Just to let you all know that some charity shops will bin Lego if it comes in loose.....for eample in a shoe box. I only know this because my wife works in one and caught them about to put a plastic tub full of Lego and Duplo into the skip!! I have now put a note into many of the shops to phone me and I will buy it from them. I would suggest you all do the same....Lego deserves a new home!!

a good friend of mine works at a charity shop. had a lady bring in some sets so he had me look them over. one of them was a sealed 4762 - rescue from the merpeople - originally priced on the shelf for 3 bucks. i convinced him to rethink the pricing on that one.

I think because it doesn't come in a 'proper' box they never thought anybody would buy wrong they are.....on top of that the shops are mainly operated by the older generation who may not know how popular even loose Lego can be.

    And you're welcome

My local charity shop knows darn well how popular Lego is, I asked a few times and they say that every time they get Lego it is sold within a few hours of them putting it on the shelf, which has led to the situation where you now sometimes find some on the shelf, normally a little tiny bag with around 50 pieces priced at about £4, and commonly of those 50 pieces 10% are marbles, stickle bricks or something similar.

Not saying it is nationwide, but probably worth a word. I got around 300 pieces for 2 quid.
