I see that now on Brickset, not sure how I missed it.  Neither derivatives however seem to google on Bricklink or Shop.Lego.com.

The actor and Shakespeare are both great for army building Elizabethan characters.

^ I had no idea he was sought after.  How odd.  Relatedly, I don’t recognize that numbering.  To what site do those apply?
That’s just the normal set numbering for CMFs. #71004 is the Lego Movie series, so #71004-8 is Shakespeare. #8833 is series 8 (8834 is a typo).

    Oops, you're right: 8833 it is :-)

The one on Lego Ideas is even worse. You can know the title of the project you are looking for and the username of the creator and still have to resort to Google.

Just found this in a job lot attached to an 8729's shoulder. I know it's a 53544/57474, but can't find any record of one in trans-black on Bricklink. Any clues to its source? Looks and feels legit and has all the standard stamps.

You've got me stumped. I checked several thoughts I had on the subject just in case, but none seem to support my early suspicion.

Conclusion: Must be rare. And valuable. Put it on Ebay for $150.

They look like segments of World Racers sets and a TIE fighter of some sort. Might help narrow down as World Racers was quite a short lived theme

Top left is #30265 Worriz' Fire Bike. Lower right is #70141 Vardy's Ice Vulture Glider. (Both are Legends of Chima sets.)

Bottom right looks to be from #70008 Gorzan's Gorilla Striker or similar.

    https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=11091&colorID=11&in=A

Black wing things were only in a few sets.

Can anyone help identify the helmet with the orange stripe on the right? I have searched the database on Brickset and Bricklink and this particular helmet does not show up. It is almost identical to the helmet with the yellow stripe from #7655 but as you can see the stripes extend all the way to the back. This is from an old lot of LEGO. It is not a clone brand nor could it be a custom.

Any idea where these heads are from? CMF series? Found in a bulk lot.

  • flordflord Member Posts: 797
I think I found the orange stripe. I think it is a custom from Firestar Toys.

#8684-9 the mime from Series 2. I've been after that one for quite some time!

Feeling bags? Them was barcode reading days!

Indeed! It wasn’t until series 5 or 6 that feeling bags became the only practical way to determine the contents of them. Barcodes and dot codes were fantastic.

I could never be bothered to print out a sheet (did we have smartphones back then? :D) and strain my eyes. Always found feeling the most straighforward way, as I always had access to my fingers.

Very true, I still know the (European) barcode to the Spartan, the trick is you only need the last few bars - medium thin thick thin thin.

The doctors tell me if I’m well behaved I can have access to my fingers in six months or so :)

I must have raided every store in Northern Virginia back then in desperate hunt for thick thick thin thin Spartans .  I can’t seem to ever recall important familial moments but apparently have no issues retaining the stupid stuff.  Raiders 81- Kobe 81- Crispy Wheat and Raisins - Dances With Wolves 90 - Knowing is half the battle - UCS Falcon 10179 - Ryan Leaf 98 - Bendy Horses 10509 lol

Not only were there smartphones, someone also collated the barcodes into a scanner app for quick and easy IDing.

^ It looks to be, yes. But I can't see the ramp.

That headless green torso in the central bin could be an old Green Goblin. Also see a dragon masters fabric flag.
  • Mr_CrossMr_Cross Member Posts: 1,688
#6211 Star Destroyer frame and at least there's the front end of #7884 original batmobile in the back box, bits of #7467 ISS in the LHS box, too much in that middle box to really see and instructions for #7257 ultimate duel in the RHS box.
It's looking like a collection from the early noughties... probably worth a punt (depending on the $$$).

Looks like a couple of the X-pods as well https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=S&catString=623 which would also place it early 00's.

Feel like the 32x32 raised is more likely Rock Island Refuge https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=2552px4&in=S which pushes the collection into early 90s, ties in with some of the other pieces and gives a solid early 90s-early 00s childhood collection.

Hello gang - can you offer any advice on these fellas?

For reference the bottom two legs are dark tan, and the top torso is olive.

    Thanks

Oh yeah. I recognised the others from memory but had to do a bricklink search for that one (olive sweater) and was probably the yellow hands throwing me off. And it's exclusive to that figure.

I tried to claim my prize but they were out of stock.

I have this blue classic spaceman torso, but It's a bit different from most. The classic space logo is centered. The torso is the "H" type style from the 80's to 90's. My first impulse is to assume it's a misprint, but I then again it could be from a more obscure set.

Can anyone identify which set this came from? I tried searching on Bricklink, but the closest design I could find were the black and white centered reissues. But even then this one is different, as it's more 'centered/top' than right in the middle of the torso.

I recently spotted another spaceman on a used marketplace with the same centered logo, except it's yellow.

Thanks in advance for any and all help! :)

Hello, I just wanted to share this with everybody. I found this somewhat locally to me and am puzzled as to what it is. I’ve never seen it before but it seems legit.

The colouring and logo styling suggests 1980’s maybe? Seems like it would have space sets on it.

I’m wondering if anybody has seen one of these before and if it’s actually licensed by LEGO?

These are mid to late 90's, and appeared primarily at TRU for make-and-take events.  K-Mart utilized these for end-caps and in the 'impulse' areas for temporary displays.

I have a couple of these in my shed and garage.  Other than spiders enjoying living in the support tube, they're excellent modular shelving.

The squarish yellow ones on wheels are mid-2000's and later.  Also used for temporary displays and for public events.

They are 100% legit, and actually are made pretty sturdy.  The LEGO badging are just stickers - so nothing real impressive there.

  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 3,871
Probably #7692 MX-71 Recon Dropship, from the Mars Mission subtheme of Space. But it could also be from #7690 MB-01 Eagle Command Base.

@Quinkiwi that massive and lovely (in my opinion once cleaned up) vacuum formed baseplate is the main terrain from #4748 Ogel’s Mountain Fortress, a Mission Deep Freeze late set for Alpha Team.

What is the sandblue piece in the bottom right of the 2nd pic. Is that Mega Blox? Trying to decide if this is worth what the seller is asking.

Doesn’t look like a Lego piece. TLG’s large curved pieces like that don’t have studs on them positioned that way.

Cargo bay doors from the big Mega Bloks Space Shuttle Endeavour circa 1998. You should see if you can build the whole set and take some comparison photos with 10283! The big gray piece is for the payload middle in the cargo bay. You can find instructions for the set online.
