couple of play features, including some falling sand, a water elevator and something to do with lava bursting out of the rock, as well as some rails. It reminds me of #21147 The Bedrock Adventures in some respects.
I'm really looking forward to getting all of the new sets, though #21166 The "Abandoned" Mine is a little lacklustre, as I mentioned above.
the new sets definitely sound great, who would of thought 2021 legos would have bees, hoglins, drowned, and strangely familiar flashbacks to old sets*
*(seriously, abandoned mine has a strange feeling around it, just can’t shake it)
And also the introduction of Minecraft earth is definitely going to be a major move for lego, just like the dungeons set, it’s going to get interesting to see how lego is going to handle these spin-off stuff....
We'll see, but the bulk of the sets are still definitely related to the main game.
We rarely get a clear look at these versions of models so it's nice to see what could've been...

Yes, the Ruined Portal is likely to be smaller that yours, @veyniac. The Jungle Abomination is another Minecraft Dungeons mob, but I have no idea what the other two are likely to be, other than something related to their titles! I can't think of anything Minecraft-specific that they could refer to, so a couple of "player-built" structures seems likely.
On a separate note, but because I was trying to see how many individual parts were in your MOC, @veyniac, is there an easy way of getting the total number of bricks for a given BL wanted list? It shows the number of different parts, but not the total and I can;t spot where to look!
21171 The Horse Stable 241 pcs ($20?)
21172 The Ruined Portal 316 pcs ($30?)
21173 The Sky Tower 565 pcs ($60?)
21174 The Modern Tree House 909 pcs ($100?)
21176 The Jungle Abomination 489 pcs ($40?)
Hope we get some netherite armor in these sets, though I'm guessing they'll throw a full set in the most expensive set...
@Waterjedi17 Yes, some Netherite Armor would be nice. Possibly in The Ruined Portal? Fingers crossed! :-)
The Minecraft theme is certainly showing no signs of slowing down. I wonder: Will 2012 or 2013 be classed as the 10 Year Anniversary and will we get another large D2C set to celebrate?
Overall, I'm not too impressed by the builds themselves, though they may grow on me. There are some nice new elements and all the new player skins are appreciated though.
My Minecraft Story…
I purchased my first LEGO Minecraft set in 2017, I think it was #21129: The Mushroom Island. Little did I know then about Minecraft, I only knew it was a computer game and I had seen screen shots from it. These reminded me of the first computer games that I played in the early eighties of the previous century on the ZX Spectrum from Sir Clive Sinclair. Still have my Spectrum somewhere and also it’s predecessor ZX 81 (with 1k RAM memory!). The games that were available in the early eighties were all very blocky and basic and ‘sprite’ driven.
Therefore I was very much attracted by the blocky design of the sets produced in the Minecraft theme. But having virtually no knowledge of the Minecraft world, the sets didn’t make a lot of sense to me. Nevertheless I bought quite a few of the sets and also started to collect all brick built animals and mobs. I even started to add not yet catalogued animals to the Bricklink inventory, which is fun to do.
Last month I downloaded the Minecraft game and started playing. A whole new world opened right before my eyes! Suddenly everything I came across in LEGO Minecraft sets made sense. I also became aware that the set designs are very close to the looks of the game. Now that I’m playing the game (and looking up many elements in the Minecraft Wiki) I can safely say that I’m addicted to LEGO Minecraft.
Well, that’s my story in a nutshell. I hope you liked it.
There aren't a huge number of us Lego Minecraft fans on here, so any additions are more than welcome!
Check out @veyniac's posts in the MOC thread, for some excellent Minecraft MOCs, some of which I have built myself. Instructions are also available on Rebrickable.
I quite enjoy playing Minecraft myself, as I enjoy the freedom that "Open World" games can provide and still play regularly with my two daughters in various worlds that we have created. They prefer building, while I much prefer adventuring, so I usually end up losing all my valuables to them! ;-)
I haven't had the time, or space, to rebuild my Lego Minecraft world for quite some time, so I am looking forward to doing so at some point and adding all the new sets that have been added over the last few years.
This is what it looked like way back in July 2016 (heavens, was it *that* long ago??!!):
This did contain all of the released sets up to, and including, 2016, plus a load of added bricks for basic scenery, so there's obviously a lot more to add next time. I'm especially looking forward to building something around #21137 The Mountain Cave!
There aren't very many of us who like to talk about the new sets and other things Minecraft, so maybe we could keep it all together here. Thoughts?
I am in complete agreement. I think #21128 The Village was the first set that had a non-raised build and I can understand why they did start to move away from having fully raised sets, due to the number of bricks used.
However, apart from sets that have water or lava, which are always non-raised, there has been a steady transition from 2017 to around early 2020, where it is very obvious that the bases are pretty much all non-raised.
I will be doing the same as you and will raise all the sets to the same level in my build. When it happens.
Re: #21136, it is a bit of an odd set and got rather slated when it was released, perhaps understandably, as it is a bit of a block!
The interior, play feature and, of course, the Guardians and Squid definitely make up for its blockiness and, frankly, I'm not sure how Lego could have made the exterior more interesting, given the source!
I think that it could definitely have done with an least one extra normal Guardian though.
The other issue is that there weren't very many sea-related sets at the time, apart from #21129 The Mushroom Island, which is a bit tenuous really. Now, however, we also have #21152 Pirate Ship and #21164 The Coral Reef, which at least allows you to create a bit more of an aquatic area. I've got a couple of Coral Reefs and may add another one or two, especially for the Drowned Zombies! I have also added extra bricks to BL orders recently, so that I have some more Sea Pickles and Kelp, which will definitely help any future display.
Yes, definitely more Coral Reefs needed!
Sea Pickles
Kelp
Both are represented by elements in the Coral Reef set.
Overall, it is an excellent display though, the landscaping is really impressive.
As I mentioned in the "What are you buying?" thread, I just started my 2nd wave 2021 purchases with #21172 The Ruined Portal and also grabbed additional #21164 The Coral Reef and #21165 The Bee Farm at a discount.
I definitely wanted more Coral Reef sets (I have 3 now), as I would like a bit of size to the underwater part of my display and definitely wasted more Drowned Zombies. I picked up a couple of additional ones from BrickLink as well, so have 5 in total.
Again, I really wanted some more Bees, so that I can spread them around the landscape a little and an extra set of Elytra and a Villager is a definite bonus!
The baby Hoglin could have been better. I assume that they were trying to replicate the black "crest" behind the head by using the 2 black Tile, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip, but this is available in tan as well and I think would look a little better. I might try it out at some point.
I do like the purple baby Sheep and the full set of Netherite Armor is excellent, especially with the modification of the standard helmet piece to match the different shape in-game.
@veyniac's MOC does look more accurate, but does not have any of the transformative features and I don't think it would be too difficult to modify the Lego version somewhat, to increase the accuracy, without impeding the mechanics.
I'm looking forward to getting some more of the latest sets, especially #21173 The Sky Tower and #21171 The Horse Stable, but a little ambivalent about #21174 The Modern Treehouse and #21176 The Jungle Abomination. I'll probably wait for a significant discount for those two sets.
