I just checked- the ear is not available, but a couple of the other parts of the elephant are!

Loving that Seinfeld set. I just know as I build it I'm going to be reciting my fav scenes to myself.  George and the fire and his excuse after excuse for his cowardly actions still cracks me up.

I really wish they'd bring back more of the farm animals. But cows are available in Studio, so you could always build in that and render the results.

It still absolutely boggles my mind that one of the architects of modern live-action Disney movies, Star Wars and the MCU... was Eric the Clown.

@LummoxJR, that is a tip-top idea... and almost certainly the best way to work.

    However:
Cost of LEGO cow - approx cost £17 (irrespective of relative exorbitance) arriving tomorrow!
Cost of new computer to run Studio on (because my archaic iMac can't run it or any other meaningful LEGO software anymore - dagnabbit) - approx minimum cost £450? and I have been procrastinating about buying one for a multitude of reasons for over nine months now.

@Mr_Cross Well with that logic it would be stupid not to buy the cow.... You could even through in a goat and still be way ahead.. I like your way of thinking Sir! *Tips hat*

Soo I was snooping other peoples collections and went to peek at @560Heliport and one of the first sets I see is 560: Police Heliport.... You know I struggled to find a name on this board for 2 minutes before I skipped all creativity and went with my name lol.. Now after witnessing such an amazing way to pick names I am almost tempted to remake my account so I can have the glorious name 580Brickyard...  Jealous of all you and your creativity! Even my lego creations need inspiration from pictures of all your cool builds.

@EGRoberts The Heliport was my first LEGO set, Christmas 1974. The aunt and uncle who gave it to me gave me a lot of my favorite toys, #493 Space Command Center for instance!

@560Heliport I honestly don't know what my first set was, I know the sets I had as a kid that made the biggest impression. #6066 , #6054 , #6077 , #6073 , #6080 , #6074 , #6075 , #6085 , and #6081 . I loved castle, always had a soft spot for forestmen though which is why I was so happy to get castle in the forest. I no longer have my childhood lego but have collected enough to build it all again if I want. I had a lot of space too as kid but the castle is where I lived out my adventures the most.

@EGRoberts The only castle set I had as a kid was #6077. I mostly bought Space. Once I graduated high school and joined the army I had a lot more money, and got several of the sets you listed. #6085 is my favorite castle!

Last week I ordered the Minecraft Witch from a Bricklink seller in Switzerland. Received it today. I've never spent so much money (~€ 41) to a single minifigure before.
I'm seriously asking myself if this is the limit...
But I'm afraid the future will bring even more unpleasant acquisitions...

That is a huge amount to pay for a Minecraft figure @Brickfan50! It is, obviously, pretty rare though, having only appeared in one set so far.

So now that I have no lego room for the next year I turned my attention to having matching storage. I have virtually no display space for the year so all built displays had to be torn down and sorted.. It has been a huge undertaking. I purchased a ton of my favorite sterilite 3 drawer units thinking I would have room to grow my collection. It wasn't enough so I got more.. Sorting still happening and for the love of god I think I need 1 more row of drawers.still.. I'm kinda blown away by how many parts where built into displays. Of course it doesn't help that I keep buying more Lego but c'mon.. How many drawers is this gonna take?

Of course they come down. It looks scarier then it actually is. Im about 9 months away from having a lego room again and then those bins will be back at ground level on shelves. I think I can fit another row if I curve the drawers around the corner, just have to figure out how Im going to explain it to the Mrs since the last two times I ordered I said "Don't worry, it's a lot but I wont need more storage for years!".

@EGRoberts Great, your problem seems to be solved for nine months. But be honest: when your ultimate LEGO room finally gets finished your spouse will ask: "Dear, you told me a year ago that you didn't need more storage for years. But what about that truck in front of our house? I see two men unloading a pallet of boxes."

It really is a problem, I miss my lego room something fierce, it will have been 11 weeks this friday since I let go of my personal lego room... It is all about the end game though, the next lego room will be huge! That way no matter how much lego I put in it it will always seem small as the room will be big... It is all about appearances. If that fails I'm an army specialist so I will resort to my training and hide in the bushes outside the house. Wife can't kill me if she can't find me =)

I use 2 sizes of organizers each size fits 4 in a drawer. There are square and rectangular. I mostly use the rectangles in the drawers so I can see all 4 from the front of the drawer. The square I use when organizing parts. They where bought at dollarama (dollar store) and are awesome. 4 fit exact in each drawer with little wasted space. I even use them to whiten my white lego.

@pxchris awesome books. I went through a phase of collecting Ladybird books but I never came across any of these.

These books honestly don't seem to be too well known outside of the fanatical Pirates collector community. I personally only found out about them a couple of years ago via Eurobricks and some Wiki reading.

What I love about them is that they're basically a continuation of The Golden Medallion comic including even somewhat similar art. I've always loved the comic, so I knew that I eventually would need to add these to the collection. That I was able to find them at such a reasonable price from a UK bookseller, and that I was able to buy the complete set at one time was just thrilling.

As many of you know from my previous ramblings, I am planning on displaying a large layout of the original wave of Pirates at our convention next year, so all of this ephemera serves a larger purpose than just my own collecting habits. Things like these books will add quite a bit of flavor I feel.

I also love the bios that are at the beginning of each book.

Glad to see there is a female pirate. I reckon Will probably has a mega crush on her but Anne will be having none of it cos she secretly is in love with a sailor in the Royal Navy.
(Obviously I have never read these books and I am just completely guessing the plot)

Digging into some old sets, and ziplock bags of random minifigs, and was surprised to find that Lego Woody (TOY003) has long legs.

Honestly assumed I'd somehow got some knock-off LPG0 or something for a while, but nope, it's real.  I don't know if I like it or not....

Are there are any other minifigs with long legs? I think Jessie did, but were there any outside of Toy Story or is that it?

You guys made me curious, so I looked up cows,(need some for Noah's Ark, anyway). All I have to say is BOOOOOOO to the prices, or maybe....MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Same with goats. So...I've been buying sheep, and other critters(that creep, fly or crawl on the Earth.) Goats will be baaaaaaaaad, because I need 2.

Just go the 'Assault on Hoth' direction. If two Stormtroopers = Assault strike force then you can be a few animals short on the ark.

Continuing to dig into the old Pile O' Shame, part reorganisation, part archaeology.

Today I found a stash of Mixels. I forgot how good Mixels were. Such a fun theme, although how they got a whole 9 Series out of it is a bit baffling, looks like I lost interest around Series 6.

Reverse that - goats are clean (therefore needing 7), but pigs are still unclean (therefore only needing 2).

    #offtopic - my apologies

Having cows come back into the product portfolio would be nice though! Especially the black and white one. I have a brown one only.

What hasn't been helping is my recent-ish addiction to BenBuildsLego's skylines. I recently completed his Jurassic Park one and just last night completed Neuschwanstein Castle! (I'll post pics of that elsewhere shortly)

Saw Black Widow last night and now I really hope Lego will come out with new sets other than the two already released, both of which featured scenes that were not actually in the movie. I need an (accurate) Red Guardian minifigure!

Given the actual plot, it seems like LEGO went heavy on Taskmaster minifigs.
