If you have never seen it, it is a decent show!
As mentioned the first 5 or so episodes take some watching as they set up the universe... but after that it picks up pace quickly!
The rest was pieced together from spares kicking around, the base should be 6x6, but the 8x8 gives space for the Demogorgon on the side.
For now, I have had to "make do" with another of @BenBuildsLego's skylines. This time, it's time for some prehistoric action in Jurassic Park!
With my short background in Lego (about a year and a half) I can't think of any that were better than #71741 for building. Only problem I have is wanting to deconstruct so I can build it again but then I'd have to deconstruct it and like it sitting on display!
I’m also a big fan of extra parts, and was not disappointed!
I love the look of that set so much. Maybe one day if I'm lucky.
and just like that, parts and stickers ordered! thanks!
There are a few un-numbered bags that made ne think I had missing parts for bag 2, until I decided to look for those bags!
I was also missing one of the white curved fence parts #6146188. I finished building the set using a brown one from my collection. They sent that part as well, but it took weeks for it to arrive. And now all this time later I still haven't gone back to replace it.
I was a little worried that all the trees and other foliage would be a bit boring to build, but it was actually very therapeutic!
I hummed and hah-ed a bit about whether to build this one, or another that was available on Rebrickable, which was possibly a bit more detailed, but I think the overall look of Ben's version is just more appealing, so went with his.
Another thumbs-up from me!
I really must stop doing these skylines for a little while now and concentrate of finding the space to build my new Death Star next! I will be doing more at some point though. The SW Mandalorian / Rogue One ones are appealing to me at the moment, but we shall see.
It is Bricklink's Stud.io program. Great for building and making instructions, not so good at rendering.
After some health problems I’m finally getting back to #70620 (the original Ninjago City), and I’m looking forward to seeing all three sets lined up side-by-side!
The build looks amazing. It's unlikely I'll ever be lucky enough to have those sets in my collection. But I'll never get tired to looking over the details.
A couple years back at BrickCon in Seattle, they did a giant Ninjago City style collaborative build. I spent a ton of time at the table looking at how creative people were with their own additions to the theme.
Oh and quick question on the cat issue, does yours like to lie down in loose bricks on the floor? Every time I go to sort lego mine just loves to get in there and sleep on bricks. Looks seriously uncomfortable lol.
I am currently on bag 6 of #70620 …
