All weekend? Dude, I think that’s hazing 😳
HA ha yep, that is usually traditional with the stag. To do a lot of fun things but also humiliate them as much as possible.

That said I did get hit while wearing it so it seems to work as a pulling technique.

With the recent acquisition of #6195 I now have a fully boxed collection of all the general release Aquazone sets from its first year of 1995.
    Congrats!! Such a fun theme!

I loved those 90's boxes with the flap and the windows. Starting Seinfeld tomorrow. My local store is closed due to lockdown so I'm waiting to see if I get a message about the new August 1st sets. See if I can meet in a car park like I did a couple of weeks ago.

Finished #71040. It's way smaller than expected, length and width-wise. Height on the other hand...

#6195 is one of my favorite sets of all time!

…so I suspect the real challenge will be #6190 Shark’s Crystal Cave. Give me a shout if you know anyone in the UK willing to part with one! ;)
Funny you should mention that one, as I had a nice boxed copy arrive just a few weeks ago…

    I’ll post some pics once it’s built…
It's been two days- what's taking so long? :) Can we see the back of the box, too? I have all of the Aquazone sets, but no boxes.

No. I just redeemed my points for in-store vouchers (to get ready for Sunday morning! 😁). I had no difficulty.

Juist finished sorting a huge BLorder for several @inklingbricks-models. Tip - only click “apply order” to your wanted lists WHEN SORTING. I didn’t, and it posed a little challange.

well, all set for the WV-additions for this year, aside from the TLG-set.

Yupper.  Apparently, I traded for a Sandcrawler.  Once I figure out why, maybe it'll make more sense.

(I don't think it fits the roads in my city.)

Pretty sure you made a wanted ad for a Sandcrawler. Also try putting Pringles cans in your City as that helps Star Wars sets blend in perfectly.

So, this is probably a sign of a sickness - finally getting around to opening the spoils of trades...

    It's like Christmas in July!
(I don't remember what is in half of these boxes, or why I traded for them.)
It’s not a sickness, you just need to put it in perspective. For me, I don’t drink, smoke or use drugs. Therefore the time and money needs to go elsewhere. Also I’m just help out the economy.
    Right?

I actually have a backlog of sets to build. I bought #80024 The Legendary Flower Fruit Mountain two weeks ago, but haven't built it yet because I have nowhere to put it. A week ago I got #75550 Minions Kung Fu Batyle; same problem. Friday, #75316 Mandalorian Starfighter and #60300 Wildlife Rescue ATV. Today, #75310 Duel on Mandalore and #75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle. How will I find time to go to work?

<code>I am desperately trying to finish my modular urban park before I head off to college in two weeks, and have gotten a little stuck. If you wonderful people don't mind, I could use some feedback on what I have so far:
    A few more specific questions:
    1. Gate or no gate? I like how it fits in with the fence, but it also doesn't look particularly welcoming when closed.
    2. Do those of you not in the U.S. still have those white ribbed tree protectors?
    3. Would it be weird to have the picnic blanket and the picnic table right next to each other? I don't know where else to fit the latter.
    4. What else should I add?

Thanks in advance for any help!

It's really cool. I'm not sure about any of the following comments - just thoughts really.
Love the pagoda, wonder whether a different roof colour might contrast more - dark red/orange maybe?
I feel like the picnic table is a little bit big - I like the design though. Would a park bench give you the same effect for less space?
Critters? (although, this mouse is the only thing that looks appropriate to me) A mole hill? nah.
Play equipment is the only other idea that occurs to me - a swing could look great.

Fab work so far - looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Oh, and good luck at college!

    Looks great! Love the tree!
    You Qs:
    1. Gate is cool imho.
    2. I've never seen one of those protectors.
    3. Maybe you could make the table only 4 studs long - also, maybe make use of another angle than the plaid
    4. Maybe you could use some gold frogs on the fountain, instead of the 1x1 plates?
Also, a little stream maybe - you could add green frogs (if you like wildlife ;))
That Pagoda is awesome - i might need to steal the idea of how you did the sides.

@veyniac that looks great! If you are going for Minifig size I would maybe make some of the elements slightly larger. If you are going for that size I agree and would make the bench a little smaller.

From a European perspective, we don't have white ribbed tree protectors. But we have something similar in that it is just a white tube that goes around the tree.

Feeling very frustrated @ TLG right now, a number of sets I've been trying to get have been apparently retired! Missing out on the Marvel sets in particular are the ones that annoy me the most. I don't understand the logic, when there were so many issues with local retailers getting stock, [email protected] was constantly OOS on so many of them, why the hell you'd retire them earlier than usual... ARGH!!!

Finished building  #21325 The Medieval Blacksmith, it is a really fun build to take your time and relax build with. Especially after your boss spends the day being infuriating. I wish I had my other castle sets build as I feel like it would fit in with them really nicely.

@VorpalRyu I know what you mean. Been waiting months for the 60's Batmobile to get back in stock. In the end I just ordered it from New Zealand. Their stock issues have been crap since they set up down here and we didn't have to rely on European warehouses for sets. Hope you end up getting the sets you want. How many Au retailers have you tried?

I'm just waiting for my local store to give me a text to meet somewhere so I can buy the new sets off them.

Just for kicks I decided to stage an underwater scene with a backdrop…

    Purdy!!

Question to you, or anyone - where have you found good sources for backdrops? I've been looking through the offerings on Amazon and am not overly impressed with what I've seen (for my purposes anyways).

I use high-res images printed out at Costco’s photo center (pretty good image quality and not expensive)…

Are you printing onto a vinyl sheet? What sizes can they print up to, if you know?

^ For their regular photo enlargements I believe they can go up to 20 x 30, which was big enough for my purposes in that I’m just taking pictures of smaller models. If you go through Costco business printing, I know they can go a lot larger (but probably more expensive as well).

Well, the universe has taught me to shut the f*** up. My car died yesterday, needs an alternator and maybe battery. Stuck at home today, it will be done tomorrow, but work starts at 5am so will miss at least some hours tomorrow. So I've built everything but The Legendary Flower Fruit Mountain, that's next.

Finally started on Pirates Of Barracuda Bay after I finally got my hands on a Classic 60's Batmobile. Out of stock since the day it was released so I had to get it from New Zealand. Now we wait for my Lego supplier to get in the Star Wars sets I want.

I keep seeing Boombox #43115 drop on Amazon DE and thinking 52% off, 53% off... I should get it right? But even for parts it doesn't seem like a good buy at that price.
