@Modeltrainman first of all, Mecabricks looks much more photorealistic. If you do a good enough job, sometimes you cannot even tell the difference between a Mecabricks render and an actual photo. Here are some comparison shots:
    Stud.io:
    Mecabricks:
Also, using Mecabricks allows you to render extremely high-quality pics in minutes, as opposed to having your own computer grind for half an hour to make a 1080p resolution photo. Finally, there are a lot more customization options in Mecabricks, like over a dozen different lighting options and several different backdrop and floor options.

I was just sitting down with some coffee to read when I saw your post!  I pulled a few of my favorites off the shelf...

The one I find myself going back to the most is Great Lego Sets: A Visual History... for fans of vintage sets it is a very satisfying read...

My son loves the LEGO Neighborhood books and pours over all of our LEGO books every night. :o)

Any of the Jeff Friesen books are brilliant. I received the Castle Book recently and it doesn't disappoint.
It's been a while, but I built a set for the first time in a couple of months. Cut the seals and started the Probe Droid last night.

Saw this on Brothers Brick and it was just so cool I thought I'd share here too :) Can't resist a brightly coloured moc!

Parents surprised me with this today as they noticed I was a bit stressed from work and the move - they’re the best! My backlog is starting to look hefty now, and with the move being pushed back for at least another month it may be time to cut the seals on a set and unwind :)

Super excited that I will finally get the free "limited edition" Lego Unity minifigure!  It was a bit of a challenge to learn Unity and be able to develop a microgame in a week but I was happy I participated and learned a lot about this platform.

Found my local branch of Bricks and Minifigs today. It's well kept, clean, well stocked. But it's a long drive through city traffic in the hot hot sun to get there, so I probably won't be back anytime soon.

    The end.
My daughter insisted that she liked green tea mochi, so we bought some at ridiculous retail expense.

I am now enjoying green tea mochi.

^Ha!  We shall see.  I'm motivated to use this time off from work for quality time with the family, followed by Lego building at night...but we'll have to see what my energy levels are like by the end of the day...

I move May 22nd but still have about 5% of my collection with me. It was all displays and the minifigs off my display shelves.. I'm a little paranoid now as I was sorting them all by theme into different ziploc bags and saw tiny cracks on some of there arms! Now I am going over each one twitching as these have only ever stood on rubber lego tape on shelves and never played with. I just don't get the cracking, I have been fortunate with torsos and feet never really cracking (odd old figure maybe) but the arms on figures from 2012 sets to present seem to have issues at random as not all but enough seem to have this problem.

Feeling slightly annoyed, received my Bricklink order today and despite making purchases of both new and used bricks they all arrived in grimy condition so its impossible to tell which is the new from the used bricks. Also not all bricks were genuine Lego so messaged the seller and awaiting a response.

On the positive side, whilst boxing up some of the junk in the attic ready for our move I found an old plastic tub with about 2 dozen polybags in, nothing rare or exciting but it will come in very useful whilst the bulk of my collection is in storage for the next 6 months or so!

That’s a huge black mark against that seller.

^ Looks like it’s built on the Great Wall base :)

Lego should definitely do that one in the Architecture line.

Neuschwanstein MOC is much more detailed than I thought it would be. Would be great to have sets like that in the Architecture range as opposed to the many skylines. The few architecture sets I have are the scale models of places I have visited (Brandenburg Gate, Burj Khalifa etc.)

Cutting down my June 1st releases. Cutting the Chamber of Secrets. For some reason I've gone off it in a big way. I'll probably end up getting it but at a discount in a few months. More sets I want keep getting a June 1st release date so the ones that don't catch me right away go in the maybe list for now.

I am having to be very selective as well since there are so many great sets being released! I was going to get the new FRIENDS set today, but after the Daily Bugle reveal, the new monochrome minifigures, Flower set, Harry potter massive figures etc etc, I need to be selective. I will have to wait until Amazon or other retailer gets them to discount!

The Architecture range has many detailed models. There are a lot of skylines out, but there are also the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, White House, Trafalgar Square, and the new Taj Mahal coming soon. And that’s not counting retired sets of course.

Didn't realise the new Taj Mahal is coming out under Architecture and thought it remained under Creator Expert. That might actually make it more appealing as I do like the detailed booklets with the history / information :)

Happy Birthday @560Heliport , it's my wife's birthday Sunday as well, she's not getting LEGO! Although She has expressed an interest in the Everyone is Awesome set.
Treated myself today to a couple of magazines. Normally I'd wait until my local WHSmiths drops the polybags into his bargain bin, but there was only a loan Batgirl copy left, so I grabbed it. Got home to the new Explorer issue as well.

Man I really am digging the classic 4-wide truck in the new educational set on the front page #45817 A perfect blend of modern and what I had as a kid. Makes me want to try and do some mocs in that same style.
